As for the drive-thru, it'd been over a year since I'd partaken and I seemed to have lost my instincts. It was funny to pull up to the menu and hear "Hi, how are doing tonight?", answer "Doing alright, thanks!", and then sit there for a minute and a half before it occurred to me that perhaps times have changed in the fast food industry and employees are no longer required to issue the old prompt, "Welcome to xxx, can I take your order?" This is one of the best Taco bell I have been to in a while. I was on a journey back home that's about 400 miles and had to stop to check on the car and had their burritos and I must say they were amazing. I've been to many different taco bells in my life. Both good and bad. Soggy and crunchy. I must say this places burritos were on point. I ordered the XXL grilled stuffed chicken burrito and the cheesy bean and rice burrito. The tortillas were in the ideal crunchy and chewy state. The rice inside were not to soggy or and had flavor beyond what other taco bells had failed to achieve. I had hot cheetos from earlier that I put into the burrito as well that made the experience next to perfection for the taco bell life. 12/10 best 10 bucks Ive ever spent on a taco bell. read more

I needed to make a quick put stop on my way from the Bay Area to Bakersfield and decided to stop at Taco Bell. The ladies room was clean, always a good thing. They don't have a mirror in there, which is odd. I was surprised and happy to see that they post their calories per items. It actually did make me change my order to the bean burrito, 200 calories lighter than the crunch wrap (I needed something easy to eat in the car). It was your regular Taco Bell burrito. Nothing spectacular about it. For fast food, it hit the spot. The cashier was friendly and my to go burrito was ready before I had a chance to fill my drunk and grab some napkins. Having had to take an RV and pick up my children in WA state, we stopped here hungry on the way back to CA. On my way up, I've noticed mostly all restaurants have transitioned to cater customers via pickup and/or delivery. This is the FIRST encounter on my way to and back from San Diego to WA in which my children and I were refused service flat-out. We were not allowed into the establishment to place our orders, which I understood. But I was also denied from WALKING through the drive-thru, in order to feed my daughters. The next stop is miles away, and the very large woman that was able to meet us at the door to refuse service, but was unable to take our order over intercom, had NO problem making the exception and taking a verbal order to fulfill via drive thru window--of a patron that came after us. I am highly upset, as I feel this was discrimination based on the fact that we are considered Asian and the patron that was made exception, spoke Spanish to the worker that refused us service. It is a shame that during this time of crisis that we are all experiencing worldwide, the actions of one, small franchise of a national establishment, has workers that refuse to do their part in this movement of MANKIND. Please remember that there are people who are forced to make essential trips to secure their children while their other parent secures your freedom. read more

Is Taco Bell truly becoming one of the healthiest fast-food chains? I wasn't completely convinced when I visited, but I also didn't choose one of the healthier options because I got the $5 special. Order came out fast! Wasn't particularly impressed with the food but I wasn't expecting much m. It was basically the same thing in different forms. Small amount of ground beef, beans, cheese, lettuce in a burrito and hard taco and a had taco with a soft tack wrapped around along with fried churro that taste more like crackers than actual churros and a medium drink. I was fine with getting it since I was on the goal, but definitely wouldn't order it again on a normal day. Service was super quick and the cashier person was really nice. Taco Bell is not my fav but it's an option I wouldn't mind once in awhile. read more

We went to place our order in the drive thru (with no cars ahead of us & hardly anyone in the parking lot) and were told it would be a 20 minute wait. When I asked why I was told they "are overloaded". At Wendy's the girl there told me a woman told her the same story a week ago and that the workers at this Taco Bell have a rep of being lazy. He was wearing gloves to take the money from the customers which is a great idea and protecting himself from COVID. Passing through my family and I stopped here. We went in to use the rest room. An employee greeted us and held the door open for my son and I. The restroom was clean and stocked. It even smelt clean. (Thankfully. It seemed like a busy area with a lot of truckers). We got back into our car and decided to go through the drive thru so we can get back on the road quickly. We ordered our food and the attendant had offered to make my husband's breakfast item a meal with is drink and added the hashbrown; the combo gave it a couple at discount! She was very friendly. We got up to the window and our food was ready for us. 3 employees were at the window with it and our drinks. our food was hot and tasted pretty good for fast food. Omg I'm still dying here after two solid days of gut wrenching pain from bodily expulsion both north and south! On Sunday 7/8/2018, we were caught up in the Altamont Pass Fire. The hillside to our left blew up enough to scare the jewels off any jewel loving thief. As the surroundings became more dangerous and the drivers started pulling moves not seen since Steve McQueen movies, we followed the pack and exited stage left. Mind you it was 6:30 by now. We had been in locked down stuck mode nearly 45 minutes. So after some serious get outta dodge moves we made our way down Hwy 5 South. The plan was to find an alternate route toward the San Mateo Bridge. Patterson pass was even more crowded and heading directly into danger with the winds topping 35 mph. We decided to cross over by Hwy 33. We stopped in SANTA Nella for fuel and grub. Decided to make a run for the border. Mistake number 1. Stopping was mistake number 2. It put us behind even further. Ordered the new Steak Nachos Box and a drink. Stopped in the restroom to wash my hands before picking up order. It's a big order of nachos. Put them aside and continued the drive which took A total of 6 hours before reaching home. The following day about 6:00 am I started to feel cramping and a bit feverish. I also noted I was feeling lightheaded and a bit weak. My tummy started cramping harder and I was now on the hunt for some pepto bismol at work. After scoring a couple of chewable tabs it took less than 20 minutes and my body was in full on explosive mode. I was clammy, sweaty, shaking and doubled over in pain with release happening north and south in my body. This lasted at work for another 5 hours before my daughter picked me up. It was so bad my supervisor wanted to call an ambulance he was so concerned! This visit was on Sunday and today is Tuesday nearing 6pm. I still have cramping and am very weak. I can't seem to get enough fluids back in my system. The store was ridiculously busy but it's no excuse to forestall safety practices and keep workers from contaminating food whether with their hands or sloppy work practices like leaving sour cream out of the refrigerator too long. I've lived my lesson and hope you will learn from this "Toads Wild Ride" experience. Keep snacks on hand in your car so you don't have to submit to establishments with poor health and safety practices! read more

Filled up gas on this exit off of the interstate and had an immediate craving for T-bell while driving by. I did not want to order anything heavy, so I just got the triple layer nachos to-go. The guy at the drive thru was pretty friendly and they had the order ready as soon as I got to the window. They didn't ask what sauce I wanted, but were quick to add it to the bag once I requested it. Although the service was good, the food quality was average as best. I hate to be a snoot about fast food, but the bean to nacho ratio on my triple layer nachos was definitely off. I was able to salvage the meal by dousing it in hot sauce, but I would have preferred a better spread of beans in the dish. Not a bad looking T-bell from the outside though, for those travelers that want to sit and have a meal. read more
