Rarely, do I experience bad food...especially when it's billed as Mexican cuisine but today was the exception. Should have figured it out when the chips and salsa arrived. The Salsa arrives in a small tiny bowl, half filled. Least of our worry though because it was like tomato sauce with a little cilantro. Bland. We ordered the queso and we both tried the beef fajita Street tacos with homemade corn tortillas. The queso like the salsa was bland. The street tacos were the worst we ever had and after one bite we decided it was time to go. Staff was super nice and attentive...loved being able to sit outside and eat.

We were looking for a new place to try out. We landed @ Maria's. We were sat quickly. The inside of the restaurant was not loud. There is a nice patio outside. The restaurant inside was beautiful. We started with Aimee's queso. It had brisket, queso, jalapeños and pico. It was $13. It was ok. The queso looked and tasted like it came from a can. My hubby got The Laredo nachos. 2 cheese, 2 chicken, 2 beef fajita and 2 shrimp nachos. He said they were good, a little greasy, works great for an appetizer. I had the Spicy Chipotle Chicken enchiladas with rice and bean soup. The server let me know they were pretty spicy. I can stand spicy. Let's give 'er a go! I took the first bite and questioned my ability to handle the heat. I took a little bit of my hubby's sour cream. That helped. They were good. If are you on the fence, try it with sour cream The server did off to give me another entree due to the level of the heat. Service from start to end was on point. We might be back. It's over an hour from my place

I've come here a few times now. The first time and even the second time nailed it. Last time I really felt I saw a downward turn to the effort/quality of the food. Today I got food to go for the kids and myself and was beyond unsatisfied. When you eat there the restaurant is cute. Tables are a bit small and due to the amount of plates they bring meals out on it can get crowded. Definitely recommend asking for a larger table than you might think you need. Now today we got fajitas sized for two. I was sad that they gave A TON of good onions and basically no peppers at all. Otherwise it was still tasty. One of my sons got the grilled cheese kids sandwich. It came with a fruit cup but no French fries. Really? So for some white bread, cheese and a $.50 fruit cup we paid $6.99? My other son got beef fajitas tacos. A photo for reference as when a menu says they put onions And cilantro I'd expect more than this. I will be back however it will be a chance.

We have been here a few times and every time we come we have a great experience. Clean, good service and food. We always share the large beef fajita nachos ($14) and get their roasted jalapeño margarita (which is hand made & consistently great). There is a large open bar seating as well as restaurant seating. Bar seating does offer some booths for those needing that type of seating. Music has never been overly loud. They do have a happy hour (check their site) but the margarita we have is $2 off (80s ladies--the days of ladies night is GONE ). None the less, we have met friends and family here, recommend and will return.

Our server (Bill) was amazing and although we have been here before - he guided us through the menu and showed us options that we had overlooked. It really helped that he had photos of the menu items he was suggesting and most (if not all of us) changed our menu selections based on his advice. The food was delicious!! And everyone throughly enjoyed every morsel. Top tip for a tasty appetizer - order the queso and then mix in one of the spicy salsa dishes (that comes complimentary with the chips and salsa).

First and last time at this place. Server was pissed that I dare to sit by myself. Ordered poblano pepper from the lunch menu pointing at it. Came out with a pepper skin on that I had to peel and beans out of a can. Oscar the server never came to check to see if food was ok. At the end he charged me dinner price cause he didn't know I wanted lunch he said. Sorry excuse since I even pointed at the lunch menu item

This is our favorite go-to Mexican restaurant. Highly recommend as you cannot go wrong with any choice on the menu. Recently we took a friend out for his birthday and the food was fabulous. I ordered the Pollo Parilla and the chicken was so tender and enjoyed this dish so much. My husband ordered Pancho's Shrimp, wrapped with bacon and grilled. He orders this quite often. Our friend ordered Flautas Loredo and he raved about them. I didn't get a photo of the pecan pie, but it was enormous and if you love pecan pie, this version is one of the best I've eaten. Give it a try. The ambience is pleasant and service is always attentive.

I noted their beautiful Mexican pots with fabulous plants around the establishment. We were seated and waited on quickly....ordered margaritas, which was a little bit difficult, because I don't understand Spanish and it seemed our waitress knew little English or we just could not understand her. This was frustrating, can you imagine how long it took us to order the meal. Once done when the chicken & steak fajitas came out fresh and sizzling. Chicken was tender and seasoned perfectly where the steak was tough & bland. The wrong beans were brought, but OH Well, no big deal They have a variety of dishes to select from. (See Photos of Menu) The establishment was handicapped friendly. Was clean on the inside and out. As we ate and drank our drinks, the waitress seated, a lady and her 2 children, one being a very young behind us. Immediately the baby started crying and no break, never quit. That was it for me !! Got a to go box and we were out of there. Lenise, my good friend said her sister loved the place, so now we can say .. we tried it. Hope you have better luck, have a good day.

This time I had the lettuce wrap that has chili garlic chicken bites, black beans & rice ($15). It was good and lighter so I wasn't too full to get back out in the heat for the evening. Good flavor. The lettuce leaves provided were too big/mush for the amount of meat given - only needed two leaves since they were quite large. Queso was good. Others enjoyed taco salad, brisket tacos, kids quesadillas, taquitos. Margarita was decent. For $15, I thought it would come in a nice glass or a plastic cup that hadn't already been used. (Mine had most the writing on plastic cup gone. Like they wash and re-use them).

Their salsa and bean dip were different than I've had at other Mexican places which was nice. We ordered the chile con queso which was nothing special and would not recommend. Tasted like regular ball park nachos and cheese. We ordered the chicken fajitas for two - I'll begin with their overly sized tortillas. I don't see the reason behind this and they don't provide enough meat and onions for the use of all 6-8 tortillas provided. Ideally you and another person will eat 3 total before the meat is gone. Now - WHERE THE HECK are the onions. We were provided with such a small amount that we had to proportion it so we each got some. Ideally, it would only serve one fajita with the size of their tortillas. They should really figure out the portions here. SECOND - for it not being busy not sure why our food took an hour before we received it. It's like they could only prepare one tables food at a time. Our server didn't apologize until she handed us the bill. Will not be coming back as there are better Mexican options around.

I got catering from here for a party of 25 and everything was so so SO good. And I used all the leftover beans and salsa (and sides of shredded cheese) to make with eggs for a week. And THAT was so delicious I started stopping in to get quarts of beans just for the purpose. On the other hand. The quarts of beans and rice are $15 each. Um. That's kind of ridiculous. I finally forced myself to break away from them because that's just too much. And on the other OTHER hand... after the catering thing, I was so enamored with the fajitas, I ordered the plates for dinner delivery a couple of times for me and my husband and... you guys. The menu says Fajiitas for 2 is 1 lb of fajitas. Wrong. The first time I got them I weighed out the meat and it came to 10-5/8 oz. I actually complained and the restaurant gave me a gift card as an apology. So I decided to order again. Omg. See photo. 9-1/8 ounces of meat for 2 people. Are you kidding me?? When I complained again, the manager tried to tell me that 1 lb was precooked weight. No. Even if that were true, beef yield across all cuts is 75-80%. It would be more than 9-1/8 ounces. But it shouldn't even be precooked weight. Everywhere else I order fajitas where they say "1 lb" I actually get 1 lb. So why Fresco's thinks it can get away with this utter nonsense - twice - and probably on a daily basis with other customers, is beyond me. I hate that Fresco's has such great food. Because I can't bring myself to go back and pay for two plates just to have enough meat for my husband and I to have a proper meal.
