    Chimichangas

Chimichanga was pretty yummy, but the tortilla part needed to be a little bit more fried to become more crispy. Other than that, the flavor was yummy.

I'll start with the only positive thing about the place - the queso was very enjoyable, the tortilla chips could stand to be salted. The rest of the experience was very meh. We both ordered the Torta with Carne Asada. It came on stale bread, with meat that was tough as well as unseasoned. The refried beans were over seasoned with chili powder and I can't comment on that rice, as I didn't even bother to try it. The restaurant itself is rundown with chipped paint and scuffed walls. They could stand to turn the heat up, as it was -7 the day we ate in there and it was not a warm place. The waitress mumbled at us from another table to sit anywhere we wanted. She was polite, but not thrilled to be there.

Terrible customer service and overpriced poorly made food . I do not recommend this place .

Of allllllllll the restaurants in Fairbanks that I have visited over the last 26 years, most of which have A) sub-par food B) horrible service or C) (most common) Both, Taco Azteca has ALWAYS, even over yeaaars, been consistent. That is saying something. I know I'll spend $20, get fantastic tacos and enchiladas and tamales, and have great service. This has always been my favorite place for not just Mexican food, but for going out to eat in general, as this town is just plagued by mediocrity and an attitude of "where else are you going to eat?" Taco Azteca has NEVER disappointed me. The portions are always generous, the food is always piping hot, the food is always good, the wait staff is always welcoming and attentive, and I have never left upset about spending my money there. That's a lot of "always," and that's what I love about this place. It's just ALWAYS good. I have counted on and enjoyed Taco Azteca for years, and when I'm in town, I make it a point to come back and enjoy the food. The restaurant is split into two sides, one side is for more leisurely sit down and be waited on, the other side is walk-up, order, a person brings out the food, you refill your own beverages, get your own condiments and silverware, and leave. The food is from the same kitchen. The sit down and be waited on side you're provided chips and salsa. Today I had the two tamale and one crisp taco. I usually get the two enchilada one crisp taco. Well, you can't go wrong with any of it. The tamales were fantastic, and the taco was great as usual. The Azteca Chicken Taco is one of my favorites as well. I just love this place. Its one of the few restaurants in Fairbanks that appreciates it customers, has consistent food and service, and is actively trying to always be better for the customer. I highly recommend and will definitely come back!

I've eaten here 6 times and love it. Never at rush hour though. Azteca Tostados are as good as I've had anywhere. Bar has pico de Gallo, verde, jalapeños, sour cream and three salsas

This place has decent food but has never been a place I willingly choose to go back to. Their drinks aren't worth the money.

I ended up getting some tacos and my husband got a sandwich. Both of them had really good flavor. Could tell that a lot of ingredients are made in house. Though I didn't end up buying any I did see that they had an entire Bakery case with a bunch of gluten-free baked goods like cheesecake, custard cake, and some other stuff. We really enjoyed the glass roof as the snow was just starting to melt. It was kind of cool like we were in a half melted igloo. I would definitely put it on my list if you are gluten-free.

Landed on the BLT with salmon. The BLT actually came with a croissant as the bread, so it made it very easy to eat. Lots of bacon and the salmon went really well with the sandwich. Fries here are great too! Staff here are great! Since we came here near closing time, they actually offered us some of their leftover soup since it would have been tossed out. Definitely hate wasting food, so that offer was accepted very quickly. I didn't realize until after leaving why Blue Roof Bistro has its name. It's because...the roof is blue heh. Either way, worth the visit.

So ok I was craving tacos today and. A huffy of mine suggested this place..... and for good…read morereason!!! The tacos are amazing!!!! This is a small lil joint with big flavor!!! Lane and Brady are two of the nicest people I've met in alaska. But let's get to the taco!! The tortillas are made fresh in house!!! We ordered the Alaska , the Texan, and 'Mercian tacos!! Freakin delish!!!! I can't wait to go back and try the other tacos also they have a special I'm not sure how long it'll be there but he said about a week. It was a chicken taco with pickled hominy and onion and some kind of white sauce which was fantastic!!! For two meals and en extra taco and horchata we spent $45 not including til which of course I tipped them. Averages out to about 7 a taco and 2 for the rice n beans. All in all not a bad price . Most definitely recommend coming here if ur looking for a shorter wait time don't go at noon! lol the lunch rush was pretty funny. But u know they're good when u got that many people in a small venue. lol

Also had the Texas, which was really good. Sauces were excellent! The beans & rice were good, but nothing unique. I'd suggest get 3 tacos & skip the beans & rice for same price as 2 tacos with B&R. The dine in space is small, but if the weather is good the patio is nice. Very friendly service as well & a good hip vibe. Close to UAF campus.
