I moved here from Arizona 20 years ago and have always been disappointed with Mexican food in CT-UNTIL I WENT TO TACO BACHI. I got 3 bean tacos & they were a revelation. Every ingredient on these tacos were sheer perfection-from the handmade corn tortillas to the smoky refried beans, to the Oaxacan cheese. Prices are so reasonable for the quality of food that is served. I don't know how they do it, but man am I glad they do! read more

I can't say enough about this place. This is the best Mexico/Latin food you will get in upper Fairfield county. Ck our the website to make sure that you go at the correct hours but it is a must go to. Don't tell too many people or it'll get even busier! Found this place on a whim while driving to a show at the Brookfield Theatre for the Arts, its a godsend in a place where there isn't a ton of restaurants or places to eat. We arrived to be greeted by smiles and quick service. They have a great selection of beverages to meet every taste. The cost of the food was super reasonable considering the amount of food you received. We got three tacos, 2 drinks, a torta and chips and quac for $29. Their house made corn tortillas held up to how much meat was placed in the tacos. They have a fixins bar for you to add your own cheese and salsa to customize your tacos. That is just genius. Everything was delicious and tasted like it was made authentically. So in a rush, I left my tacos at the restaurant which came in a biodegradable container with 3 slots to hold the tacos. I returned 10 minutes later and was greeted outside by one of the employees holding my tacos. I will definitely be back. read more

I would really like to give Taco Bachi 5 stars. Their tacos are great, and so are their hot sauces. Their burritos are where they lose me though. It's not the taste, but the lack of meat in the filling. I've had them with chorizo, carne asada, & carnitas. There's no meat to speak of. All you get is a big fat rice bomb. There's not even enough meat to flavor the "rice burrito". I will continue to stop in for their tacos, but at $10 each, I'll get my burritos elsewhere. It's an unassuming hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere with excellent burrito and friendly owners.

They make a really good taco. Very fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. I particularly liked the chorizo taco. If I had to skip one it would be the fish taco, only because I'm not a fish guy. +1 for courteous and fast service as well. read more

SO GLAD this place opened up. This is a straight to the point taqueria like you'd see in Mexico or California. Handmade tortillas for tacos are 100% corn and amazing. The carnitas pork is done right! The fat has melted into it, it's soft, and amazing. This is a no frills place, so don't get it confused with a restaurant. There is some standing space but that's about it. This is mostly a grab and go taco joint that makes real Mexican food. This is not a Taco Bell with sour cream and other nonsense. $10 for three tacos packed full of meat and the buffet has all the toppings and salsas you want. read more

They have the best tacos you can get your hands on. Soon they will be serving up weekly specials in addition to their tacos, burritos and bowls. If you are tired of eating mediocre mexican food and really want to try some real deal authentic tacos this is the place to go. You get to customize them yourself with lots of sauces, salsas and toppings and you are supporting a small business run by an amazing family. We have enough chain restaurants in town. Another taco joint that the locals will enjoy and think is out of this world and for the area it is in, it's very good. However, there are much better and more authentic Mexican joints. They are not in Brookfield however. I will be back because it's acceptable but live out west for 10 years on Mexican food and you will be a tough critic as well. read more

So here we are with another restaurant by Jose and his family. Nice clean store inside. I went two days in a row. First day for tacos which were good. Make sure you take advantage of all the toppings and sauces they have. My second day I did the burrito which is my favorite. The rice gives it great texture and the pulled pork was awesome on it. This is a great local taco eatery. The tacos are delicious and generously piled high with your choice of protein. If I had one complaint it's that the toppings bar gets crowded because of the small space available. Other than that, it's terrific. read more

Authentic & delicious. Haven't tried the burrito, only tacos, but have tried all the proteins that go in them and they are outstanding. The fixings are to the side for you to serve yourself and are always fresh and plentiful. Plenty of sauces to try, too, from cooling sour cream based to paint-peeling hot. The hours are limited - but set an alarm or mark your calendar, because it's worth it! Try it once, you'll be back. Take note that it's a take-out only joint. My husband and I lived in California for a combined 13 years. He, in LA, me in San Francisco. We've really MISSED the authentic Mexican food we loved, and Taco Bachi HITS IT HOME! The carnitas tacos are our favorite. The tortillas are FRESH, SOFT, Homemade corn tortillas. The place is small. No indoor seating, and that was just FINE with us. It was a beautiful day & we sat outside on the picnic tables. My husband got a mexican coke and I just chose water. They let you top your own tacos at the toppings bar. I miss having the pickled carrots and they did not have them, but they had just about everything else. Even Tajin. Its a winner in our book, and we'll be back. My daughter loves Taco Bell so as a treat and given we've been isolating for over 2 months I agreed to do the drive-by with her. I am not a fan of hard tacos or chain food but I was craving good Mexican. So I looked up tacos on yelp and found this place, only a few miles down the road. Wow! What a find. It's small but clean with a great covid take out system but most importantly they serve up some fabulous tacos. All the ingredients are fresh and the seasoning of meat and fish were very flavorful. I even got my daughter a hard taco to compare and she admitted the Bachi was superior. So nice to find this place and I intend to return very soon. read more
