Is zero stars an option? I order through door dash and once my food was delivered half was missing and some random things were added. Fixed the issue with door dash and called Taco Cabana and just let them know what occurred. I was told by the general manager, Tron Williams, that "I shouldn't jump to conclusions. Were all on the ball today and getting food out on time." I asked if a manager was available.. and was told, I am the manage." asked if there was a higher up manager. "I'm the GM, would you like a free dessert." it went on from there, but o cannot believe this is the type of customer service one receives from a general manage.. Today's lunch at Taco Cabana was a pleasant surprise. Normally, I avoid fast food places, yet the vibe that I received at this location off of Western Center Blvd. and N. Beach Street was different. For starters, the building itself conveys cleanliness from inside and out. You can tell that there was some money put into the place! The menu was very easy to read, and the cashier was courteous and even made recommendations that proved useful when choosing a meal at this establishment for the very first time. Our party consisted on four people, and three of us decided to order the combo meal of shrimp tacos (in a soft taco shell) along with tortilla chips + queso, along with a drink order. I can't remember the name of the shrimp taco/combo meal, yet I did remember was that for $6 and change, it was pretty good in comparison to the place next door that offered tons of grease and heartburn. Yet I'm not gonna go there today with that. :) The fourth person in our party had a burrito combo meal along with three chicken taquitos (which were very good). All and all, everything came to $30 and change. Again, not terrible considering that there are lots of fast food options in the plaza that Taco Cabana is in. The difference being? This meal actually tasted more like a meal versus that of the plain jane fast food. Although I try to stay away from sodas, I did try one with the combo meal (a strawberry Fanta), and needless to say, it tasted very fresh. It did not have the syrup-type of taste nor that of one that was completely flat. There was a large screen television that showed the day's news and such (in this case, CNN coverage) + Wifi. Not a bad meal for a party of four in terms of price and quality food if you are on a budget. Even more so, you did not leave the restaurant with a bloated stomach nor with nausea. I haven't been here in awhile and I used to love coming here, so I thought I'd stop by and order a small quesadilla. As soon as I walked in, there was no one behind the register nor did anyone greet me. I waited what seemed like a long time only to finally have this girl walk up and say,"What can I get you?" No greeting or even eye contact. It was like I was an inconvenience being there. I told her I wanted the small chicken quesadilla and not once did this employee looked up and give me the proper customer I should expect. So, I walked out. My wife and I needed a place for a quick lunch today and were not in the mood for the other fast food TexMex chains. WE like Taco Cabana because they have an expanded menu compared to other similar restaurants. Today's lunch was wonderful and a very good value for the money. I absolutely love their flautas and the freshness and variety of the salsa bar. My wife's personal sized chicken quesadilla was huge and she was barely able to finish it. The counter personnel were friendly and efficient and our food was delivered from the open kitchen very quickly. You can then add your phone number or email address to get a response back from corporate from the location you're complaining on also watch out for the morning manager here she likes to lie straight to her customers faces. This used to be my go to place for breakfast tacos. We started doing keto so stayed away about a year, but wanted to treat myself to some TC breakfast tacos. When I rolled up, I tried to order my usual 2 tacos and a drink and was told they don't have that meal anymore. I could get one taco and a hash brown with a drink. I said, "OK, just add an extra taco." I'm thinking it would add another 1.50 to the usual bill of less than $6. I drive around and was hit with a bill for $9.75 for two bland, tasteless bacon and egg tacos, a dried up, burned hash brown that I didn't want and a 16 oz drink. This of course after I had to correct the order they thought I had at the window. Disappointing. Price is one thing... corporate greed is at times unavoidable in an era where everything can be blamed on inflation, but to serve bland soggy tacos with a dried up hash brown and a drink filled to the top with ice, but not to the top with soda for nearly $10, all without a smile or a thank you tells me you don't want my business. (fastest - only for this location) (cheapest - 3-4 dollar breakfast each -that satisfies) ALSO, THE CHEAPEST MEAL FOR A GROUP OF 3 TO 4 PEOPLE (less then 5 dollars -total- to feed everyone in the group) If you go to this location (drive thru) before 11 AM and order the 12 pack Breakfast Tacos (The Cabana Way) I can guarantee that you will be shocked at how fast you'll get your order (I thought it was a fluke the first time, but this place has been consistent every time I order these). Literally, you order, drive up, pay, and they hand you the food (sometimes it does take just a minute). The 12 pack breakfast tacos (The Cabana Way), consists of 3 egg/bacon, 3 egg/chorizo, 3 egg/potato, and 3 bean/cheese tacos (salsa included). This meal costs around $11.90 (making each taco a $1 each) and usually I'm satisfied on 3 tacos. So if you want a cheap fulfilling breakfast (that doesn't take long to get) then I can't recommend this place enough. Now to lunch / dinner... A little trick I learned from a friend of mine. For less then 5 dollars you can get 12 bean burritos, really. Buy a pint of beans and a dozen flour tortillas. (sometimes if you ask nice, they'll put cheese on the beans for you). I've been here a few times always hoping for better food and service but I think tonight was my last experience. Texas must have the saltiest food I have ever eaten in my life. It seems most drive thru dives have their fair share of salty eats and Taco Cabana is right there on top of the heap. Not sure if this was a bad night or if this is typical of the quality of food offered at this location but I tried the ground beef hard shell tacos with stale taco shells and salty ground beef and was left a little salty that I wasted $20 on this crap. The refried beans were amazingly bland, and the rice, chips, and salsa were the best things in the bag. I tried the steak and it was the weirdest type of meat I have ever put in my mouth in all my life. The texture looked like steak but when I started chewing it was a salty super soft mess with no texture. I'm not sure that it was really steak. Never had steak that I didn't look like a cow chewing. Very very weird. I ended up tossing the steak tacos in the trash. The ground beef enchiladas had a chance but again was way too salty for me. The guacamole looked good but again had way too much salt for my taste. Customer service needs some improvement. I'm not sure if the drive thru staff is too stressed from the line of cars waiting to pay close attention to your order or if they just don't know how to listen to orders given but each time I've been to Taco Cabana I have never received the correct order. Every TC I've visited in DFW is terrible, this location is no exception. I'm from San Antonio and the TCs there are great. First, they don't understand what real cheese is...they all want to use that liquid queso cr@p on nachos. If I want movie theater nachos, I can get better quality at a movie theater. Sometimes they'll "fix" it for you with a tiny bit of real cheese, if you're lucky (for an upcharge, of course). Second, it takes forever to get your food, and when you do, it's cold, stale, and has tiny servings for the price. They haven't figured out how to make tortillas, either. For an "extra special" experience, you'll get rude staff that resent you for patronizing their establishment- how dare you. Come on TC, take some pride in your food prep, service and quality--there are plenty of competitors around that do. read more

I placed an online order today through Taco Cabana website and didnt receive my correct order. I ordered a 6 piece chicken flautas with 2 sides of sour cream and 2 of the 3oz red salsa. I also ordered a 3 piece chicken flautas with sour cream and sides of red salsa. I also ordered a piece of carrot cake. So I received the 6piece of flautas with both sour cream and the 3 piece of flautas with sour cream. I however didnt receive any red salsa at all. I asked for it on both orders of the flautas. I also got a piece of chocolate cake instead of carrot cake. I also didnt receive any napkins or utensils. Is it that hard for these workers to follow simple instructions. How do you want me to eat my cake. Do I have to eat it with my hands like a caveman. I am so tired of these restaurants not following the most basic instructions. It gets so frustrating when you are looking forward to some food and the order is messed up. I dont know if the chocolate cake was a mistake or they ran out of carrot cake. Tried this location several times. Today sealed the deal, never again!! The dining area his always dirty. Sat in the half booth half table today. My husband says "don't lean back."
