Over the years, I've given up on most fast food, except the bean burritos from TB. A recent craving drove me to this locay. I remember in the early 90s they were 59cents and 39cents on certain Wednesdays. Now it's a $1.99 and up in Jersey they were $2.79. Lollll. Nonetheless , taste has been consistent over the years. I enjoyed the burritos from here. Love the fire and Diablo sauce. The latest on their sauce selection. I ordered thru the app and picked up my food from the grab n go section. I have to say I am only giving this restaurant two stars instead of one because of the gentleman who I believe to be the manager/team lead as he always has on a button up shirt and not the taco bell t-shirts. I have kids, and I know they need jobs and I know teenagers are silly and immature, HOWEVER, that's fine when you don't have customers but not while you have people to serve. Their always on their phones, loud, cursing, playing around (drive thru and in the lobby). And when i said loud, i mean LOUD. I personally don't want people playing around while making my food! Last night I stood in the lobby for a good 5 minutes while 4 or so ignored me. Only until the "manager" came around the corner, did my order get taken. I have to write a love letter to this taco bell. I've tried pretty much all the taco bells in the Sugar Land area and they don't hold a candle to this one. It's the only taco bell that I've ever seen with above a 3 star rating. While their food isn't always amazing, when it's good it's great and when it's great it's life changing. Their burritos are always warm, their service is always quick. The fillings are always well balanced. It's about as good as a fast food restaurant run by high school kids is going to get. All taco bells start at 3 stars for me because let's face it, it's a fast food joint. Compared to other Tex-Mex restaurants, it's not the most stellar of places. But, it is fast, and the food is somewhat decent. I ordered the nacho fries and the Mexican pizza for myself. The former is new, and the latter has been a menu item ever since I can remember, even as a kid. I like the Mexican pizza because it's crispy and not something I can make at home. This item was pretty standard at this place compared to other locations in terms of taste and texture. The nacho fries were well-seasoned, and the accompanying cheese had a kick to it which I liked. The only problem was that the fries were cold within a couple of minutes of obtaining the order. I docked a star at this location due to the inside being dirty. There was food and crumbs on the bench seats. There were cups and water bottles left behind by previous customers. It was not clean, and our food was available before the guy could clean the tables and seats. I felt awkward for standing with my tray while the guy cleaned. Oh well. Don't let the rat traps around the restaurant deter you. One is a gray box not far from the door which looks like a vent; the other looks like a rock near the bushes. You can tell because they've got ramps entering the holes. I wouldn't have known otherwise, but someone pointed it out to me. I come here often when I'm craving some good tacos. I always come here and often get the chalupa or crunchy taco whichever my taste endeavors take me. Their ice tea are also very fresh and always good. The sauces are rampant and readily available at the service station near the fountain drinks. When I first came into their store I did not see anyone at the register nor by the kitchen so I decided to order my food through the new system where you can order your food yourself. After 5 min they called my name and I grabbed my food from the counter but I had asked the lady that I was missing my drink and she walked away. I'm not a big Taco Bell person but I decided to try it a few days ago because I was hungry and couldn't decide what to eat. Just as I was about to pass Taco Bell, the commercial with "Chef Lorena Garcia" came on the radio and I made the decision to try the chicken cantina bowl. I ended up getting the combo with the chips & drink. My total was about $7 and some cents. I immediately thought that I might as well have gone to Chipotle, then! The bowl looked good, but not amazing. The portions aren't as generous as Chipotle, but it wasn't terrible either. I'm happy to say that the bowl wasn't as disappointing as I thought it would be. The chicken was seasoned well and the guacamole was a good addition, but I felt like something was missing. I put the "fire" sauce for some additional flavor, but that didn't give it the kick I wanted. The most disappointing part of all of this was my drink. It was supposed to be a Dr. Pepper. It did not taste like Dr. Pepper...or any other soda I'm familiar with for that matter. I had to dump that sucker down the drain because it tasted terrible. All in all, food was okay...drink sucked. It seems weird to review a Taco Bell, because you'd think that they are the same. But the service is exceptional at this one. The store is always very clean, and they always get my order right, unlike some other Taco Bells (I'm looking at you Hwy 90 Taco Bell/KFC). Two times, two separate workers observed know madly that I must be vegetarian based on my order and suggested menu items I might like that could be made vegetarian. We have been going to this Taco Bell location since its grand opening on 7/15/12. We have tried the new Lorena Garcia menu as well as our old faithfuls like cheesy gordita crunch, bean burrito, tostada, 7 layer burrito and nacho bell grande. This afternoon we got a cheesy gordita crunch substitute beans among other things. They put beef in it and we had to take it back. Growing pains but we are not deterred. It's the newest nearest location for us. We will just be careful from now on. read more

The love of my life. I find that many of my non-vegetarian friends often complain about Taco Bell, but maybe they're talking about the meat options?? I'm vegetarian and I've never had a problem! I sub any meat with beans because they have the greatest beans ever. I normally get the cheesy bean and rice burrito, but when I'm feeling adventurous I get the mexican pizza (with beans instead of beef and add sour cream and pico de gallo), a side order of pintos and cheese plus rice, a double decker taco sumpreme (with beans instead of beef), and the list goes on! But really everything vegetarian on the menu is appetizing. They used to have a sauce called lava sauce which made even the most basic bean burrito taste exquisite. I was honestly heart broken when they discontinued it. I pray for its comeback every night, but a good substitute for it would be the creamy jalepeno sauce. OVERALL, Taco Bell is my second home and I wouldn't have it any other way :-) read more
