This is the worst Taco Bell when it comes to customer service. There is only 1 constant employee in this facility that is welcoming - Ramon! He greets you when you come in, helps with any ordering issues/fixes orders that the others screw up and in general takes interest in you. He is constantly staying busy. The manager, Maria, and all the other employees do not know the meaning of customer service nor how to read an order and complete it correctly. The manager loves to yell at her employees (not something customers should be hearing). Zero eye contact with most employees - they will put your order on the counter, call your name and walk away. Same as I remember. Fast & friendly drive-through experience. Great coffee imo. Decent breakfast burrito except the cheese maybe, it may be cheezwhiz idk. Giving five stars anyway because I'm getting super nostalgic for San Leandro today (tear emoji). This location isn't my usual Taco Bell spot, but because I was in the area and it was "Steal a Base" taco day, I decided to make a visit. Taco Bell has always been one of my favorite fast food joints, but this year everything has changed since Taco Bell decided to remove ALL potato items off of their menu. That was some hard news to take in especially during a crazy year full of bad news. I went through the drive-thru and asked for 1 order of the "Steal a Base" Dorito Loco taco and another for my family member, but they were unable to come with me. Unfortunately the employee stated they could only give a taco for whoever was present in the car. I get it, but if you really thought about it - we're in tough times, shelter in place is our norm, and not everyone feels comfortable to leave their homes or can't because they're high risk, etc. I feel when restaurants have these promotional deals, they should be a bit more open-minded about our current situation at hand; they're not losing a ton of money. More often than not, these kinds of promos generate more money for them because customers end up buying other menu items along with their free taco. On the other hand, I understand that there are some people who abuse these kinds of promo deals and businesses are wary about accommodating those who have legitimate reasons. All in all, I got my free taco and it was put together fairly nice when I got back to eat it. The exterior design has been updated from what I can tell. What's nice about this location is that it's just down the Marina exit off of 880. read more

First of all when I pulled into the parking lot I noticed a man had his dog on the table. I should've turned around right then and there but I really wanted a Baja blast freeze and Mexican pizza. I walk in and there's a sign saying their freeze machine wasn't working, great. Husband and I stopped here for a bathroom break during a long drive, but it was also dinner time so we bought some burritos too. This Taco Bell looks pretty new, with modern furniture, attractive interior and clean, open space. The staff was friendly and our order was accurate and fast. Restrooms were clean and stocked. Finally, this location was very easy to get to from the freeway and it wasn't too hard to get back on the road again after. This was a pleasant and much needed break. This is officially the worst Taco Bell ever. I've been eating TB my whole life and this place is beyond horrible. I usually go the the one on Doolittle but they closed it and left this place open. To the idiots making "tacos" there: There are tons of Taco Bells everywhere. Here's what's probably going on there: They're making tacos with half the amount they're supposed to be putting in them; at the end of the day the record shows they sold X amount of tacos; but they still end up with a surplus of ingredients in the store; So when thru run their labor & food costs they show a false profit and false food cost savings. Making the store look like it's doing better financially than what they should be.
