Good Taco Bell experience overall. I was drunk and about to get on the nearby subway when I spotted this TB and decided to grab two burritos before taking the long trip home to Queens. This location was fairly clean and not too busy on a Thursday night. I placed my order via the app, and in no time at all I had two hot burritos with my name on them. I got a cheesy bean and rice with chipotle sauce which came out piping hot, and a beefy-5 layer where I subbed in black beans, which came out correct. Not sure of the bathroom situation here but it did look like there was one way in the back. There were plenty of sauces out for me to take, the soda station also looked clean and maintained. Sometimes you just get a craving for fake Mexican food and Taco Bell calls your name. This location is not too bad, clean enough, and quick with the orders. There's even a bathroom here as it's a must after downing some bean and cheese burritos! read more

This is my go to Taco Bell location. However, sometimes when I go, all the seating has been overtaken by delivery boys who aren't eating. I get that everyone needs a break, but as a paying customer I should also have the option to sit and eat. read more

No bueno. Our poor uber eats driver Ibe waited 2.5 hours for our food and Taco Bell ultimately cancelled the order. Horrible way to start 2025. My expectations of Taco Bell are pretty low, but this location was a nice surprise. I was greeted upon walking in. There are kiosks to place your order and the place is really clean. The order was ready quickly and everyone was friendly. They are playing good music and have handbag holders on their high top table. Having been in some pretty rough Taco Bell's (um the Penn Station one), this almost didn't feel like a Taco Bell, just a nice spot for a quick meal. Thank god for this location. I'm not always in the food to pay $40 for 6 tacos lacking toppings. This place is really clean. Staff clean the tables immediately after a customer leaves the establishment, BUT they don't hover and make you feel uncomfortable. They're friendly. This review is strictly based off of the customer service I received from a really kind employee tonight. To judge Taco Bell on their food is a little bizarre because fast food will always be what it is. However, a bunch of new Taco Bells popped up in the Upper East Side recently, and dealing with them through GrubHub is an absolute nightmare. Each store has different menus, none of the stores have working phone numbers (which I'm sure is not a coincidence...), and you can pretty much count on something from your order either being wrong or missing altogether. I am chronically ill, and after monthly chemo infusions, I find the freeze ice drinks that they sell to be really settling for my stomach. My favorite is the Skittles flavor. Unfortunately, the frozen drinks are always the first thing to go from the delivery orders. Tonight, I decided to take an Uber to the Second Avenue Taco Bell to get a couple of the frozen drinks and the cinnamon twists desserts (which are on the grubhub menu for this location, by the way...). Not surprising, when I arrived, I was told that they didn't sell the cinnamon twists at this location. I decided to leave and to go to try to get them from the Taco Bell on Lexington a couple blocks away (which ended up being a giant mistake, because as my review on their Yelp page reflects, they lock their doors way before closing time and are assholes to their customers). Since they wouldn't let me in at all, I realized that I should have just gotten the frozen drink from this location, and in a moment of regret, I ran back to 2nd Avenue praying they'd still be open. When I got back to this location, it was one minute past closing time, and the door was locked, rightfully so, but the guy behind the counter (Gage - I hope I didn't butcher the spelling of his name!) made eye contact with me immediately and must have sensed that this was a life-and-death situation (lol). He came over to the glass door and asked what I wanted, and when I begged him to let me buy a quick drink, he thought about it for a moment. I don't know if it was the charm of my post-chemo hair or if this guy is really just that nice, but he unlocked the door and let me in. He proceeded to get me the largest Skittles freeze that I've ever seen, while simultaneously having to swat off other customers that were coming into a now unlocked store. This small act of kindness probably seems like nothing to most people and might even seem like a joke to many, but it's little things like this that make the biggest difference in the world. I am a hospital administrator in oncology, and we could use more people like Gage working with our sick patients every day. Being sick can be a real bitch - but encountering the kindness of another human being when I wasn't feeling well really made my night better. Thank you, Gage! read more

I'm ashamed to say I loved their hard shell beef tacos especially the spicy Dorito shell which is like crack. No frills and none of the new age, millennials Mexican w plant meats this is the stuff I grew up with and it was such a nice treat. This is a Taco Bell, so obviously the food is delicious, especially when drunk. The place is always clean and service is very quick. They even have those self service screens you can order from if you hate human interaction for some reason. The employees have always been really nice to me, though, so no need to use those unless it's really busy. Unfortunately they don't have cinnamon twists but I wont hold that against them. This is the delivery I got for a "Mexican pizza." Everything we received was completely put together in a way that was inedible.

Placed an order on Uber eats and instead of canceling it early for whatever reason they waited until 10pm when they closed to cancel it. I waited almost 2 hours with no way to cancel it on my end. Uber eats isn't taking responsibility for this saying it's the restaurants issue. Clearly something is wrong with this place and I refuse to eat at this location ever again and I suggest everyone else do the same! read more

New location of Taco Bell, close to the 86th street subway station on the upper east side. Very clean Taco Bell (in comparison to other locations). Great quick service!! And the staff is very friendly. Plus they have 6-8 people working at peak hours so the service is always quick. read more

Echoing comments from Matthew V. in review below- the delivery truck blocks the entire crosswalk every time they deliver, forcing pedestrians and bicycles directly into traffic. There have been 19 cyclists killed by cars this year in New York City- I sincerely hope this truck isn't responsible for another one. read more

a new taco bell has opened on the upper east side on 2nd ave near 84th st and yes its the mcdonalds of mexican fast food but sometimes its good enough for most folks. its new so place is in the taco bell interior modern mode with plenty of space to sit with a bunch of tables to the side of the front . self service soda machine with over a dozen choices and the condiment table counter is well stocked with sauces , napkins , wrapped plastic utensils , etc . ordering was quick with a easy to see menu board with tacos , burritos, enchalidas, , etc . a bunch of welfare box deals for 6 bucks and a few dessert options that i have never had the pleasure or displeasure of trying . a supreme chicken burrito with no sour cream and one soft shell taco with chicken and medium soda for about 10 bucks is a done deal. the folks working here are nice and friendly all while keeping the place clean and free from the homeless bums who try to occupy most fast food joints in the area .giving 3 stars cause it is what it is and for a taco bell its good enough for me on occasion . read more
