This place used to be good, but they don't have enough staff and it is VERY SLOW. It has been like this for quite some time, and the reviews confirm it. Apparently management doesn't care and/or they aren't paying enough to hire and retain staff. Why are there always people sleeping at tables in the dining room??? The food is ok, but the orders are sometimes wrong, the tables aren't cleaned, and the staff is so swamped there's nobody at the counter. This is a classic franchise management failure if there ever was one. Taco Bell is NOT CHEAP. How is it that they charge 80 cents to add a couple extra broken pieces of crunch strips or a half teaspoon of chopped onion bits, but if I order something without these things, the price is still the same??? You can go to a decent sit down restaurant for what it costs to go here. Almost $3 for fountain soda and they can't hire more staff or stop in to do something about people sleeping at the tables. read more

Taco Bell - Callahan was awesome this morning for breakfast. Got two breakfast bacon crunchwraps and was pleasantly greeted with perfectly browned tortilla, hot- fresh ingredients neatly wrapped to enjoy. Very friendly tattooed gentleman working the window and service was quick and accurate. I don't know why this Taco Bell has such low reviews. In the last three months especially, this location has done everything right in their power- outside of some hiccups with item availability which could or could not be in their control as a store. Abysmally Slow. 50 Min Wait. I called and they only have 2 employees working at busy store. Absolutely horrendous upper management, close the store if you can't provide services. Or put a sign up idk. Extremely disappointed. Good food though. read more

Haven't been here in a while but the dining room is clean and good music playing. Food was hot, fresh lettuce and tomatoes and was actually better than anticipated for fast food. The service was good, friendly and attentive. read more

I am with a local youth group and we place an order in the morning for 120 tacos to be picked up at 3:20 PM. Upon my arrival I was informed they could not fulfill the order. There was no advanced warning and a really good reason given why. The manager seem like she didn't even care that she was leaving a large group of kids without food. I would not recommend this restaurant if you are placing a large order they do not honor what they say. read more

Got my order wrong and didn't answer the phone when I called to tell them because I don't live in Callahan. Paid extra and it still wasn't right. I was the only one in the line and still had to wait. I couldn't eat my food because I don't eat beef. read more

Went there with friends for lunch and they told us if we let anyone in we we're getting kicked out since we got there the worker had a attitude we let one of the workers in she was sitting outside in the rain for 5 minutes so finally we let her in then the worker proceeded to yell at us and tell us to get out we we're getting our trash and she kept yelling for us to get out we still had not gotten one of our drinks so we we're asking for it they were completely ignoring us finally we got our drink and she was still yelling I've always had great reviews about this place but will not be going back horrible customer service and we didn't even get to finish our food read more

Absouletly horrible. Waited 20 mins for a taco that been sitting so long before they served it to me that it completely fell apart before I could take a bite. Bottom fell into my lap. Crunch wrap was reheated a little to warm the outside. Everything on the inside was completely cold. Had to pay for extra cheese sauce for both cups to have less than half of it full. Also please get a new night time person working your window. She is completely rude, barely gave me time to ask for mild sauce before shoving the bag at me. Food isn't half bad but they are as slow as molasses... no joke. As soon as I pulled up to the speaker to place my order, I was told to wait and they would be right with me, no problem, I understand. I waited around 15 minutes for the worker just to say that they were out of beef. Most of what Taco Bell sells has beef. When asked, the worker, she said the customers in the lobby get served first. I'm sure I was in line before some of the folks in the lobby. Instead of making me wait so long, the worker should have been considerate enough to say they were low on beef and it would not be available to folks in the drive-thru. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Once you actually get your food, it's not that bad. But you're going to be waiting for AT LEAST 25 minutes in the drive thru and/or inside. It is most definitely not quick, so if you're in a hurry, go somewhere else. This slow service happens 9 times out of 10. Extremely, extremely slow. They always seem under staffed. read more

Dirtiest Taco Bell I've ever seen. Every table is dirty. Every single table. Service is slow. Waiting at the register for over 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. This Taco Bell gets a pretty bad rap around Nassau County and it's probably for a good reason. You're often sitting & waiting for awhile, sometimes up to 20 minutes in line, food portions are often inadequate and the hours on apple maps & their window don't match up. I waited at the drive thru for five minutes, drove up to the window and the workers didn't have the decency to say in the headset or open the window and say they're closed. Maps says they're open till 3:00, the window says 1:00, which is confusing and frustrating. Over all, I avoid this Taco Bell when I can. read more

Whoa-hold your horses or rather your stomachs. Pass on by. First, this business is listed under the old Wendy's address so it is confusing when trying to locate it to write a review. It took some searching and no wonder our Map Quest kept getting messed up. It has been here for awhile under the Taco Bell signage, apparently they took over where Wendy's was. However there has been enough time for the floor between the stall we sat at to have stuck things to it and it looked like it was topped with black bean yuck. Service was friendly and ice tea unsweetened was great. But if you looked at the prep floor behind the front counter it was mess.Don't they have a broom? business was so slow they could have cleaned up. I ordered the power chicken bowl and my husband had the same, but in a burrito form. Maybe I should have had his order! The chicken was in teeny tiny pieces the size of my little fingernail. The black beans were cold and there was enough sour cream and their style of guac to increase the calories to the 500 mark. I used three packets of the hottest hot sauce to get some flavor. The rice was ok after all that. Though I was starving I could not finish it because of the sour cream and guac.making it seem like a mush bowl. You are also paying for lots of lettuce in the power bowl. Wonder why it is called that? Could it be because their power in dupping their customers to spend their money on this? I use to love Taco Bell, but we agreed that this is the last time we will be going to one. read more
