I wouldn't even give this place one star. I'm very understanding of businesses and the fast food industry. This place continuously is a let down- everytime you let the past slide they will give you another reason to not return. I live and work in the area so I've give it several chances despite my bad experiences. First of all, the crew who work there are all extremely unprofessional. They are rude, dismissive, and unhygienic. When you go in there expect to be treated like complete garbage and either demeaned or ignored. Music might be blaring from someone's phone in the back and it is extremely hot due to the employees altering the heat and smells a skunk due to the overuse of marijuana in duty. I'm used to not having what I had in mind in the menu. But today I went in around 8 pm at night and was first informed they had no chicken (but I'm understanding so I was going to settle for something else) Only to be informed in a condescending way that anything off the menu was going to have to be vegetarian. Listen, I know damn well there is at least one form of a meat in that entire restaurant. Especially due to the delivery of that message. The staff is so high there that they find the use of their phones more important and cackling in the back while eating for free. This place is dirty, the staff is disrespectful!!! There is no point in reviewing Taco Bell food as it is consistent across the board. It isn't Mexican food. This review is for the store location itself. I came here one evening (9PM) with some friends for a quick bite. The parking lot was at least half-full but upon entering there were only two customers eating together and a couple of employees in the back. The manager confided that most of the cars were for the Tipsy Moose next door. We ordered a couple of things and they came up quick enough so no complaints there. However, finding a clean table was near impossible as they hadn't bothered to tidy up the dining room. I don't know if they were slammed just before we arrived or not, but the drive through had many cars in it. Other reviews here mention how slow it is, so it might be a staff efficiency issue. Having managed a fast food place, I can say that some things are out of your control but this appears to be systemic. At 9PM, with only 2 customers in the store, you should be able to send someone to bus tables. The food was average, as expected. However, I would have preferred a cleaner environment to eat in. I have definitely experienced cleaner Taco Bell restaurants, which is why my review is so low. read more

Your employees are thieves. Someone hacked the Taco Bell app and ordered themselves a soft taco for delivery to the address of your store itself and gave themselves a $10 tip, 4 times. Did no one there think that was odd when the address came in? Where did the tacos go? Did the manager investigate? Sounds like an inside job. I called the store and all I got was, "sorry the app was hacked". Not my password, the app. The person changed my phone number to what I assume is theirs as a part of the hack. Before Taco Bell, there was an old brick house on the site that housed Rexford's restaurant, which served great food. Located at the top of Morrison Ave, it's a great location because it's very close to Harvard On The Hudson (HVCC). I can remember those crazy lunch runs to/from here during my high school years, when things were very cool. I had to rush down here, get the food, and rush back. I used to consume my tacos and burritos in economics class, which was allowed by the "unnamed" teacher. Most of my other classmates would go to the Brunswick McDonald's on Hoosick Rd, but I preferred "ringing the bell." This place is also great for late night snacks too and I'd hit the drive thru before heading to the clubs with my crew. (http://www.tacobell.com) A few years ago, this location was remodeled and cobranded with Long John Silver's, which was on hiatus from the Capital District for several years. Here's a cool idea, combine the soft tacos/or burritos (without beef) and the battered fish and you've got FISH TACOS, similar to Rubio's (minus the shredded cabbage & neat salsa bar). I've done this many times to recreate the tasty West Coast favorite. This has been one of my favorite Taco Bell's, but my last experience was horrendous. I ordered nacho fries and the buffalo chicken nacho fries burrito. For one, the nacho fries were undercooked and had no seasoning on them. They must of been left out for a few hours. Now, the burrito was one of the most repulsive things I've ever eaten. It tasted like they dumped a full gallon of buffalo sauce in it. Also, the nacho fries in it were mushy and disgusting. In addition, there were chunks of tomatoes that were nasty and the chicken looked old and disgusting. Also, I don't think they put any nacho cheese sauce in the burrito. I almost threw up when I bit into it, it was sickening. Furthermore, when they employee gave me the food he sneered at me and gave a weird laugh, making me think they did this on purpose. It's Taco Bell. Not the best food in the world but certainly not the worst. It's really close to where I practice hockey, so we popped in here to undo all of the burned calories. I order everything without meat...so it's simple..a shell of some kind with shredded lettuce, tomato and sometimes a form of sauce/moisture...like sour cream or that cheese sauce. We ordered the nacho fries. I've seen the commercials and decided to be the ultimate consumer. Meh....fries were soft, soggy and not very hot. The other food was fine...it's Taco Bell. The girl behind the counter was pleasant and had a nice way about her. She's the reason for the third star....otherwise it would only be 2. Why? The place is a mess....including the bathroom. Staff is always incredibly rude so we stopped going to this location even tho it was close to home, we started driving the extra 10 minutes to the next closest one. One morning staff ignored us at the drive thru, we thought maybe the speaker wasn't working so we drove up to the window, they were standing in the kitchen looking at us but didn't come to the window, we honked and kept waiting then finally just drove away. Another time I went inside to pickup an order and I didn't know the lobby was closed I waited ten minutes at the register patiently for someone to assist me, they all kept looking at me but didn't come over I was too shy to say anything and thought they were just busy so I kept waiting. Finally my partner came inside and said "excuse me we're just picking up two orders" they then yelled at us saying we weren't supposed to be in the lobby and we'd have to go through the drive thru. I explained I didn't know because I didn't see any signs on the door and that it was unlocked, and I said it gave lobby pick up as an option and explained that they had all seen me standing waiting for ten minutes and hadn't said anything the whole time. First, let me start by saying I normally love Taco Bell. However, the location on Vandenburgh Ave needs serious corporate scrutiny. I've never had a positive experience at this location. Today was no exception, after work I stopped in for some lunch and was greeted by a very pleasant person behind the counter. She proceeded to take my order and I waited for my food. A few minutes later I was presented with a bag that I assumed would be my correct order, so I looked inside. I noticed that my food was very messy and my crunch wraps were burnt. The same nice employee who took my order noticed that I appeared concerned and asked me if everything was OK to which I replied "no I don't think so". She then asked me if I would like the items in question remade and I replied that I would, at that point I heard remarks coming from the woman behind the grill who had originally made my food. This foul mouthed employee continues on to say that there was nothing wrong with my food and that it certainly wasn't burnt, I should've taken pictures to prove how wrong she was! She then continued her offensive remarks. But honestly that's not even why I am so upset, I'm more concerned that she felt it was appropriate to badmouth a customer when that person was standing right in front of them! When her superior heard the comments, she immediately told the employee to be quiet however the employee continued the profanity completely disregarding her supervisors request. I couldn't believe the disgusting behavior I was witnessing, I am a frequent customer and do not deserve to be treated this way! In fact, I am a manager of a retail store across the street from this building and am actually quite curious as to how this employee has managed to maintain her position when it is incredibly evident that she doesn't give an actual crap about her appearance, the customers, her work ethic, or the products that she takes part in producing! What a horrible employee, on top of a horrible experience! Oh, and the restaurant was filthy too! Food on the floors, and on the condiment stations. Tables not wiped, and the soda fountain area was a disaster. It's a shame how customer service isn't a priority at this location, I think a few people here could use a refresher. read more

Just about everything about this location is great. It's right next to a CC, so it's always open late and it's at the intersection for a red light, so it's easily accessible. I have always loved Taco Bell and their usually lightning fast response to orders. Occasionally, if it is not too busy, I will place an order, walk over to the napkin/hot sauce/etc. stand and my order will be ready in the matter or moments. Truth be told, I have had a complaint about this location once, and to be clear, only once. I feel that everyone, both people and businesses, can make mistakes, but it is our reaction to said mistakes that defines us as poeple (and as businesses). One night (years ago), I was at this Taco Bell location and the order seemed to take forever to make, for whatever reason. I do not know whether they were short-handed or simply had lazy employees that night, but I called the 1-800 Taco Bell customer service number and let them know that I was displeased with the service I had received. Within a matter of days, the manager from the very same Taco Bell that I had visited called me and offered his sincere apology and offered a free value meal during my next visit. While this would have been enough to satisfy me, he surprised me even during my next visit. As was my custom at the time (I'm a creature or habit ... speaking of which, it's been YEARS and this is still my customary order at Taco Bell when I visit), I ordered a #8 (I believe it was a #8) ... two gorditas: beef supreme with a soft taco and a chicken quesadilla. When the manager recognized the fact that I was the one who made the complaint, he even comp'd the quesadilla, even though the coupon I had received only called for the free value meal (gorditas + soft taco). I feel that this is spectacular customer service and is the type of thing that will keep a customer coming back for years to come. read more

Taco Bell is Taco Bell, really I don't think I need to rate the food. You know what you are getting. What is unique about this location is the atmosphere; depending on the time of year you go. Obviously during the college semesters, you see lots of students. The remaining times of the year you are sure to find an interesting group of characters at this location. Whether it's the "entertaining" staff, the litany of 420 customers or just the locals, it's often entertaining just to sit and people watch! Dinner and entertainment. read more
