Really good burgers . Quality meat and produce used . The employees at this location are quick and efficient and always are accommodating to special request . The French fries are excellent and abundant regardless of whatever size you order . I do also love they have the Coke freestyle fountain to make whatever concoction I want . I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with BBQ sauce, mayonnaise, ketchup, lettuce, onions, pickles, and tomatoes ($10.19) with little fries ($4.09). All of their burger are 2 patties. The burger as a whole was very good. The beef patties were juicy and flavorful while the bread held all of the toppings that were included. The buns were not soggy. I recently tried Five Guys for the very first time and unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. I didn't love the flavor of the burger or the bun. The regular fries were soggy. However, the seasoned fries were very flavorful but also soggy. We were the only customers there for several minutes and it took a long time to get our food. I wonder if they had a large amount of takeout orders (although I didn't notice a lot of people coming in to pickup)? The staff and service were fine, other than it taking so long. Wow. Haven't been here in a while. Prices are jacked up. We walked in to order, looked at the menu and decided it was way cheaper to eat across the street and at chik fil a. No way would I pay these prices for fried food. Greasy slippery floors and high fat and cholesterol peanut oil fried food. It's well known Healthy food is a better choice. This place keeps going up in price. Almost 20.00 for a burger and fries and that doesn't include a drink. Got there a little after 9 but It looked as if they were closed. Grill was cleaned and off. The food Isn't bad the burgers are pretty good sized, though I keep getting gas from eating the food get this bad gas I don't know if it's the peanut oil that's in it?!?! With so much burger competition around these days, you'd expect to get a great slider for $12. But, in burger world price and quality do not necessarily go hand in hand. Rather than across the board improvement at lower cost, the opposite seems to be true. There are alot of pretenders out there willing to take your money and deliver disappointing product. Five Guys seems to be following this path. When I stopped in their store in Flemington, NJ, recently, everything was clean and spiffy, the workers friendly and chatty, but their burger just not up to snuff, especially at the near $15 with their bag-O-fries and soft drink. Grease is an essential element of a good burger, but this double patty was so slick it overwhelmed the taste of the beef. Too, ordering this with all their standard fixing (lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup and mayo), made for so much lubrication that holding onto the bun firmly resulted in much of the internals extruding from the sides of the sandwich, and a firm bite launched part of the puck out the back door into the basket beneath. From second bite it was just a slippery mess to eat. Even with their cheap plastic forks, it became a pile of deconstructed ugliness, best consumed with fingers and spoon. It was impossible to enjoy, and I lost count of the napkins yanked to keep the leakage off my face and fingers. Maybe this was on me for ordering their "all the way" fixings on top of their regular double grease burger. If so, I've learned a lesson not to accept their marketing suggestions. This is my go to place for burgers. When it comes to burgers 5 guys is the best. I eat low carb and they have no issue with putting the burger in a bowl. I like the toppings but no ketchup. I also get the Grilled jalapeño peppers in the burger. I also enjoy the free peanuts. They are especially good because I do not eat fries. The bottom line is if I want a burger I go to 5 Guys. read more

We first went to this Five Guys last May, ordering the "little" burgers and fries. They were just ok. Prior to this, I had gone to the one in Watchung and loved it. A couple of months later, I decided to try this one again. This time I got a regular (their double) cheeseburger and it was 10x better than before. Very delicious and juicy! Another pleasant surprise was the different varieties of diet Mello Yello in their soda machine. Also, my son loves their grilled cheese. Nice staff, casual atmosphere. Only my second trip a Five Guys....from what I gather you either get it or don't. It's obvious there are waaaay too many friggin hamburger shops on the planet right now. I mean how many ways can you present a Burger and fries??? I hear their shakes are good...although, I have not had one yet. What else is better than going to a burger place on a Tuesday night. Five guys was the ultimate attraction with flashing red and white colors surrounding the inside. The burgers were out of this world with a variety of different size burgers for your mouth to devour. Who could go wrong with two big patties that melted in your mouth. I was even greeted with very delicious peanuts quenching my thirst waiting the for the big meal. That meal did not disappoint. The burger was nice and tender, with a bullion different juices and seasoning flowing through your mouth. The fries were a nice side addition raising a persons sodium to the highest level. As the name suggests, it is a burger place. They focus only on burgers and let you top them with whatever you'd like from a large list of condiments. The "little cheeseburger" is large enough for most (single patty vs. double), it isn't a child size as the name somewhat suggests. The fries are good and extremely plentiful. If you order the smaller fry size, they fill the container then put it in a bag and add another scoop. One of these will feed a family, only get the big size if you want to also feed the table next to you. It can be a little pricey depending on you get. If you order a cheeseburger, large drink, and regular fries you'll be at almost $12. Still, the burger is pretty good, but I actually prefer 25 burgers to this place. One side note, my wife doesn't eat red meat and we figured there would be a veggie burger of some sort available. There is not, but they have what is called a "garden burger" - this is essentially two buns with whatever condiments you want to add. I first tasted Five Guys years ago and quite frankly wasn't that impressed but we were just passing through Flemington and wanted a burger so gave it a try.....so glad we did. This location was spotless and the Owner/operator? at the counter was up,humorous and helpful not to mention quite a multitasker since he was apparently training the lone grill cook while happily taking and dispatching orders. He even advised us that the regular fries were quite large so unless both our double burgers with a mound of toppings weren't enough perhaps we should just order one. A wise choice as the slightly undercooked fries tended to get soggy quickly and the sole reason this location lost one star. I like medium burgers and the reason I tend not to frequent so called chain burger joints but this burger was juicy,beefy and very satisfying even in it done all the way through state. List of toppings are too many to mention but my mushroom,cheese and bacon toppings tasted fresh and crisp so no stale left overs from the night before also digging the "thousand combination" soda machines. I guess what impressed me the most was the initial vibe and competence of the Counterman which set the tone of what turned out to be a very pleasant and satisfying dining experience even if it was only a burger and fries. I've tried this location 2-3 times and one elsewhere. Burgers taste OK, but are very greasy. Some seasoning would be nice. Bun and toppings are meh. Fries are greasy but fairly tasty (and freshly cut). I never fail to get an acne breakout the next day. This place is a half cut above "el rey de las hamburguesas" and McD. I've been here several times (cuz the kids wanna go). I'm usually happy with the burgers. They are fresh, juicy, and flavorful. I'm a minimalist with the toppings, so I actually taste the burger. It's usually good. (Opening week, I got a hockey puck, but I chalk that up to typical opening week problems.) Anyway - so why only 3 stars? The fries! I've heard that they are "boardwalk style".
