First of all, service was excellent. Attentive but not overwhelming. And they took great care of my dog too! Great view, right on the river where we watched tons of recreational boaters entering and leaving Lake Huron. Now, we weren't there to toss axes, but you could if you wanted. We were just there to eat and enjoyed the food. I had a bison burger- juicy and perfectly cooked. My wife enjoyed two tacos (shrimp and brisket) and a blue slushie drink that she said was tasty and fun.

The shrimp was soaking in butter which might appeal to some people but I didn't care for it. My friend got the cod fish and chips and the fish looked a bit overcooked and the fries were waffle fries. He finished his entire meal so I guess he liked it.

The river seems to sit just beyond your table. Freighters float by and it is a site to see. (If you live here you take for granted how cool this is!) often on summer comings you can find live music either at the indoor bar (which has large group high top tables) or out on the deck a band or solo acoustic set! I have images from two different visits in this review. Managed well this restaurant has great food and good service. Been here a number of times and honestly it's usually high class for the region. On this occasion our party of three had cedar planked salmon, red snapper and shrimp, lemon scented salmon with corn salsa and black beans. We also had a wedge salad, seafood bake appetizer and cup of clam chowder. The chowder is a staple and has lots of chunks of potatoes and clams. Wedge salad is good- not in my top 5 but certainly in the top 10. Made right/ great blue cheese dressing! Personally the red snapper and shrimp was lovely. Crusted with Parmesan cheese the red snapper had a nice exterior. I had double veg and appreciated the asparagus. All the food was great the appetizer was awesome. I could have eaten about 10 more shells with that lovely seafood cheese and butter dream. So head on up or down the river and enjoy a nice night! This is situated with a hotel on property. One day I'll eat, drink, stay and update this review! Thanks as always River Crabs!

In as much as Great Lakes perch was unavailable, (they had European perch) my friend and i opted for the walleye. Walleye was prepared either pan or deep fried. We both chose the pan fry option. Instead of sides, we got Manhattan Clam chowder. The chowder was flavorful and thick like it should be. My serving also had a reasonable amount of clams. My only complaint was way too many large potatoes which take up a lot of space and offer very little to the overall dish. Our walleye was very good. Our wives both ordered Buddha Bowls. My wife thought hers was "too mushy" and her meat choice of carnitas had no flavor even after trying sauce and salt. Service was excellent and attentive.

The food went downhill from there. I ordered the fried perch. I got two and a half, yes, a half, filet of perch. When I questioned it, the waitress said they weigh the fish and two and a half fillets were 4 oz. The fillets were only 2 inches Long! There is no way that two and a half fillets was 4 oz. My husband ordered the ribs, they were dry and chewy. My friend ordered the smashburger which was severely overcooked. Her husband ordered the chicken kabobs. They were the best food we received that day, but the taziki sauce was just tartar sauce. The atmosphere and view are awesome. So maybe consider going there for drinks and appetizers. Seems like the food is hit or miss. Ours was definitely a miss.
