Stopped by today to get the new Chicken nuggets. I ordered 5 with the bell sauce for $3.99. I also ordered the 3 cheese chicken flatbread melt which I love. I miss the chipotle burrito which they discontinued a while back. They need to bring these back. I get home and they forget the nugget sauce. Ugh. How can you forget the sauce when they advertise they go perfect together. Luckily I had some yum yum sauce at home that I used. The nuggets were much smaller than advertised and were not bad. Was given a coupon for a free taco. The coupon says ANY free taco which i'd assume means anything in a taco shell? I tried to get a cheesy gordita crunch which i understand isn't the cheapest on the menu but again ANY taco free. The two employees upfront were no help. Something else to add a couple weeks ago came in and used the same type of coupon on a cheesy gordita crunch. Would've been nice to at least keep the coupon but that wasn't given back either. This location is absolute TRASH! As someone who cleans the entire sewer system for the plaza, this Taco Bell's lobby's is supposed to open at 7am, I was standing outside the door at 7:10am looking at a lady working behind the register refusing to unlock the door so I could use the toilet as I was having a stomach emergency. Late Monday, Early Tuesday makers give very small portions. My soft Taco had no cheese and barely had any lettuce. Nacho fries the container of cheese was less than half full. Our first choice for food in shopping center wasn't serving sandwiches so we went here. Its decent when hungry and got 2 tacos and green sauce burrito. When order on the kiosk they ask how many packets of hot sauce and charge you 25 cents for each green hot sauce packet. Tacos were nicely filled to top of shell and fulfilled our hunger pains. Super cool they revamped this into a Live Más cafe, there were a lot of drinks available that you can't get in a normal taco bell. The decorations/paint inside looks really nice as well. We ordered 6 drinks on the kiosks and they came out pretty quickly and were all good. read more

As soon as I get there, I see one of the staff accidentally give my order to the wrong person. When I notified the staff, they said that they made the order "too early" so they had to give my order away. I spoke with other staff but not a single one apologized. Terrible service and management. I appreciated that we pulled up and the ma at the window was very courteous and out order was taken well. We ordered for our car full of teens: 2 5-layer burritos, 2 regular crunchy tacos, and 1 chicken quesadilla. Tip: Chicken quesadilla comes with a green chili sauce on it, but that's not on the menu. If you're ordering for someone who does not tolerate hot spice well, ask for it without the spicy sauce. Food was ready quickly. My first issue came because of the app. I kept getting an error message. I goodled it found a couple of possible remedies. One was it restart my phone . No luck. I went inside where I was ignored by several employees one I believed to be the manager who was standing there holding the wall up. I was noticed by a helpful young man who seemed to have an idea as to a fix, but the manager saw what was going on and came over to investigate. She said that's an app issue we can't do anything about it. I lived long enough to discover that if you work on something you usually find a way to solve the challenge. I took it that she meant she was unwilling to find a solution. I asked her " Do you want me to go to Burger King?" She ignored my question and I walked out and wrote this review. I'm writing this review in hopes someone from corporate would do an investigation, and possibly train this woman to do a better job with customer service. I hate giving a one star review. I hate even more to give a two star review and being accused of being too generous with my stars. Today I did a mobile order and saw a new item which was the yellow bird nacho fries, which was $4.99. When I I opened the item, I was very disappointed. Although it was good, it's definitely not worth five dollars to begin with. It should've been at least half the price. Definitely not buying this again. When did Taco Bell (TB) food items start tasting like the Mexican ingredients the food is made with? I really, really, REAAAAAAAAALLY hope this wasn't a fluke, but the TB in Terra Nova Plaza hit it OUT of the park (bottom of the 9th, bases loaded, grand slam, and everything!) on the evening of January 16, 2025. We pull up to the drive through and ordered a $7 Luxe Cravings Box with some Fire sauce. We pay and a few moments later, we are given our drink and Luxe box. We park nearby (so that the TB associates can't see us eating), and we open the box. Inside the box, we find the neatly stacked chips and cheese dip, double stacked taco, chicken chalupa supreme, and beefy 5-layer burrito. We started with the chips and cheese, and the chips were warm, toasty, crispy, salty, and the cheese sauce was nice and warm - great start. Here's where things took a turn. The double stacked taco was fantastic - the tortilla shell was warm and crispy (it's usually a little stale and tough to bite into, but this had a nice crunch and it was surprisingly warm), it had a great amount of filling (which was nice and warm), the lettuce tasted fresh, and the presentation was pleasing to the eye - it didn't look like it had been frantically thrown together. We then had the chalupa, and the chicken? ACTUALLY TASTED LIKE CHICKEN! It didn't taste like a meat product or a cube of something that resembles chicken and has a memory of chicken. NO! It was actual juicy chicken! We finished up with the beefy 5-layer burrito and let me tell you - the tortilla felt nice and fluffy - it was warm to touch. But the star were definitely the beans. "Why the beans?" you ask.... well.... THE BEANS ACTUALLY TASTED LIKE BEANS!! I think this was the first time in all my 20-something years of eating TB that beans actually taste like beans. There's times when I order whole beans and those don't even taste like beans. I know I gave y'all 5 stars, but if I could give you more, I would. I thought the best TB in all of SD was the one on Carmel Valley Rd, but you guys have de-throned them! To the manager running the place? Congrats on running a tight ship. I am a frequent Taco Bell visitor! I love the grilled cheese burrito box and the cinnamon twists! My experience is usually great but tonight not so much. Waited in line for about 10 minutes which is understandable. Once I received my order I realized my chips and cheese were missing. Okay no big deal I'll just go inside to let them know...inside was closed, tried calling the number no one answered. Had to drive back into the drive through to notify them...waited another 5-7 minutes. Advised the gentleman he said no problem we will take care of you. I put in a mobile order that's how long it took to even get to window. Once I was at the ordering area she told me to hold on . That "bit" was 5 minutes. Only one car ahead of me at this point before picking up. Today was not a good day for this location. They were out of a good portion of drinks selections. If you wanted Pepsi or Coffee you were fine. But nothing else was available. Then my order was delivered incorrectly. The service drive thru seemed stressed and at the window I saw the confusion first hand. Originally I was given the wrong order. Good thing I checked. My bag seemed light. There were three items individually wrapped that may have been soft tacos. At least by my handling of the food. The window operator asked me if I ordered a drink. I had not because my selection was not available. Next when I informed the operator that I had the wrong order in hand (actually out of the bag and in my hand) she looked confused even more. A second then a third operator jumped into the mix. They took the food away from me, placed the items back into the bag. Made me wonder if they were still going to deliver to the car behind me. There was talk off the window and around the corner into the chicken before my whole order was packaged. Bags on the counter were tossed as they aligned the orders and finally my items were married into one bag and delivered to me. This is important because upon opening my taco is was a crumbled/split mess (picture). Second, my cheesy bean burrito was squished and oozing out onto the wrapper. I had to stop at a convenience store for a beverage as I can not drink caffeine. I was put-off enough to write this review. I hope this was a one-off and not a sign of poor management. Bernard J. better known as Jay! You sir are freaking awesome! I never gave a place a high review just because of one person until now. He is the night manager I believe & works at night. His energy & customer service is the best I've ever seen in fast food ever! This man is the perfect example of what a leader/manager should be. All the reviews you read about him here is true, the man is fast, friendly, accurate & makes you feel like you've known him for years & puts you in a good mood. This man is all Good Vibes all the way around. And he looks & sounds like Steve Harvey, true story! I like Taco Bell food, I'm not there biggest fan I prefer real Mexican food but I do like their food & their Mexican pizza & 7 layer burrito & pies. Their good for munchies & this place is pretty clean. This is one of the better Taco Bells around as fresh food comes. But over all the best Taco Bell because of Jay. Without Jay this place gets bout 3 stars but because of Jay they get 4.5 stars from me! Then followed what I felt like was a nonchalant order follow up asked for 2 soft tacos supreme and one number one. Pulled up to the window only to be greeted now physically by Chris .. only for him to state very rudely how he was busy with costumers in the store and I shouldn't be yelling at him I shocked for a sec said I completely understand your busy and he continues with I state that I had yelled at him. (Instigating) As someone who's worked first hand costumer service for over 20 years I assure you that was far from the case. After much instigation and being antagonized by Chris I did loose my mind and stated he was being an fing aHole because he was absolutely acting toward me as such. He brought His manager over. And I'm so glad she was there. I did own up to my poor judgment and as I was trying to explain Chris wouldn't stop. So after all that fiasco was said and done. No way I felt comfortable buying food from this location and I doubt I'd drive up any more. It's unfortunate that my night was ruined after working a 12 hr shift . My only comfort tonight was supposed to be my 2 soft tacos. Chris is a full size man. My friend and I went to the Padre game, it was late and we were hungry. Couldn't agree on anything other than Taco Bell, so we pulled into the drive-thru, unsure of what we wanted to order. It was after midnight and from my experiences with late night drive-thru runs, people don't have much patience for people's shenanigans, but Sara did!! She had the time. Lol She answered all of our questions we had, had no problem changing our order numerous times because we were so unsure (we've been to Taco Bell 1,000x and still didn't know what we wanted), never once got an attitude or frustrated and we appreciated it so much. I asked her was there another $5 box other than the naked chicken chalupa and she said "I'm sorry, but no that's the only one". I visit this Taco Bell frequently and I am always happy with the way the employees are courteous, efficient and friendly. I had ordered quite a bit 3 different combos. They got them all correct. Everyone was happy with the flavor and the temperature of the food. I just had one request. I did not want the large drinks we end up throwing half of it away. The only drinks they offer in a smaller size with the combos are coffee, orange juice, water and a couple of others. Not to compare but at Jack in the Box they will allow you to downsize. It wasn't really about the price I just dont want to drink that much soda Wish Taco Bell would give this option. read more

I had never eaten in Taco Bell until tonight. When I was looking some place to eat my favorite Mexican food quesadilla steak, I found this place on google maps. I paid about $12 for two very small half bread, no salsa (I was given ketchup instead of salsa), no sour cream, no avocado, no nothing!!! The guy told me I should order all those one by one!!!!!!!
