Steak Torta and Taco Plate (2 Tacos)
    Angel P.

Came here for dinner and enjoyed a very good torta and very filling tacos. Got some steak tacos with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and some fish tacos with cilantro and onion with a large horchata. Food was delicious with very good portions and inside is spacious with lots of sitting space, and they are open 24 hrs! All the staff was welcoming and helpful Definitely will be back!

I used the Uber Eats app to get takeout. The user interface was well-organized and simple to navigate. They responded quickly, notifying me that my food would be ready in ten minutes. When it was time to pick me up, I got a chance to glance throughout the interior, which was bland and unimpressive; just a place to stop for a quick bite to eat. The packing process executed alright. Food might quickly become contaminated if it wasn't sealed properly. Each taco was individually wrapped in tin foil, and the fries were placed in a plain paper bag. When I returned to my workplace, the lunch was still warm. I enjoyed two of their steak tacos. The steak was minced and had a good flavor, but it was also somewhat dry. Freshly chopped onion and cilantro were added to the top. With a hint of sweetness, it had a strong pungent flavor. The roja and verde salsas, in my opinion, are too thin and flavorless. I had a side order of crinkle fries. The serving was substantial. I thought the fries were underseason. This is a good place to grab a quick lunch. It was reasonably priced and the food was decent. The staffs were efficient. It's a fantastic thing if someone has a late-night taco desire because it's open 24/7.

Well it started off really well. My friend and I went to this location to have a quick lunch. You can't go wrong with Mexican food right? Wrong! I will say this, there was ample parking , the staff seemed friendly at 1st, the portions seemed very large. And we had the biggest serving of guacamole I'd ever received at a restaurant for not that much. We trucked through most of our meal. As we chatting and attempting to finish the humongous guacamole dish we both look down and see our biggest fear come to fruition. A hair. We were absolutely mortified. My friend ask for a refund while I threw up in the bathroom. And I mean literally threw up in the bathroom. The staff person at the register refunded our guacamole and chips but compted nothing else. Nor did he offer an apology. I understand that hair sometimes sheds and it's not intentional. But seriously no apology. And the man acted as if we had done something wrong by reporting the issue. I later looked at the reviews and was not surprised they are so low. A hair can happen the poor customer service afterwards was unacceptable to me. I spent $32 to throw up my meal. Touche.

I have ordered a Uber eats order and I asked them. Can I take the guacamole off of one of my junior burritos and they told me that they had already made it I asked them can they remake it and give the other one for sale or throw it away the lady told me you asked for you to not for I did not say I want it for I said I wanted to and on my two I wanted to change one of them she was being so rude do not go here you guys the dude acted like he was gonna change it. He was calling him for a junior, I burrito and then she come her ass up over here.

This place is like having a one night stand, it's a good idea at that drunken moment but definitely regrets in the morning. It must of been my lucky night cause the lady at the register was actually pretty nice and gave a little smile. Usually everyone working there looks like they don't want to be bothered and at times a little rude. The whole restaurant always seems pretty clean including the bathroom. The food on the other hand is edible but definitely on the bottom of my list as for Mexican food. Let's just say I wouldn't come here sober ever and if Taco Bell was open 24 hours I would prefer to go there. Prices are pretty reasonable considering they do pack the tacos with tons of meat and toppings that I normally wouldn't get on a taco. Tacos are pretty tasteless so I douse them in red salsa and I absolutely hate the kind of tortillas they use. The guacamole doesn't seem to be made in house, taste and texture is more like store bought Wholly guacamole. I don't recommend the fresh lemonade unless you like it with an old jalapeño aftertaste. Until there is other 24 hour taco joints near by I will probably still have that regretful drunken one night stand with TBK.

If you are looking for a good ol Mexican place, this is the place for you! They do take reservations and are pretty sizable. We went on Saturday night which was a bit crazy. It was very crowded and we were concerned about the service. While the service was a little bit on the slower side and we were there for almost 90 minutes, all the food came out hot and delicious. I got the Enchiladas in Mole Sauce which was excellent. It also came with a soup or salad which was a nice surprise. I went with the black bean soup which was great! If there was any downside, my House Margarita tasted a little weird. I probably could have complained, but I kept with it. Pretty good size, but I think there was a little too much tequila in it! Either way, this place isn't inexpensive, but you do get quite a bit of food and everybody at my table enjoyed their meal. Sometimes thats enough! This is a great icon in this part of Chicago/Rosemont.

It was surprisingly not very busy. We got there a little later, but 9pm on a Saturday night? Seemed odd that it wasn't busier. The server didn't greet us for quite a while. She didn't initially bring us chips and salsa. We placed our order then later comes back to the table and says, "you don't want chips?" We told her that we did. (Maybe the busboy dropped the ball on that.) Now, I've been going there for years, and usually get the steak dinner. Last night, I wanted to try something different so I ordered the taco dinner. There were two meat choices...chicken and ground beef. I opted for the ground beef. What I received was a mushy mess!!! Mushy ground beef with potatoes mixed in, topped with cheese, lettuce and tomato with a side of rice and refried beans. I waited for the waitress to come back to ask her if perhaps she got my order wrong. I really just wanted some traditional tacos. But since it took her so long and I was hungry... I started to eat the tacos. I really tried to eat them, but I couldn't. When she finally came back, she explained that they only come "American style," and the only tacos that come with onion and cilantro are the pork tacos. Well, I wish I would've known. She didn't offer or ask if I would like something else. The tacos were a mushy mess and absent of flavor, and the rice and beans tasted like they came from the bottom of the barrel that was sitting out all day. Honestly, I've gotten better Mexican food from the "roach coach" back in the day when I worked in a factory. The lighting was also weird. It kept dimming and getting brighter. Dim, bright, dim, bright. It sort of bugs me to do this review because Maria's was always one of those place we loved going to....not anymore. P. S. We went for dinner there last month, and it was less than stellar as well.

So, I stopped in during the week, just after lunch time and found this little hole-in-the wall of a restaurant conveniently nestled in a shopping center next to the local Walmart. Even though I walked in and the restaurant was completely empty, the pure vibrancy of the decor and the cheerfulness of the staff encouraged me to stay. Not to mention that the aroma making its way out from the kitchen was absolutely mouth-watering. I took a seat at the bar while I perused the menu and was delighted in the simplicity of it. You know the food is about to be fire when the menu is simple and a restaurant focuses on what it does well. In addition to the excellent service, the food was absolutely phenomenal. I started off with some chips and salsa.... which was delightfully flavorful and perfectly crisp. Then, I had a bowl of the tortilla soup. Each spoonful was like deja vu. Each bite made me feel like I was in my grandmother's kitchen as a little girl all over again. The broth was perfectly seasoned and each bite came with a chunk of chicken and an assortment of veggies... truly perfecto! Once I was done with the appetizers, I made my decision to try two tacos from the menu. The first was a salmon taco--and it didn't TASTE FISHY. It was grilled to perfection and then paired with an unexpected yet delicious topping of crispy potato strings and chipotle aioli. I ate every bite of this. It was the perfect combination of crunch and flavor, I just couldn't get enough. Then I also ordered the carne asada a cabron taco. Simple, yet dynamically flavorful. I was so full at this point but took this one home to eat at a later time. Still as amazing as the day I ordered it i'm sure. While I neglected to have any desserts or margaritas here, I was assured that they are just as remarkable as anything else. I had a wonderful meal, excellent service and I greatly look forward to going back if i'm ever in the area again for work. 10/10 Highly recommend!!

Situated in the far corner of a shopping complex, La Autentica Donita is pretty unassuming. Lined with colorful flags, plants, and string lights, the restaurant has a cute but vibrant atmosphere. Upon entering the party starts, with music blaring and drinks flowing, you know you're about to have a great experience when you see the happy faces of other guests. The drinks looked amazing, but we came here for the food. Recommended by staff was the ceviche & molcajetes -- they weren't kidding when they said those were good. We were so full when eating but kept going back for more as the flavor was addicting. The ceviche, made with tilapia, came out shaped like a fish -- an extremely cute way of plating that caught our attention inmediately. The flavor was amazing, not too fishy, perfectly paired with citrus, and minced small enough that we weren't left chewing our seafood for long. This paired perfectly with the accompanied chips, or if you're me, just eat it by the spoonful because it was that good and refreshing. The molcajete was....insane. You can't go wrong with flame grilled meat piled high in a stone bowl, but each piece had it's own flavor and was so delicious. Though served with homemade tortillas to make your own wrap, I couldn't stop myself from just grabbing the meat on its own. This was the first time I tried cactus as well, and to my surprise it had just as much flavor as the meat. The salsa that is poured on top of all the meat pools at the bottom of the molcajete after your meal, making for a great treat at the end with some rice. Speaking of rice, their rice is perfectly fluffy and has great flavor as well. I'm typically not a fan of beans but I couldn't stop eating the ones that accompanied our meal...how did they season everything so perfectly? I also ordered the enchiladas oaxaqueñas (mole), but ultimately was served the verdes. This wasn't a big deal for me and I didn't even bring this up since I devoured my plate anyway, but after reading a few reviews have found out that they often are out of the mole sauce and possibly just served me the green sauce for that reason. Something to be aware of in case you were set on trying their mole! All in all, this restaurant packs flavor, quality, and great service. Staff was always attentive and I wish I lived closer to try more items.

They have a nice sized outdoor seating area. The inside also looked cute. We were excited to see that they had a singer. At first he sang mostly Spanish songs but then switched to various songs and genres. He was very good. I'm not sure if he's a regular performer there or not though as this was our first time. We were seated and looked over the menu. We ordered chips and salsa (great chips and salsa btw). Then we ordered Dahlia margaritas. Chips and salsa came out quickly. Then we waited and waited and waited for our drinks. I saw a guy walking around with 2 not very appealing looking margaritas. He unsuccessfully attempted to deliver them to multiple tables, then finally came to our table and said "2 traditional margaritas" and we said no, we ordered Dahlia margaritas and he goes "Oh ya these are Dahlia margaritas." I looked at the margaritas and they had no salt and just looked meh. We kind of hesitated and he was like with no salt? And we were said no, we said salt. So we sent them back. Guys, I NEVER send things back...ever. Then we waited some more and finally the correct drinks were brought to us. We ordered our food, shrimp tacos and steak tacos. Then we were just chatting and we realized it had been awhile since we ordered. It was busy so we kind of just shrugged it off. Then our server came over and apologized that it was taking so long and said it should be out soon. We waited and waited and waited. We noticed that no one else around us seemed to be having delayed service. Then some girl who looked about 18 came over and apologized for the wait and asked if she could get us anything.... I wanted to say our food, but I did not. No joke, we waited 45 minutes for our tacos. All that was offered was a "sorry for the delay". When our food came we had to ask for silverware and then also ordered another round of margaritas (also side note the Dahlia Margarita is just meh and not worth the higher price). Our margaritas took 15 minutes. We were almost done with our dinner by the time they arrived. The shrimp tacos were really good minus the crazy amount of oil that dripped out while eating them. I held them sideways to try to drain as much out as I could. My husband enjoyed his steak tacos. Over $100 for 4 margaritas and 2 taco meals. Which is the standard nowadays. I will say the only reason we will not be returning is because of the service and the fact that they didn't seem to care that the service was so poor. Otherwise this would be a new favorite place of ours.
