I always enjoy the table flowers.

I am having a grilled chicken meal with Coke Zero and their fries. Delivered to my table fresh and hot. It is a quiet lunch in Flemington. The driving window lines are busy. The meal was delicious. I like the relaxed atmosphere here. Well, perhaps since the Playland is closed, Moms take their kids elsewhere!

This order was placed through the app, which was flawless. It was user-friendly and very detailed. The food was ready upon arriving to the establishment. I ordered 4 chicken strips ($5.75), medium waffle fries ($2.09), and a spicy deluxe sandwich with pepper jack cheese ($5.09) and a bunch of chick-fil-a-sauce. The chicken strips were smaller than I thought, but they were fried with all white meat. The waffle fries were decent, not too crispy though. They went well with the sauce. The sandwich was the highlight here. It came with a spicy chicken breast, lettuce, tomatoes, pickle chips, and pepper jack cheese. The chicken breast had a slight kick to it. It was even better with the addition of the sauce. Will I go back? Definitely.

I got the wrong damned chicken sandwich cause they take order before you get to the menu.

I am giving up Chick-fil-A until they open up the dining room. Yes, their chicken is consistently wonderful but I've had enough. On my recent trip to Chick-fil-A their were four order takers working the two lines and they met you before you passed the menu board. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich meal but I thought I was ordering the spicy chicken deluxe sandwich meal. The deluxe comes with lettuce tomato and pepperjack cheese. The one I got comes with one pickle slice. More importantly the deluxe comes in a box and you can dump your fries in the lid for efficient in car dining. The one I got came in a freekin bag with no place for the fries. The dumb as a stump governor of NJ has allowed restaurants to open at 50% capacity and believe me that I have seen places operating at well above that level. What the hell is taking Chick-fil-A so long to open the dining room. You won't see me back there until they are completely open.

Chicken is great. Not sure who is making the salads though. Tried to find manager email on website with no success. Please fix the salad quantities. I paid for the bigger salad and it's the size of a side salad.

Holy Cow that is a good chicken sandwich. Just wolfed down a Spicy Deluxe... A crispy fried cutlet with jack cheese and fresh green lettuce and to slices of tomato... this puppy was made to order! The tomato was still cold! When I ordered the cashier saw right thru me "first time here?" And greeted me with a handshake and a welcome MR. AJ!? Where the hell am I? Not NJ!!! They hooked me up with "chick Fil-A sauce" which is a masterpiece of fast food wizardry!!! BBQ that meets mayo somewhere it got impregnated by mustard... IDK.. the stuff is great on fries... yea the fries... WAY TOO SALTY. So if you were thinking about going into the chicken sandwich business.. don't! This place is a tough act to follow.

Grilled chicken is the only thing to eat here. Everything fried chicken has MSG in it and there's so much in it.

Or a buffet that no longer buffets. But pizza is a big part of their menu and a lot of people order it. I can tell you, from sight alone... I wouldn't call it pizza. It's cheese, toppings, and an extremely flat crust that I can only imagine crunches to smithereens. So I went very much with not pizza. Fortunately, the menu goes many other directions. I got a hot chicken sandwich with Cajun fries, basically regular fries with a little seasoning sprinkled on (not baked in). Took a little while to get to us, but once it did, I was impressed with the spice level. This is not for the faint of tongue. The fries were perfectly cooked, but I would say just get plain fries if that's your vibe. I could have upgraded to onion rings or similar, wasn't feeling quite hungry enough for that venture. Verdict: I don't know. It's not a diner. It's not a pizzeria. Definitely seemed kid-friendly. I think my date liked this place more than I did. So again, I'll go with the balance and stick 4 stars on the wall. Could return, not sure what else in Flemington might attract (seems fairly restaurant-barren).

Food and service are outstanding. The selection is fantastic as well. My only reason for giving 4…read morestars rather than 5 is because of the pricing. Basil Bandwagon is overpriced for their deli and many of the items they carry. At the same time it is very good quality stuff, just pricing is my only "complaint" so to say. I realize this is a very wealthy area, and Basil Bandwagon does put out some coupons here and there which is appreciated. It is certainly more of A $$$ store than $$ in which I think they would still be profitable, yet a bit more fair. In any circumstance if you're looking for good quality, very healthy stuff it is a great spot to try out. Also the portions on most things at the deli counter are very nice with their sandwiches. Staff is also very helpful & knowledgeable.

I learned that Basil Bandwagon has been open for 25 years. The year they opened, I was eating cold Pop Tarts while running to catch the school bus at 6:55am. In those days, fat-free was all the rage and considered "healthy" -- never mind all the refined carbs, loads of sugar, and preservatives. These days, I'm a strict vegetarian who is mostly vegan. I cook a lot and eat fresh produce daily. I appreciate that BB offers a healthy alternative to basically all the crap fast food otherwise available in the area. We ordered a wrap from the cafe and decided to eat it there. The seating was a counter with a few bar stools but it was clean if not spacious. My husband and I shared the "Freebird" wrap -- tofu-based mock chicken, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, and vegan mayo. It came with potato chips. Wow, this was so good! Clean tasting, hearty, and delicious. I was so impressed with it that we grabbed a prepackaged wrap from the cold case to take on the plane with us. We also picked up a few other vegan sandwiches which were okay tasting but overall too dense and heavy. Next time, I'll stick with the housemade items. I do find it a little annoying that BB doesn't seem to carry as many vegan items as they do things that are "paleo" and gluten-free. I also find that some of their food items are so outrageously overpriced that you'd be better off hunting around at the local grocery stores instead of purchasing them here. The next time I'm in town, I'll be there to order another yummy item from the cafe. Thanks Basil Bandwagon for catering to us "healthy" folks looking for something tasty and satisfying to fill our bellies.

The restaurant is tucked behind a Walgreen's and proximate to an urgent care on a side street off Rt 31, so that might explain it. We arrived for dinner on a random Thursday. The dining room is large, clean, bright, and had a lot of empty tables, but few patrons. They have a take-out business and it was sort of rainy outside, so that explained it in my head. The server came right away and took our beverage orders (it's a BYOB and I still can't get used to that concept). We ordered our meals after our drinks arrived. I like to keep it simple on a first visit. If you've seen my other reviews, it sorta makes sense. I got the linguine, with mushroom sauce and meatballs. It gives me a chance to see if the pasta is boxed or not, how fresh the ingredients are, the taste of the sauce, and if they can make a decent meatball. The linguine was made in the kitchen from scratch and the mushroom marinara was delicious. The meatballs are amongst the best I've had in the area, including two NYC Little Italys (Manhattan and Bronx). The salad was fresh and crisp and the bread came out warm and delicious. It's a bit of a drive from Clinton, but I am going to try their pizza at my next takeout opportunity.

The inside is quaint, with brick and stucco walls. My wife ordered the penne with broccoli. I ordered the linguini alla vongole (linguini with clams) in white wine sauce. Both entrees came with soup or salad. We both chose salad. They also brought some warm bread to the table with oil for dipping, though the bread did seem a little dry. I prefer my bread to be a bit more stretchy/chewy. We both enjoyed our meals. They were a good portion size, with nothing left to bring home. For dessert, I chose the affogato (special), my wife went with the fudge cake, and both of us had cappuccino. It is a BYOB but there is a liquor store next door if you want a bottle (or two) of wine.
