We will definitely be back. Wonderful service and delicious food. This was our first time here and it was worth every dime.

They take reservations which is a huge plus. Seated immediately and drinks brought out quickly. I got the fried shrimp. The French fries that come with it were great. The shrimp had a light batter and were cooked perfectly. No one at the table was able to finish their meal so that should give you an idea of the portion size. Definitely will return and Summer took great care of us.

Service was nothing short of outstanding. We went on the earlier side so things probably get very busy from the crowd I began seeing as we were leaving. Crab bisque had a velvet smooth texture, great flavor- needs more crab meat. Gumbo- excellent flavor no added hot sauce needed. Fried shrimp were perfectly cooked. This is an odd menu item, but I'll admit, I'd eat it again: crab and Brie quesadillas topped with hot honey. Not a big portion but perfect with the bisque. This had great flavor! All-in-all a great experience with a dockside restaurant view. Worth your trip and if you get there early enough they have a great happy hour.

Atmosphere is so beautiful, so it is such a shame that the food does not match the scenery.

We decided on a classic vanilla "leftover" cake that was one day past Halloween. The sprinkles didn't scream Halloween, so it was perfect for my grandmas 90th birthday because she LOVES sprinkles! It was 50% off and man this cake tasted like a $100 cake! You can tell this was made with Fresh and real ingredients! The icing was my FAVORITE! It had a smooth bite to it! And the cake, Y'all it was sooo moist! It was a large round 2 layer cake. We had tons of leftovers for 6 people. Served with birthday cake ice cream and my grandmother LOVED it! I can't wait to go back and try their Carmel and strawberry flavors! 10/10! Supper local!

This small shop is located in a large shopping center next to a grocery store I was unfamiliar with (Rouse's, if I remember correctly). Thankfully, that makes parking pretty easy. The inside is simple but cute, and very clean. The one girl working that day sort of looked at me like I'd grown three heads when I came in and didn't offer any assistance, but warmed up when I chatted her up while checking out. She was quite nice once we spoke to each other but the lack of hello or can I help you after looking right at me in an otherwise-empty shop was kinda weird. I selected two cake slices: a caramel cake slice and an oreo chocolate cake slice. I was somewhat tempted by the German chocolate cake but couldn't discern any coconut or pecan pieces in the frosting. Maybe it was a more literal /german/ chocolate cake, rather than the chocolate cake with pecan and coconut frosting named after Sam German? I usually assume the latter in average US bakeries but who can say. The lady at the register informed me the cake slices were BOGO that day, so the price was right! Though I can't help but wonder if the fact they were BOGO reflected some kind of decline in quality or an older cake slice, because sadly I didn't really enjoy either cake. I will admit I delayed a day or two between buying my slices and sharing them with my husband, so perhaps that contributed to the deterioration of it. At any rate, the Oreo chocolate cake was very dry. The icing had kind of separated from the cake and had crystallized into a crunchy, saccharine strip. My husband wouldn't even finish his half of the piece. The caramel cake was better, a tiny bit more moist with slightly less "crackly" icing. Still not my favorite -- a little on the dense side, and still fairly dry. Again, perhaps this experience was partially on me for delaying a day or so in eating my treats, but I dunno. Perhaps cupcakes are the way to go instead? I'm not sure. I'm sad I didn't have a super positive experience, but I like the concept of this business and I wish them success!

I popped in fairly early on a Saturday, early enough that I was the only customer. This place is covered practically floor to ceiling with every variety of cheesecake imaginable, in individual portions to giant shareable cakes. There are a few other treats available too, like cookies. After browsing the flavors, I decided on a small sized turtle cheesecake. I think it was maybe labeled as individual but I comfortably shared it for a smallish dessert with my parents. My one disappointment was that all the smaller cheesecakes I could see were in circular servings (like a large hockey puck) instead of slices. I don't know if I'm just bad at looking for things or if they don't sell slices anymore, but I made out okay with my dessert. Service was very friendly and welcoming and got me rung up quickly. I took a quick bite while it was still cold and then saved the rest for about 1.5 drive up to our lunch spot on our way home. It held up pretty well in the air conditioned car. The bites were delicious both times. It's a pleasantly thick and creamy cheesecake. I enjoyed the chocolate cookie crust though I wish there'd been slightly more of it. The turtle toppings on top really added extra tasty flavor, though I only found chocolate and caramel -- no nuts despite it being a turtle cheesecake. That was kind of a bummer, but I still really liked my dessert. I'd happily get this same cheesecake again. Definitely worthy of a try if you find yourself in the area!

However, we unfortunately weren't impressed with the flavor. Presentation wise, very fun and cute. The mermaid tail was presented with everything I got except I didn't get the mermaid tail gummy/charm on my sundae, a bit odd haha. The mermaid tail was $8 but really it was beautiful! The vanilla ice cream however, was not great. It tasted like imitation vanilla, like vanilla extract. Not a fan at all. My husband got a milkshake with m&ms and gummy worms. Mix ins were great... but the ice cream again was just OFF. It didn't taste like a normal chocolate ice cream and we couldn't figure out what was off but something was. This is how much of our items we decided to go ahead and toss due to flavor just not being what we expected. I think this is a fun place for kids and a fun experience, but I don't think I'd go back just because of the flavors

Since its establishment earlier this year Milkshake Momma is fast becoming a favorite spot for locals and tourists with their comfort food, unique atmosphere, and over-the-top milkshakes. Founded in Ladonia, Alabama, as part of the Southern Roots Country Store, Milkshake Momma has quickly gained popularity for its delicious comfort food, over-the-top milkshakes, and lively atmosphere. The restaurant's was founded by a group of friends who wanted to create a place where people of all ages could enjoy delicious treats and create fun memories.  While Milkshake Momma currently only has one location in Orange Beach, AL, the restaurant is now offering franchise opportunities to interested entrepreneurs. Milkshake Momma's menu features a wide array of unique offerings, including epic FREAK Shake milkshakes, old-fashioned milkshakes, banana splits, cones, cups, freak donuts, mini donuts, cobblers, and cheesecake and cake by the slice. Their food menu also boasts a variety of tasty options, such as burgers, hot dogs, salads, and funky fries. I've got my eye, for my next visit, on the Outlaw Chili Dog which is a hot dog, topped with mustard, house-made chili, onions, slaw, and pickles, it sounds delish. Also when I'm not being my regularly cheery self I'm coming back for a Cheer Up Buttercup, which has a  Peanut Butter Rim, Vanilla Milkshake or Sundae, Topped with Slice of Cheese Cake, Reese Cups, Reese Pieces, Pretzels Carmel and Whipped Topping, that sounds cheery :-)  I had my first Pistol Pete shake that was quite  enjoyable, and by the way they use Blue Bell Ice Cream here, and I do like their stuff.  Bottom line: Milkshake Momma Burgers and Shakes offers a fun dining experience with its unique atmosphere, delicious comfort food, and over-the-top milkshakes.
