I've never had a bad meal here. I've ordered things I don't like and wound up liking them. The waitstaff is excellent on a bad day and even better on a good day. The kitchen is quicker than you'd expect. Sometimes, we can't even finish the free homemade chips and salsa before two entrees are served. It's hard for me to rate this because I was a regular customer of their other location in Garrison, NY. I loved that place! I've only been here twice (once take-out, once dine-in). The salsa didn't do anything for me and the beer was somewhat warm, so right off the bat they were behind the 8-ball. I had 3-tacos which had a lot of stuff in them (super messy, which was fine), but not the best. The rice was tasteless and only warm, but the beans were excellent -- 'very' hot and tasty. I have to go back again but knowing how good the other location is and how this is the same restaurant, I'm down to check it out again. Fair and reasonable pricing. read more

Have been in this plaza numerous times but finally made the effort to stop it for dinner. Wasn't too busy, but the staff was very friendly and attentive. My margarita was great and strong as well. The jalapeño poppers were very cheesy and had a good kick. Both entrees were flavorful and filling. Prices were reasonable and the restaurant was well decorated. We walked in and there was only one other table being served. Our server kept disappearing into the back- I'm not sure if she was the waitress, the cook, manager, in charge of the register, etc... it was just bizarre! Then out of the blue, this nasty, rude senseless individual came out to grab my credit card and she had such an attitude that she attempted to snatch the booklet off my hand with the receipt and my card and in the process dropped my credit card on the floor. She literally snatched it off my hand! I think she was angry that we interrupted her siesta and she was very obvious to show it. My best friend was beside herself. It took everything in me not to give an attitude right back but we had enjoyed our food and I was in town on vacation so I didn't was to ruin my vibe. I hope hope this is not the norm here. We hadn't eaten there since the Summer but were in the mood for Latino and stopped in at the end of March. I forgot just how good their food is and need to go more often. I had the chicken poblano and the mole sauce was as good as what I had in Oxaxa (If you've been, you know the food is fantastic there). The staff are great people and the experience is as pleasent as you can imagine. We kind of specialize in dining early - late afternoon, really so it hasn't gotten busy (which it certainly will) and it's super relaxed. Their sauces are so good I've bought some to go in the past. When the chicken didn't thaw out in time we decided to go local and close. I've heard a few people talk about El Coyote so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. Clean, open and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food had so much flavor and large portions. There was a few things I would love to go back and try from the desert menu. With the chips they give you and the portion sizes we were stuffed. Stayed in the dining room, but the bar had lots of options that were visible. Always a friendly welcoming environment, I love eating in or ordering take out. I always get nachos and creamy potatoes which taste amazing! They have so many fun drinks. The salsa is delicious, I'm always excited for it. Also you get so much food for such a reasonable price. I've eaten steak and shrimp dishes -- great flavor and presentation. My favorite is the table side guacamole preparation... so fresh! Very tasty and you can decide how spicy you want it to be. We have come here for many years to eat. The food is excellent. Sadly the Wednesday night crew that was taking care of us tonight, was awful. We arrived just after eight with a 9.39 closing. It was obvious that they did not want to serve another table. We had to ask for everything that we needed from the salsa and chips, condiments, the check.. We may as well have gone to the kitchen to get our own food. Please know that the weekends when we have typically come, staff has been awesome. The Wednesday night crew absolutely did not give a shit. Sadly we won't be back. It's the first time we left no tip and I typically tip 20% on an average service. This is the second time I have visited this establishment. I ordered the Churrasco - Sizziling grilled skirt steak marinated with fresh herbs and spices accompanied by chimichurry sauce, I thought it was excellent. My girlfriend ordered the Enchiladas, I sampled it and thought it was nice, I thought the sauce was was flavorful but we agreed the the chicken and beef versions were bland, the cheese version was the best. I visited this place after the good experience I've had before at the Monroe location, which is great. I was passing by New Milford, so I got excited there was a Coyote here. I ordered a parillada, a plate I know well at Monroe, I always have that. Boy.. this meal was mediocre at best, almost disgusting. Poor quality meat, chicken was thin as a sheet of paper, gross chorizos, everything greasy and tasteless. Love the black bean and cheese burritos, beef empanadas are flavorful and crispy, arroz cob pollo is a huge portion with lots of flavor, and fries are tasty. I was told they were running an hour behind. Explained situation and was told they would try to locate order. Driver had to go inside restaurant and wait when they had not brought out order by 10 pm.
