You know, I don't expect a lot from a fast food restaurant most the time. You hope to get the correct food and hopefully the employees aren't rude or incompetent. In my opinion this location fits both those criteria. Not saying I've never had a mistake here but it's rare. I was the only one in the restaurant but I didn't get the notification that my order was starting to be made until 30 minutes after I initially ordered, from there it took 30 minutes to receive my order (two burritos and a drink). I don't normally leave reviews, but I had to make sure the right people got recognized. I came through the drive through tonight, 11-21 and was met by two very kind guys working the window. Although it was cold out, cold enough to see your breath in the wind, they were still very professional and very kind. You don't expect much, coming through a drive through but we got to talking, and it was just really refreshing. It seemed like they were having a good time, which made my experience special. I got the limited-time caramel apple empanadas, which were still hot in the bag after a 10 minute drive home, so extra kudos there as well. Absent is the word that best describes the last time I was here (yesterday). There was no one in the lobby yet most of the tables had crumbs or something spilled on them. There was no one at the register so I was forced to use the new ordering kiosk near the front door. I would prefer human interaction over a kiosk any day. My food came out quickly and there was nothing wrong with it. I enjoyed it. I'm not sure when this Taco Bell was remodeled but it looks nice. I know it's fast food so my expectations are appropriate. I was really in the mood for taco salad, and I've purchased taco salads before (granted, it's not something I do often). However, they no longer have taco salads, now they have something called power bowls. I assume they are supposed to be competing with Chipotle, but Taco Bell, you have your own niche. Should've read the reviews before I made a visit. I'm from out of town visiting a family member and this is the closest place to grab some thing. I will drive farther. I've been there twice, the first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt after tonight I know that it is a habit versus a one off. Yesterday order to crunch wrap supreme with black beans got ground beef. They were very nice and replaced it but it was still an inconvenience. Tonight I ordered Power bowl. The cashier wouldn't even look at me when I place my order. As I watch them make it I saw them putting extra lettuce over an area and when I got home realized that they were using extra lettuce to cover up the fact that they put one teaspoon Of beans. I'm currently writing this review from my bathroom. I've been sitting on the toilet since I ate Taco Bell from this location. It's 10:21 pm and I'm still on the toilet. Let me start by saying that I have almost never had any stomach issues with Taco Bell ever. This location has done me dirty though. The location itself is a pain to get into because it's under construction. Not a huge deal. I got my Order and it was accurate but I asked for mild sauce at the ordering window and did not get it. The bag was sealed which I like but I opened it when I got home and didn't get a fork for my potatoes or sauce or receipt. I like to take the surveys. Any chance to win money am I right ? So I ate my bland tacos without any sauce. My Baja blast was also secret watered down. It wasn't even its surf color it's supposed to be. Anyway within about 30 mins I started having horrible sharp stomach pains. I can only attribute it to this because this is the only thing I've eaten today. Maybe it's just me but the beef had a way different taste today then it ever has had. Maybe I need to take tums before going to Taco Bell in the future. I've only been to this Taco Bell three times and two out of the three times they have messed up my order. Every time I ask for no cheese (because I'm allergic) and two time they put cheese on the tacos, and I wasn't able to eat them. I get that it's fast food and they have busy times but all of the times I've been in there it's been slow and I've gotten my food fast (it may be partly my fault for not checking my order but I expected it to be correct), but I'd be willing to wait if it means I can eat my order. The person taking my order was pleasant, but when I got to the window the guy exhibited ZERO customer service ability. The ONLY thing he said to me was "$17.34", no 'thank you' or even the trite 'have a nice day'. He was more concerned with continuing his conversation with the female employee standing behind him at the window. Customer service doesn't take much effort and when there are a lot of dining choices in the area it can usually make the difference. I recently ordered the new chicken cantina taco which is supposed to come with crispy chicken but instead they gave me grilled chicken. I went through the drive thru only to find out they no longer carried the burrito they wanted so I had to wait for the cars in front of me to get their order the car in front of me was smoking heavily and all the smoke was coming in my car even with windows up it was disgusting. I am really surprised I stayed, only because I was determined to try the Nacho Fries. We can applaud the marketing team for that, or at least one of the two dozen Youtube videos I watched reviewing the highly anticipated Nacho Fries. Walking the whole place stunk of feet like the old ball pits at chuck-e-cheese after a long weekend, and it looked like no one had swept or wiped down a table in weeks. Obviously this place is well over due for a remodel. The staff wasn't necessarily rude but they certainly weren't friendly either. Everyone really looked like they hated their lives and I do not really know how else to express this. The Nacho fries box was underwhelming. My fry box felt half filled, my hard shell was broken, and my gordita crunch had no crunch. At least I had my baja blast.
