This one is pretty decent in price and customer service. We go here maybe once or twice a month for our usual: cheese roll-ups, quesadillas and my fav.--beefy Fritos burrito. We always use the drive-thru. Yesterday I tried one of the new Cheesy Core burritos. Very disappointing. The "cheesy core" was severely lacking. On top of that, my Fritos burrito wasn't up to par and my son's food was mediocre. The wait time was longer than usual, for some reason. It's also disappointing that they don't carry churros anymore. Where else can you get a decent churro?? Happy hour $1 drinks are cool, though. Overall, I'd give this TB 3.5 stars, 4 for convenience.

Service is friendly and efficient. Orders are made at the counter, or, dare you dare, via QR codes located at the table. Parking is limited, and because it's located between two one-way streets, it can be tricky coming in to or leaving. The Sopes at La Taqueria are a must to try. They're heavily ladened with tasty toppings, and I'd order them again in a heartbeat. The chorizo sope was especially good, and had enough chorizo on it to make two Sopes. Be forewarned that you will not have clean hands after eating them. On another visit I tried the fish tacos. Fish tacos at La Taqueria are the chopped/shredded variety rather than the deep fried filet version. The tortillas themselves were heated well, but were nothing special, nor was the flavor of the fish itself anything remarkable. I expected something more interesting from the place. On the flip side, I also tried a Taco de Tripa, asking for it to be cooked crisp (Tripa in Mexico is pork chitterling, not tripe) and it was very, very (feel free to insert more verys) good, and is definitely a taco I'll try again and again. During our most recent visit, we had the Enchiladas de Pollo en Mole, which brought four enchiladas in a deeply flavored mole with rice and beans. The mole was not sweet like so many other moles in other area restaurants, but was instead relying heavily on the flavors of the chiles. It was very tasty, and a nice change from the usual sweet moles. We also had an excellent Huarache de Lengua, a thick, oval tortilla ladened with beef tongue. I have a feeling my wife will be ordering it each time we return. In addition, we ordered a bowl of the Sopa de Panza y Pata, a soup with a spicy broth and loaded with cow's hooves and tripe. It was a meal in itself, and was also served with rice on the side along with some thick corn gorditas. I was torn between four and five stars here, and if the fish tacos hadn't been such a bust, they'd probably have gotten that fifth star. La Taqueria is definitely in the top tier of local Mexican/Guatemalan restaurants, and will be part of our regular rotation going forward.

Tortillas seemed to be homemade and thick, loved everything! Visiting the area for work so won't be back here but I am glad we stopped by and got to eat here. Try the Pineapple Bowl! They are incredible. The Island Paradis Bowl came with shrimp, chicken, and salmon, which were all cooked perfectly. There is a bit of a wait, but with them taking your name/ number and texting you when it is ready, it makes it super convenient to check out other vendors/food trucks. Can't wait to try the other items such as tacos and other sandwiches.

It's a curse because everything is so effing delicious and it's so far from my home! One of my daughters recommended Taco Empreso as she is a regular customer. She even spotted my nephew eating here one evening, who came all the way from Brooklyn lol. So there were three of us, who ordered an assortment of items to share. Let's start with the tacos... We ordered the Baja shrimp, Baja fish, steak, birria, asado chicken and shrimp Ensenada. Every single taco was finger licking with distinct flavors that were sooo sooo good. I could not decide on a favorite. We also shared birria fries, which were AWESOME! If I ever return... you know the rest lol. The meat was juicy, flavorful and melted in my mouth. The marinaded chicken and beef were succulent and the flavors subtly stood out. We also ordered a steak burrito, which was Cali-style with fries instead of rice. The steak was flavored, tender, and crave-able. A popular must have! We added a birria quesadilla, which was also epic. Lastly, the frozen pina coladas! Get it! The food is road trip worthy! Finally, there was a consistent line, but these dudes were so organized. The orders were getting out in a timely manner. It's also worth the wait!!!

I got the coconut lemonade and it's the best of both worlds of lemonade with pina colada vibe. My friend got the tropical fizz which was flavorful as well. For tacos we got birria, butter chicken, asada, grilled chicken, and Nashville hot chicken, and el pastor. Think the ones we enjoyed the most collectively was butter chicken, grilled chicken and asada. The sauces have a spice level to them which elevate the tacos. Guac and chips were okay a tad bland for me. The esquite corn was yummy side. It's self service where you order tacos either at register or from screen. When your name is called you pick up the food. The tables are limited. I would definitely go back to try some different tacos and for those delicious mocktails.
