Should have read reviews before coming. Waited 30 minutes. They could not issue refund either due to none of them knowing how.

Love & Hominy - Three delicious tacos sitting in their holder just waiting for me to make a mess

I got a meal with Vietnamese (shrimp) and Korean (pulled pork). The Vietnamese taco was suuuper good, flavorful mayo. Had to get past the idea of rice on a taco and then enjoyed myself thoroughly. The pulled pork didn't match the flavors of the Korean taco as well; I think next time I'd get tuna on the Korean taco. The servers were quick and friendly, and the space had fun decorations and efficient, though small, layout.

We ended up coming back the next day without hesitation for 2 days of tacos in a row and I'd return in a heartbeat if ever back in Hood River. These tacos are addictive! With their mix-and-match fusion menu, your taco of choice can really taste any way you like. The Hawaiian taco with grilled shrimp was my favorite, but I also enjoyed their Thai taco with chicken. I wish I could have tried all of them as everything featured good, fresh ingredients. Don't skip the drinks here either. I usually avoid cocktails but they offered to make their frozen margarita spicy for me and I couldn't resist -- fantastic! The service was over-the-top amazing. This is a casual restaurant where you order at the counter, seat yourself with a number, and wait for your food to be delivered. Service at such establishments is usually pretty perfunctory, but not at Love & Hominy. The servers are all super friendly and seem genuinely enthusiastic to be working in their restaurant. That in itself says a lot. As mentioned, this place is casual but still fun and eclectic. While eating your tacos in-house, check out the wall on the entrance side. It's pretty entertaining to look at.

Located right on First, next to Randonne coffee, they have picnic tables behind the truck with stellar views of the Columbia. I've seen families bring wine and beer and enjoy tacos and burritos in this casual setting. There is another Mexican food truck in the parking lot next to Totem Pole Plaza. Chapalita's iopposite and you can park right in front of the truck or on 1st. I've had the carnitas burrito and the pork had a nice kick to it. Combined with beans, rice, guacamole, lettuce and sour cream, it was very satisfying. I've also had the carnitas tacos, made street style with your choice I'd meat, chopped onion, cilantro and lime, just the way I like them! They also serve birria tacos which are tacos with stewed meat and cheese, fried and served with a rich broth for dipping. They are all the rage these days. Both the red and green salsas they give you are wonderful. Ask for extra as the plastic containers are tiny. Service is fast and friendly. They take credit cards and sauce. I'm thrilled to have great Mexican food right in the center of Mosier, a tiny "Mayberry RFD" of a town with just a handful of food options. There is MoCo, a restaurant that is open for lunch and dinner Thursday-Sunday and serves pizza, burgers, salads and is excellent. Brenna's Market open everyday where in addition to groceries, beer and wine, you can get wraps and sandwiches. Randonne Coffee for rich and delicious coffee, breakfast sandwiches and the most buttery scones. And the two Mexican food trucks for burritos, enchiladas, tacos, quesadillas, tortes, birria tacos and more. Whenever I'm in Mosier I stop at one or all of them! It's all about supporting local while enjoying the gorgeous scenery, hiking the trails and taking in the spectacular river views of this magical area.

I wanted CARNITA TACOS, you know corn tortillas with cilantro and onions. I saw an option for crispy corn tortillas, and so I asked if they were just corn tortillas fried in a little oil. He had no clue. He asked the cook in the back (also white with long a hair and no hair net/hair tie at all). I told the teller I specifically did not want hard shell tacos. So once the teller came back he said "yeah not hard shells, they're made in house".. So 10 minutes later they came out with three hard shell tacos with only (pre shredded) cheese and lettuce on them. I don't think it ever occurred to the cook that using spices on the meat would make the food taste good. I also don't think it ever occurred to the cook that he should taste his food. They brought out the saddest portion of beans and rice that didn't have even a grain of salt added to them. The beans were cold and mushy with absolutely no spice. The salsa did no favor either, it was thick tomato water at best. HORRIBLE. Horrible. horrible. I could not eat more than a few bites before I was actually repulsed. When I told the teller I didn't really get what I wanted he actually acted annoyed, and said "it was a miscommunication". He was probably so high he couldn't even register I specifically asked to not be served hard shell premade tortilla shells! Then as I sat waiting to leave I saw the "cook" prepping lettuce by peeling off rotting leaves, and wiping his hands all over his pants before chopping the lettuce. Then started eating right over the counter he was prepping the lettuce on. He did not wipe the counter and continued with prep work. I came here on Saturday - 1/17/26 at 2:00pm
