Food was good overall. The Bamba fries were the standout and full of flavor. The birria tacos were just okay for me since they used lamb and I personally prefer beef. The pollo al carbón taco was good and well seasoned. Ordering was a little confusing. There is a bar in the middle and the register is on the back right side. I was told to sit down and that my food would be brought out, but I ended up having to go grab it myself while solo dining and risking losing my table. I also skipped a margarita because the bar was very busy. Sports were on the TV though, which was a big plus. Overall a solid spot, just could use a clearer ordering flow. read more

Happy Hour (4-7pm) Review on a Friday afternoon. Plenty of parking in shared parking lot. I didn't know they had a bar and was a sit down- I always thought taco bamba was a fast food, grab & go. But they have a bar and plenty of tables and table service! We got the classic margarita, mango faux-garita, and Paloma. My classic margarita had a gnat in it but they remade it...I don't think it was the same drink, but good nonetheless. The flautas were a little dry but the nachos and the other fries were delicious. We wanted to get the chocolate chip churro cookie but they were all out. Our waitress was the only one waiting tables and making drinks and running all over the place- all while keeping a smile on her face- hats off to her! Would return! BLUF: food, as usual, is awesome. This review centers on the drinks/cocktails I have been to Taco Bamba at least a hundred times, and have never found their food less than great. This last visit is the first one where my group bought drinks/cocktails, and we were kind of disappointed. Did they taste good? Yes, for sure. So the complaint? Well, a glass that is 95% ice, such that you have about two decent sips of your drink before it is gone and you are sucking on ice cubes. My father used to say you can tell an honest man because he makes an honest drink. I'm not saying Taco Bamba is dishonest, but the drinks were not satisfactory. We ordered a total of 5 drinks between us, and all but one were over-iced. I'll always go back for the food, but won't order drinks again. read more

I made an epic fail. I didn't take any photos. Simply scarfed these tacos down. Let me preface this with I drove two hours home before eating these tacos and they were still so good! I got 4 tacos for myself all vegetarian and 3 meat for my partner. Every single one was phenomenal. We are from the west coast and generally unimpressed by Mexican food out here. Came in the afternoon and this place was packed. The service was amazing and I got some affirmation from my server that I did in fact need to order all the tacos that I did haha. The vibe is so cool and I'd love to stop in the evening for some drinks. The patrons were spattered with regulars that said it was their favorite taco spot. Taco Bamba delivered not only fast service, but they knocked the tacos clean out of the park as far as taste and portion. I wasn't even expecting a full bar so to have a nice cold beer to wash down your tacos is epic. This place is not fine dining, it's just all about the great Mexican food, fresh salsa, and in-house made guacamole. I got two taco bambas (skirt steak, chorizo, grilled guacamole, cotija, pickled onion, pickled fresno, cilantro, chicharron), tortillas soup (chipotle braised chicken, avocado, chihuahua cheese), and a Modelo beer. As I recall the total was about $20.00. The tacos were small and inexpensive, so it is easy to customize youi meal size inexpensively. They seemed to close very early at 9:00. The weekend I stopped by, it was packed with customers so seating was limited but nonetheless a good sign of a great atmosphere spot for gathering of friends. Went to Taco Bamba for happy hour on Memorial Day and was not disappointed! $5 margs and delicious menu items are a great pairing for a fun afternoon hangout. Special shout-out to the bartender, William! He was so kind and made us feel right at home. The ambiance is very lively and a bit on the louder side. We've been to a bunch of Taco Bambas but it was packed the night we went to this location. They have traditional and specialty tacos. I always try three different specialty tacos and they never disappoint. They are all so fun and packed with balanced and fresh ingredients. Each menu seems to have a few tacos special to that location that are themed in a way representative of that location which is cute. I love their salsas and that they have a salsa bar. Camaron Baja Shrimp Tacos are always a fresh flavored goto. I always come and order 3 with a shot of tequila and it always hits the spot. Taco Bamba has never failed me. They also offer regional specific tacos on their menu depending on which location you visit, which I think is a great touch. Most importantly, their food is good. All the tacos are generous in portion size and come with a medley of toppings and sauces that work really well together. They do a great job of combining flavors and cooking their proteins into a cohesive taco. Have yet to be disappointed with any of their locations. I sat at the bar and ordered shrimp tacos, elote and chips and queso with ground beef. The shrimp tacos were ok but tasted a bit dry. I think it needed more sauce. The elote was good. The queso was too oily and greasy when mixed with the ground beef. My server was nice which I appreciated, but I would try a different menu item in the future and come when it's less crowded. Everything was good but my advice would be to get dirty style which they add extra dollar to each taco and I recommend only get dirty style to only half your order. I think the food is very reasonably priced. We always get the quesadilla with corn tortilla substitute bc my son is gluten free.
