I love going to Christina's Fine Mexican Restaurant. I was told that a few months ago back in October that things had gone downhill and very bad at this location. But the assistant from another location Leah McBride and another manager took it over and they fired a lot of their staff due to bad performance including cooks. Now Leah is the General Manager and a couple weeks ago I was requiring about her and I was told that she really has cleaned it up with new employees. So last night three of us went to surprise her because we missed seeing her. She is super sweet, friendly, and outgoing. You can't meet a better Manager or person. She will make sure that you are experiencing a great time and enjoying food and time with family and friends. I also got to meet a very sweet and friendly server named Jeannine who is a senior in high school. She is very good at her job filled with energy and a great personality and smile. She was quick at refilling our drinks and making sure we had what we needed. Of course they have all you can chips and salsa. Mondays through Thursday they have happy hour until six for different items we usually get one of their appetizers. Monday's they have a great special for $10.00. You have a choice of two enchiladas, tacos, or burritos. Or you can mix either two of the entree's with rice and either refried beans, charro beans. We like to add sour cream and tortillas with ours. And on Wednesdays they have Fajitas special for $14.95 you can't beat that price anywhere that I know of? And their fajitas are well worth it. The inside has a much larger dining area than some of the other Christina's Fine Mexican restaurants. Lots of lighting, the decor is kind of western with Mexican atmosphere. They several large tables for large groups. read more

Came in on a Wednesday night, seated right away, my server noticed I was ready and took my order and my food was out in minutes. I ordered flautas which were delicious. I did ask for spicier salsa which they provided. The chips were passable, but I did like the hot black bean dip that came out that came with them. Overall, I would come back. Should have been served with cheese, cilantro and problano peppers just got chicken. I tried to explain to him but he wasn't apparently familiar with the menu. This is the best Mexican restaurant on our list. Pablo, our waiter, was welcoming and kind. The ambiance was comfortable and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious and the mojitos were a delight. We order the beef taco plate and the carne asada with shrimp relleno. The steak was tender and juicy. We have grown to love this place. The food is always good. The chips and salsa are fresh and consistently refreshed. I like that each person has their own serving of salsa, (double dipping) Tonight I had the ground beef burrito. The serving size is nice. Not so huge that it is insurmountable but will definitely it leave hungry. Husband had the brisket quesadillas. Sorry no pics he started eating before I could snap one. He also said was delicious and very generous size. We also tried the Mangonada Margarita, so so good, couldn't just have one, tasty . The service is as good as the food. All the people are kind, helpful, and smiling. And we think the pricing is really fair . Highly recommend this place, is becoming one of our go to places. read more

Absolutely gross. I did not want to come here but I was on a time crunch. I ordered a quesadilla thinking "how can you mess that up?" It came out sitting in a pool of oil... I tried to eat it but could not. I was told that "Mexican Brisket is just very oily..." I eat a lot of brisket and never experienced that. Once again the staff was extremely friendly and apologetic. Nice restaurant with several locations. Our order came so fast it was surprising. I ordered the Veggie Taco Plate and it was tasty. Decided to do a late lunch today at the Christina's, arrived around 1:30 PM. This was our first time eating at any Christina's, and excited to try a different Tex-Mex place. They were not too busy but were about to serve a large party. It's a nice looking place and clean. We were seated in a reasonably amount of time. Drink order was taken quickly. Chips and salsa bean dip arrived with drinks. Salsa was bland, sort of reminded me of minced tomatoes from a can, that the cilantro and other normal ingredients ran through with their socks on. The black bean dip was the highlight of the dips and it was typical mashed black beans. Wife order dinner pork tamales and you couldn't tell if it was pork or ground beef, and it too was bland. I had the burrito dinner, chicken, and it looked more like chicken enchiladas than a burrito. They (2ea) did have a good amount of chicken filling, but had it not been for the cheese sauce would have been very bland as well. For us, not sure we'll try again, so back to our neighborhood Mexican restaurant for now. read more

Veronica is amazing. Don't know how she always remembers food and all my exceptions on my food. Plus she makes the best on the rocks Margaritas! I am normally a frozen margarita girl! But she makes me go rocks! Great service love her! I hear her when other customers come in. She knows what they drink. She knows what they want to eat - what and how they want their food prepared. Would not recommend and I wouldn't go back. The service was terrible, it took so long for her to even come to the table, I was ready to get up and leave and she hadn't even stopped by. Our drinks were left empty while she chit chatted with other tables and at the bar. My understanding of the Chile con queso was wrong but the servers response was rude. The flavor of the queso tasted like it was out of a can. And the "burrito dinner" was more like enchiladas. My moms sour cream sauce wasn't terrible but just really bland even for sour cream sauce. read more

Warning for #GlutenFree diners: this restaurant is NOT GLUTEN FREE!! Dine at your own risk!! While the menu specifically highlights numerous items as being #GlutenFree, upon questioning the manager a little further we learned that ALL fried items - taco shells, chips, etc are fried in the same fryer as the flour items!! Even the fried rice - according to the manager - has wheat in it!! We were shocked that so many menu items are clearly marked GF, yet these food items were clearly not gluten-free. The manager seemed unperturbed that their menu incorrectly states they offer gluten-free choices, and that ingesting non-gluten-free food could send one of us to the ER for a few days in the hospital. Even the Mexican rice is fried with flour. We were told that we should not order anything other menu if we "gluten sensitive". My spouse asked why the menu says gluten-free if it's not, and we were told that the gluten-free items are only for people who are mildly sensitive to gluten. WTF! Never, ever going back. Stay away if you need GF options. In a side note, to those of you who enjoy a nice glass of wine, while Cristina's bills itself as "fine dining", their wine menu is limited to your choice of Woodbridge. Three star review only based on service! That is unfortunate because the food is actually really good and we would be back again. But the service was so slow and awful!! My husband and I rarely get out with just the two of us for a day out. At first we were greeted quickly and our drink order was taken within minutes of being sat down. But once we ordered our food the waiting waiting game began. The food took a while to come out but was really good! No complaints about on the food! But after we were done eating we were just ignored by every employee that passed our table! They could see we were done and ready to leave but no one tried to get our waiter to our table. We spent about an extra 15 minutes waiting to get our tab to leave. We will return when we are not pressed for time but if you need to be somewhere after lunch or dinner I would not go here. read more

Thumbs down : hostess showed zero interest in helping, server had big language gap, asked 4 times to repeat drink & didn't know what wine, by brand, type or even what wine really is, had to send a 2nd person, server said restaurant offers non alcoholic beer & of course backup person either didn't understand or check, server did a disappearing act, until time to give check. I ordered rice, refried beans and salsa for Christmas day. This is the only reason they get two stars. I picked it up Christmas eve and the order was wrong but they quickly gave me what I assumed was the right stuff. Beans, rice and salsa- not too complicated. The beans and rice were good on Christmas day but when I went to open the salsa it was ORANGE- I used to eat at Cristina's every week so I was very familiar with their salsa. Not only was it orange it was so HOT nobody could eat it. They gave me a quart and charged me for a quart and I only ordered a pint. When I called to tell them about the mistake they let me know I must of ordered the HOT SAUCE. They did not offer to refund or replace the salsa at all. Unfortunately, Cristina's is going downhill or at least this location. A few months ago I was eating in the restaurant and there was a big black piece of plastic in my salsa. I actually put it in my mouth. When I told the server they acted like no big deal. Did not even offer to replace the salsa on the table. So good luck if you decide to eat there. read more
