Came in on a Friday night and although they were busy we were seated immediately. We received water, chips, salsa and beans and had our drink order taken within 2 minutes. We only ordered nachos to share on this particular evening. The nachos are big enough for 2-3 people to share. We added grilled chicken on the nachos. The food came out piping hot and pretty quickly. This restaurant has a good size outdoor seating area. Most places in town with such outdoor areas are dog friendly, however I did not want to assume. I called the restaurant and asked if dogs were allowed in outside area- they said yes. We went to have dinner and saw "no dogs" signs. So I frequent this place often since I'm working nearby. Haven't had anything else besides there burritos. Must mean something. Yes there burritos are good but I think the salsa bar is even better. The burritos now have now jumped in price. They are about 12 bucks. Also seem to be getting a little smaller. I travel all over Oregon for work and have been to Mexican restaurants everywhere from Medford and Roseburg in southern Oregon all the way north through Eugene and Portland and this is by far the BEST and most authentic mexican restaurant I have ever been to! Driving by, this place looks like nothing special. However, when you stop by, this place actually has the chillest outdoor seating environment possibly in all of McMinnville. While you might be quick to be seated inside and order from there, I recommend sitting outside (weather permitting, of course) and ordering at the walk-up "food truck window" where I feel like the food tastes so much better and the ladies running it are so friendly and helpful! Prices are fair and portion sizes are good for what you get. I ordered their taco combo which comes with 3 tacos with meat of your choice along with beans and rice. Forgot to review this place that we picked up food from in McMinnnville a couple days back! With the fires ramping up and the smoke getting pretty intolerable, we decided to just pick up food rather than try to dine outside. We got this place from a friend of ours who moved to McMinnville from our hometown so we decided to test it out. I ordered a veggie burrito, by brother ordered the chicken burrito suprema, my mom ordered cheese enchiladas, and my dad ordered a carne asada burrito suprema. We had some specifications and substitutions but the women on the phone got everything down really quickly! We drove to go get it and it was ready right away. One thing to note is when you arrive it seems like they have two areas -- an express takeout and a dine in more sit down area. Don't assume that they only do takeout because of covid because we were surprised to find indoor and outdoor dining here! Once we got home, we were shocked that we didn't receive any cutlery and all our burritos were "wet" style! Since we were staying at a Bed and Breakfast with the kitchen locked up for the night, we had no access to their silverware! We scavenged in the car and found some plastic sets of silverware halfway through eating with our hands, but honestly it is our own fault for not asking. I found my veggie burrito to have way too many mushrooms (should have been named a mushroom burrito!) but the flavors of the sauce and BCR were all fantastic. Everyone was satisfied with their food and we just couldn't get enough of the spicy salsa. Their burritos are large so maybe split one if you are a small eater! Wow! I found my new favorite taco spot! They said they're famous for the intestines so I ordered: 2 tripas (intestines), 2 lengua (tongue), 2 carne Assad and 2 al pastor, and 1 Burria soup. All were good, but the lengua and tripas were the favorites. They have a huge deck with picnic tables for lots of great outdoor dining and the weather was perfect for some soup and tacos! Also, they have tons of grilled onions and peppers for sides with a large salsa bar for all the toppings! So bomb!!!! We were evacuated from home due to fire. Very happy to find this place across the motel parking lot, at least at first. Three of us went to eat, and the place was packed. Food took forever, food wasn't even good, and then the bill came. $48. I added $12 tip (fair, I think). My credit card got hit for $48 and then again for $60. Manager couldn't care less. Kept telling me she'd call me back......never. Turned over to the fraud department at my bank. That's their job. I wouldn't eat here again, or advise anyone else either. Haven't tried anything else, yet! We ordered a few carnitas tacos, some pastor, asada (of course) and cabeza. Boyfriend didn't care for the pastor (with those it's always a hit or miss), but everything else was bangin'. We went back for seconds. I'm a HUGE fan of their carnitas! I'm originally from Arizona and have tasted some really good authentic Mexican food back home. Hard to find a really good Mexican place out here, I must say! So when I came across Tequilla Grill, (recommended by my boyfriend ). He sure was right! I highly recommended it to anyone! It's a must! Me and my boyfriend came out for dinner last night and wow I was very impressed. The food had so much flavor and serve on a hot plate that kept it hot that I couldn't even put my fork down. So tasty! The waitress came back and took our order. Before we know it the food is there and still no margaritas. So they ran to get our margaritas. Wow... so bad. The service: It took forever to get our food and all of our orders came out wrong. Not sure whose fault this was. Our server didn't seem the careless type so perhaps the disconnect was on the kitchen end. The food: They don't seem to know how to make a burrito! It was constructed like a large enchilada. Rice and beans were folded loosely up in a smallish flour tortilla, and then the lot was smothered in a strong, garlicky sauce (causing sogginess), and topped with lettuce, pico de gallo containing an excessive amount of black pepper, and tons of cheddar cheese. The latter was an especially unpleasant surprise (allergies) and warranted my sending it back. The beans were decent but the rice left much to be desired; it was oily and bland and didn't have that distinctly Mexican flavor that I know and love. My dinner companions both got fajitas; they were swimming in oil and didn't appear to come with tortillas. I'm aware that Mexican cuisine varies from region to region- even from state to state- so perhaps I'm just being a spoiled Californian... but damn it... this simply didn't seem like the real stuff. It resembled Mexican food but was a little off, almost as if they've altered it to cater to local tastes. They were generous with the chips and salsa and there was a nice selection: bean dip, spicy red salsa, and a creamy green one (which I steered clear of but nonetheless looked delicious). This may be what saved it from receiving one star. The prices: It was actually affordable. My disaster of a "burrito" only cost $5. Fajitas are $11. Not too bad. Overall, I'd say skip it. read more
