First time coming to this chain. It's junk food, but in a fine way. The chips were light and toasty but thin and fragile. Not great for scooping, but fine if you fork stuff onto 2 or 3 of them. The minced beef was meh. The fresh salsa bar was nice. I unironically enjoyed putting more 'stuff' on the assortment of things I ordered. Lastly, the cheesecake chimichanga was surprisingly good, multi-textural in a good way, and with a subtly complex flavor. As a restaurant, I'd give this place a solid 3. As a fast-food establishment, it's a 5. Place was clean, service was quick, straightforward, polite, and professional. I'll specifically name Aman as the guy who took my order. Thanks, Aman. When the man arrived at the window to take my money, he never took off the plastic gloves he was wearing that touched my food Super disgusting! This is a solid Bueno. I've lived in Oak Point for several years after moving from Grapevine, and this location is just as good as the ones in Gtapevine and Flower Mound. I see a lot of negative reviews on here for this spot, but we haven't experienced any issues ourselves. If you're expecting five-star dining and are disappointed that it tastes like fast food, that's on you. I've got to say, the food was regular Taco Bueno fare. My issue's began with the cashier greeting us with a dirty look. As he handed me my receipt, and as he tore it off the printer, he began to stare off into space and didn't recover until I had taken my receipt from his hand. I thought that was weird, but...whatever. As I was looking at my receipt while eating, I noticed I was charged full price for my small drink when the signage clearly states "add a small drink for .99". So I went back up to the counter to request my refund, but the girl behind the counter gave me an even dirtier look than the original cashier. This location is the worst! The food is good, as most Bueno is good. But the staff and wait time is 100% the worst. Every time I go! Ive even rolled up 1-2 hours before they were suppose to close and they were closed. Not once, twice! I just tried to go tonight through the drive thru, I sat behind 1 car for 5 mins. The drive thru lights weren't even on. The person said give them a minute. 5 mins go by I say "hello" they say give them a minute. 10 mins later I drove off and went to Panda Express. Then after a quick service there, I drove past Bueno the original car in front of me still sitting at the window. The car behind me still at the drive through and 3 more cars after them. This place is a joke! Corporate, get some actual competent staff in there! We went inside and stood at the counter for literally 5 minutes and we had to finally ask someone to help us. There was an employee putting lids on containers in the back the entire time who could have come to help us. I rarely go to taco bueno for the simple fact the quality usually isn't good. But what else can I expect from a fast food Mexican restaurant Tonight I went at 11:30pm after I got off of work, pulled up and they said they're out of food... they're open until 1am. I asked if they even had beans. They said no they ran out of food awhile ago and they didn't want to make anymore. Because it wouldn't all sell and they don't want to waste. I work in the restaurant industry, so I fully understand waste..but I also know your open until it's time to close. Which means even if you run out of food you make more. I visited this location today with my mother and was not amused. We were the only car in the drive thru (and only a couple cars in the parking lot total). After paying and being given our drinks we were asked to move forward, which I'm guess is to try and salvage their drive thru averages for when it's busy but that's cheating and as a customer annoying as hell. This isn't really a review. I like Taco Bueno and this one is as good as any. Food is hot, fresh, (although the tea was past it's prime during my dinner rush visit) and good. My complaint is the canned music playing is WAY too loud, loud enough to make any conversation difficult, and just awful music to these Baby Boomer ears. The music is what I'd call new age elevator music...lots of programmed hand-clapping, singing in unison, and non-sensical singing in general. You hear it everywhere,but no generation claims to own it. If you must play this drivel, will you please crank it down from 11 so us old codgers can eat in relative peace and quiet. I went there again today to get a Chicken Taco Salad without tomatoes, a Bean Burrito with onions and Beef Tacos without lettuce and was told at the drive thru that they can not vary the menu. So we when to a full service restaurant that would vary their menu and had a nice meal. Now I see why their sales have fallen. And just think about it... I can get a hamburger at McDonalds with tomatoes if I so desire.... We went on taco Tuesday for the taco plate special. The service was fast and the employees were very friendly and our order was fulfilled correctly. The rice and beans were good as was the guacamole and chips. The beef that was in the tacos was disgusting. I don't know if it was the type of meat they use or the seasoning that was on the meat but we did not like it one bit and ended up throwing them away. It was not like hamburger meat like you expect. Wow. I've been here several times over the years, and the food is decent. Recently I've begun ordering through Uber Eats. Their prep time is amazingly slow. The estimated delivery time has changed three times since I ordered! The time has changed to 30 minutes PAST the original delivery time. This is clearly not the fault of the driver since he's been at the facility waiting for them to finish. Use caution when ordering delivery from here, or better yet, order when you're not that hungry, because you will be starving by the time you get it! read more

This is a new location for them. Popular for Saturday lunch for small groups and families getting a bite to eat. Steady stream of traffic through the drive-through and dine-in customers. read more

I've been there a few times since they opened, but don't recall the dates. Based on reviewer Nan, I am sure I was in the same drive thru line one day as she was. I could clearly see into part of kitchen through the glass door at the drive thru window. There appeared to be ZERO sense of urgency, considering the line was literally wrapped around the place. Employees seemed to just be wandering about rather aimlessly. I have to pin this down to very poor management. Sorry. I will say I usually always get the same thing, which is the taco platter, and it's never not been really good and fresh. Same with the cheesecake chimichangas. So, it seems the cooks have THEIR act together at least; kudos to them. There is ALWAYS a problem though with the completeness of the order. They LOVE to forget the bag of chips on the side and the salsa I request. They have also forgotten the sour cream and guac that is supposed to come with the platter. The person at the window needs to check for the completeness of the orders before handing it to the customer; this is key. I love Taco Bueno as a rule, and was excited to see they were opening one, so I truly do hope they can work out the kinks SOON. To give credit where it is due, the last time I was there this past week? There were a few cars in front of me, and I was...concerned. They knocked em out in really short order, though...the salsa I requested? You guessed it. LOL I blame myself for not checking it before I pulled away. ;) To the owners? Went through the drive through today and order one taco. First waited over four minutes for anyone to acknowledge me. Then she couldn't understand my order. The service at this Location is so slow and the employees are not friendly with the exception of a few older ladies. After waiting in a "fast food" line for 15 + minutes that only had a handful of cars ahead of me, the manager, Bryan, opened the window and quickly and not sincerely said "sorry about the wait" and shut the window immediately. Of course our order was also wrong when we got home. This has happened to us on multiple occasions but the wait is always so frustrating. I also hate leaving a bad review but someone at this location needs to know about it. We were so excited when they opened because we typically love taco bueno but the service has always been bad at every visit. The food is adequate when they get the order right. Wow. Friday evening 7:13 pm. Drive thru. Second vehicle in line. After about 7 minutes I shut off the engine. Soon after I heard the drive through speaker ask their order. About 2 minutes later I was able to pull up. They told me it will be a few moments. About a minute later I ordered 2 items. And drove around to pay. I stated "that was a long wait" their response " there was a big order in front of you". I paid and was given my food. None of the 3 vehicles behind me had pulled around yet...... the food tastes fine. Tex-mex must have bbq sauce but with some hot sauce it's better. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. It's a Taco Bueno. Not much different than any other. EXCEPT they have an older female manager of some sort and she is AMAZING at customer service and she's teaching her people to follow suit. She's always super friendly and makes you feel like she remembers you every time you come in or drive thru. I wish I could remember her name. I feel like she's training a future generation of people who will actually HAVE some customer service skills and a go-getter attitude that so many companies are lacking now.
