First time here. I'll be direct with my review. Menu was ok. Ordered 2 tacos. Guaco and chips. 1. Chips were old. I asked to have new ones. They made them fresh for me. Great. 2. Tacos missing lime wedges. I asked for Limes wedges, they had to cum them Fresh. After seeing these chain restaurants called TACO BURRITO KING, I decided to try one and it was very expensive food served by employees that were filthy gross and bad attitudes. After waiting forever with my food sitting on the counter waiting to be bagged and handed to me I just grabbed it and left as putting it in a paper bag with napkins and plastic ware was proving to be too difficult for the employee that was suffering from either lack of sleep or he had consumed something that was making his mood and behavior less that respectable. It pains me to write this review. However, after the last three visits I will no longer do business with this establishment. This place used to be my favorite place to cure my late-night taco cravings. The last three visits, my father and I have gotten seriously ill. I'm unsure if the meat or the veggies are to blame, but I will not gamble on this place again. The other reviews are right. The steak looks and tastes like my dogs food. I'm not sure if they switched suppliers or what, but it's in no way USDA meat. The tacos and burritos have been dripping in grease and topped with wilted tomatoes, lettuce, and spoiled sour cream. It is so sad that they have ruined a nice establishment. The food is also tasteless, as other reviews have mentioned. It's sad when a place goes cheap to the point of losing customers! I'm not going to risk getting food poisoning again at this establishment. I'll go down the street to Las Asadas, or head to chipotle. Also, the cooks there have a very bad attitude. I came here on a Saturday evening (6:30-ish) with a friend. We ordered burritos to-go. Typically my husband picks up dinner for us, so this was my first time physically going into the restaurant. I really wasn't impressed. I found the location to be somewhat dirty and there were 5 employees standing around not doing much of anything. The cashier was friendly, but not overly friendly. The head cook was very matter-of-fact with the other employees and I guess I didn't care for that either. I prefer Chipotle and Qdoba to TBK. I like the fact that I can get black beans and/or pinto beans, not just refried. My burrito was wrapped pretty poorly and I ended up eating it with a fork instead...and it was just a veggie burrito. Not sure what's going on at this location, it used to be really good...maybe new staff, new cook I don't know, but I received the worst tasting meal I've ever had there yesterday. First of all, when I walk to register, no greeting (not the usual cashier), not sure if she understood English or maybe it was the new register because after asking me several times for clarification, she still got the order wrong. I asked for ground beef, I said it twice and got home and it was steak (and tough poorly seasoned steak at that). Ordered chips and salsa and when I took the bag of chips out, there was a whole in the bottom of the bag and the chips in the bottom part of the bag were soggy and shredded, yet nothing else in the bigger bag was wet. Ordered steak nachos with no sour cream and jalapeños to dine in. Cook made the order to go in a to go box. I reminded the cook that the order was dine in. The cook angrily opened the to go order and dumped it on a plate mixing all the ingredients, then dumped more cheese on top of the nachos and more meat due to him getting upset about having to change a to go order to a dine in order. Management would not replace the order. It is a Mexican fast food joint, very spacious but feels almost as dull as a McDonald's. Cheese quesadilla turned up so quickly that it cud not have been freshly prepared, probably they sell the frozen stuff. In the veggie fajita, we only got green peppers and onions, simply grilled with no salt and pepper and only 2-3 tortillas which were not exactly corn and not completely refined flour, somewhere in between. So the only thing Which was really good compared to the food and decor is their spicy salsa, both tomato (red) and chilli (green). This place is newly opened, when I first walked in, I was pleased with the layout, then quickly noticed all the dirt in the place. The floors and rugs were dirty, the stainless steel cabinet that the soda machine sits on has fingermarks all over the door, tables were not cleaned off etc. Its a shame that a new place would look like this so quick. Just ate here and will say it is the dirtiest restaurant I have seen in a long time inside or outside of this country. I'm no prude - I eat at mom and pop places a lot. Almost every table and the entire floor had food debris, napkins. We are taking about a couple dozen tables. Lunch had just finished but there were no people in line and the staff was essentially waiting around for the next order. No one was cleaning. In the bathroom walls had been patched and a urinal was covered in a plastic trash bag. To me there is not a corporate commitment to cleanliness. So I was actually really excited when they first opened this location because the one I used to go to in the city was pretty good. And of course the late hours! I've tried it a few times since it's really close to work but every time we go I get the same result. It's not horrible, especially for Mexican in the area but it lacks the flavor, the spices, etc. It's overall taste is bland. Their horchata is pretty good but it doesn't make up for their taste. Service is pretty quick but it can get crowded very quickly.
