You have to try this place! It's one of my family's favorite seafood spots. I've had the pulpo tostada and taco multiple times and they're always amazing, super fresh and never overcooked. I usually get the macho sauce on the side so I can spice it up to my level lol. My family has also tried the tuna tostada, micheladas, chilaquiles, and even Dino nuggets for the kids, everything has been consistently great every time we go. The service is always on point, the ambiance is nice, and it's in a great central location. We usually stop by Wood Market afterward to grab a few things. Love spending time with mom and sis. I was the one driving, and I got to choose this casual dining spot. We got some chilaquiles! Even though we were a bit late for the breakfast menu, they still let us order the Smoked fish, Gobernador, and Pork Belly-quiles. I loved the flavors, and it had just the right amount of spice I prefer. I also had a Mango-rita that snuck up on me in a good way. We each tried all three plates, and all agreed they were sumptuous. Everyone running the restaurant was super friendly and accommodating to special diet needs as well. I'm glad we tried this establishment. It's a good little hole in the wall Marisco spot. Not too big but has a few good tables inside & very clean, customer service is good & speed is ok. Prices are decent considering they in Eastlake. They also have breakfast food in the morning which is cool. Fish taco was good, chiviche was good too, tho portions are not that big, well if you're big back like me these portions might not be big enough. I was a big fan of their Campechana (a cold seafood cocktail) their flavor, one of the better broth tasting ones I've had, has a kick to it too. It's mostly fish "not" batter which makes it standout compared to other fish tacos we've tried. Upon walking inside you'll be greeted with a modern style and very clean restaurant. The staff here have always been awesome and are more than willing to assist you in making a choice. My wife and I have dined here twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. For breakfast we had the chilaquiles and two birria tacos complete with birria broth. The chilaquiles were very good! great flavor all around and a solid amount that is sure to fill you up. The birria tacos however really lacked flavor. The broth was delicious, but the meat in the tacos was very bland which was disappointing. One thing that did stand out here however were the prices. It's quite expensive, but that's to be expected these days with food prices and rent. Even my shrimp ceviche looked old and my husband tried it and it tasted old. It looked more depressed than me. I'm glad I didn't eat it because I probably would have gotten food poisoning. So sad to say how the manager let this leave the store. He should be ashamed of himself. This place always hits the spot anytime Im craving mariscos in the area. I always go for the tacos and tostadas. Today i went in for happy hour and got: 1 fish tacos, 1 ahi tuna tostada, and 5 oysters. I unfortunately ate the taco and tostada before i could remember taking a photo but the food is always so aesthetically pleasing and ties well with the flavors. The fish tacos were absolutely delicious, but the ahi tuna taco was on a whole other level. I can't say enough about how the textures and flavors came together perfectly. It's like we stepped into a literal party in here! There was loud, festive music and a LARGE discoball hanging from the ceiling. There used to be a very delicious taquito restaurant here, but I guess this Mexican seafood joint took its place. Hubby wanted to try this place out, but I wasn't THAT hungry at the time, so I ordered 2 empanadas. Unfortunately, they were out of empanadas, so I ended up ordering two birria tacos with consumè. Hubby had two fish tacos with rice. Later, the server brought our food to the table and told us they ran out of rice? So, she brought out some pasty beans instead. My two birria tacos and consumè were about $15, while hubby's fish tacos were about $4 each. I don't know how much the beans were, but our bill came out to be a little over $30. There was nothing wrong with my birria tacos; in fact, it was quite good and pretty hefty. The consumè was actually very good, not salty at all and so flavorful, but I wish I had gotten the fish taco instead. Had a bite of the hubby's, and it was more tasty, in my opinion. Loved all the veggies, flavor, and the crispyness. Would I come back? I probably would, but I'd skip the birria and try the seafood dishes. It's a seafood place, after all!
