Don't bother coming here, unless you have a half hour to kill! I'll start off by saying the food was good, typical of Taco Bell! That's the only positive about this particular location. I waited in the drive thru line for 29 minutes! 14 minutes to get to the order screen, another 10 minutes to get to the window, and a final 5 minutes to actually receive my food! Pathetic! I'm not sure what the problem is, it would seem this is a typical issue (a 30ish minute wait in line) at this location, based on my past three experiences and other review's. Each time I've tried this Taco Bell have been at different times of the day. The drive thru staff (usually a teenage girl) are always friendly, I will give their public face an A+! Although the last time I was there, I heard the drive thru girl arguing with another employee in the background over a matter that seemed rather trivial, so there was that lol They're recent remodel doesn't seem to have made any difference at all in the speed in which they keep the drive thru line moving. It is an agonizing crawl on a good day. I realize this is fast food and that I can't be TOO critical, but 29 minutes makes them calling their restaurant a "fast food" joint a case of false advertising! The district manager REALLY needs to deal with this! (Sir, if you're reading this, go "undercover boss" style and go through the drive thru when their busy! You'll see. Went through the drove through. Only 3 cars in front of me and one behind, definitely not a busy night. 6 items is all I ordered. The employee at the window even said "6 items for you". Bag had a sticker "sealed for you". Back at my hotel only 4 items in the bag. Manager offered nothing other than to remake the missing items. Told said manager that a refund and remake was appropriate. Supposedly they are trained to not do that. Got the refund $6.98 and the food. Back at the hotel, 3.5 miles away, food was cold. Ok, so I wrote a review on Google, but this place is so incredibly awful, that I feel I have to write one on here too, so I can hopefully save others the hell I've been through here. The wait for food is beyond ridiculously long - you could order and receive a souffle from a fine dining restaurant faster than you can a frickin' taco here. The food itself is on par with Taco Bell quality; however, most of us go to fast food because that's what it is supposed to be - delivered fast! I have been stuck in the drive thru line for over 45 minutes, and once you are in the drive thru, there is NO escape. Don't even bother complaining to the manager - he simply doesn't care, and quite honestly is very rude - he wouldn't even talk to me about it. I went inside to return things so I wouldn't hold up the line at the drive thru, and the counter clerk told me that the manager won't hire more help, and that they get hundreds of dollars of food returned daily for the wait times. Clearly I'm not the only one - look at the other reviews on wait times as well. McMinnville is not a large city, and there's no reason for these wait times at a fast food place. TSA lines at the airport move quicker, and I don't think anyone is getting strip searched at this Taco Bell. Seriously - is anyone at Taco Bell corporate or the franchise owner of this store reading these? You gave your building a facelift, but you seriously need to give your management the heave ho facelift as well. read more

I am going to preface this review by saying that I absolutely LOVE Taco Bell. Always have. Being from Newberg, I remember going to the Lake Oswego location as a kid before the Newberg location was built. This was my go to for fast food whenever I was hungry. Taco Bell was always my jam... Until I moved to McMinnville. Reasons to go to the McMinnville Taco Bell: 1. You love waiting 20-30+ minutes in a drive-thru. 2. You prefer your food to be cold. 3. Nothing excites you more than sloppily made burritos/quesadillas. 4. You don't mind paying extra for red sauce on your burrito, only to find NO red sauce on your burrito. 5. Traditional Mountain Dew is not appealing to your taste buds, you would much rather drink pure carbonated water with a small splash of syrup. 6. Taco sauce (mild or hot) is only a suggestion and not a staple to your quasi-mexican meal, because they are often completely out of packets. 7. The drive-thru line that you can never escape from once you have committed. 8. "I'm sorry but we are actually out of that right now" 9. Clean commercial kitchens are not necessary, it's the quality of the food that matters. 10. The quality of the food doesn't matter. Like many other of my fellow members of the McMinnville community, hope was on the horizon. Taco Bell shut down for a massive overhaul. New look on the interior and exterior, new staff and what many of us believed would be a fresh start to a location that had left a bad taste in our mouths more than once. My God, were we wrong. My first experience the week of re-opening; there was a sizable line which I chalked up to everyone in town being excited for a mediocre burrito. I pulled into the parking lot and made my way back to the drive-thru entrance. I was greeted by a small yellow "Caution: Wet Floor" sign with a white piece of paper taped to it which read something to the effect of "Expect 30-35 minute wait due to short staff". I opted to go elsewhere. Attempt number two, my wife and I pull in to the drive-thru at around 11pm. We were at a decent spot in line. 2 cars back from the ordering menu. "Awesome this should be quick" I thought to myself, foolishly. 25 MINUTES we sat in the exact same spot, not moving so much as an inch. Once we finally placed our order we waited another 15 until we finally got our food. That's right folks, 40 minutes in the drive thru for 2 quesadillas and a bean burrito with extra red sauce. We arrived at home to eat not 5 minutes later. At this point you're wondering, "well how was it?!" Was your faith in the Mcminnville Taco Bell restored?" 2 cold, sloppy quesadillas and no red sauce on my burrito. Bollocks. This brings us to today. Round three. Can they redeem themselves? Nope. Our quesadillas were completely burnt, on top of being all sauce and almost no cheese. My Burrito again had no red sauce on it after paying for extra. My kids' hash browns were saltier than that lake in Utah. It is safe to say that I have officially given up. As other reviews have said, this is the absolute slowest, dirtiest, most disappointing and mismanaged Taco Bell location I have ever been to. Now re-opened and sadly the worst I have experienced. Be prepared to wait. If you are absolutely set on having your Taco Bell, order online. Seriously, ORDER ONLINE and then pick it up. That appears to be what the biggest downfall for this location now is (and possibly others). WAIT TIME: From time of order on my receipt until I actually got my food was exactly 29:52 minutes. I ordered the basic stuff with nothing special - bean burritos, crunchy tacos, and a Nachos Bell Grande. What I realized is that everyone in the building was waiting for their order to go. No one was dining in because they all received bags. INTERIOR LAYOUT/DINING AREA: There was not really a place to sit or even wait for your order. I have been to this Taco Bell since 1995. There have been two different buildings at this site in the 21 years and the latest remodel may not have helped but give it a fresher facade and interior. People coming in had to ask just as I did, "Are you in line?" because they opted to get rid of the railing they once had for the ordering line. The problem is that space didn't go to more room for dining. I tried to observe the layout and compare the seating arrangement to what it use to be. They added a round high table with tall chairs to sit around for an attempt to be hip or trendy, however all this item does is take away from valuable seating they once had. The condiments island is laughably smaller and in my opinion a poor design and location. Hey the best thing about the remodel is soda fountain is newer... possibly a few more beverage options. PARKING LOT/DRIVE THRU: The parking is OK, but the drive thru is your typical tire scraping, too tight, poor design that should have been changed during the remodel. SERVICE: The people working were very friendly and spoke clearly and were attentive. A+ for service with a smile. (Before the remodel, I recall staff making efforts to go around the dining area and refilling customers drinks and taking any trash they were definitely done with.) FOOD: Today's meal was OK, however I do feel the quantity and consistency was way off this particular visit. We had 5 bean burritos among our family and not all measured up the same in size. Go figure I got wimpy burrito! It tasted like Taco Bell tastes but I am not sure if I should be expecting much regarding where I am at. I never have reviewed Taco Bell but this called for something. By the way, THE VERY BEST CRUNCHY TACO (from Taco Bell) I ever had was at the Newberg. Coldest lettuce and cheese, crunchiest shell, and hottest ground beef I have ever experienced from a Taco Bell to date. I have no idea, how... but I can't seem to forget it. True story. So just order online - that is what I am gonna do from now on if I have to get my fix. read more

Taco Bell already rates pretty low in my estimation for a restaurant and this one takes it to even further depths. Having worked at one way back in the day, I know how they should run, how clean they should be, and how long it takes to make the food. And this one fails badly on all three counts. I once timed how long I sat in the drive thru after ordering. I waited no less than 46 minutes to get the food which wasn't even for me. I didn't see any massive orders handed out and the inside wasn't busy. Would have backed out if I wasn't blocked in by other cars. Doesn't matter the time, day or night, you count on at least a 15 to 20 minute wait whether you use the drive through or walk in, it's equally poor service, either way. This is the absolute worst Taco Bell ever. I go to Taco Bell probably 3-4 times a week and always have exceptional service and good quality fast food. I pulled up to the drive thru and asked for a smothered burrito. They don't make smothered burritos but they make something similar and I wasn't sure of the name. When I asked for a smothered burrito I got the response "no" and nothing else. Literally nothing else. The couple of other times I've attempted to go to this Taco Bell, I've been sitting in the drive thru for 20+ minutes and got sub-par food. I understand it is fast food but it is Taco Bell. I have never found a worst taco bell than this one and trust me that I have been too many. The floors in the kitchen are covered in garbage and grime, they are way understaffed and they are always missing items off the menu. They substitute without asking or telling you (tostadas for fried flour shells on a mexican pizza). Another time I was stuck in that drive through for 40 minutes for a melted freeze and soggy crunchwrap, when I only had 5 cars ahead of me at 2pm on a Saturday. The owner of this place needs to clean it up, pay their employees and have enough of em to handle a few taco orders. It is over the top terrible. I am done with this place. One of the worst Taco Bell's I've ever been to. It seems like they are always training someone new. On my last visit, which prompted me to leave this review, I ordered at the drive through, and it took forever because they were training a new employee. I didn't mind that so much, because everyone has to learn and we've all been in that position. However, I did mind that I got all the way home and realized they messed up the order and even gave me the wrong soda.
