I am writing this from the drive-through, as I've been here, 30 minutes now. When I pulled in, I was the fourth car from the order station. I am now the third car from the order station. The car behind me had to get out of their car and back up a sea of people so that they could leave. Not to be dramatic, but I am taking deep breaths and trying not to feel trapped. The food here is always amazing and consistent. That's for sure. But the last few times it seems to be taking longer and longer to get food. This place is nice good parking lot and system. If you're Gen X and you remember what Taco Bell was like in junior high high school or early college then you have found your new home for quick serve Tex-Mex. My favorite thing is the Chilada. Let me start by saying that adding a two-lane drive-thru clearly hasn't improved the wait times. If anything, it suggests the problem isn't the layout of the restaurant, it's the staffing or how the operation is being managed. For context, I eat an extremely clean diet 99% of the time. Fast food is a rare indulgence for me. In fact, over the past few years, I've probably eaten at fewer than ten fast-food restaurants. Every once in a great while, though, I get a craving, and this time it was for a crunchy taco. Taco Casa has always been known for its light, crispy taco shells, so that seemed like the perfect choice. Unfortunately, that excitement turned into complete disappointment the moment I opened the wrapper at home. Instead of the signature crisp shell I was looking forward to, I found a soggy, limp taco that had completely lost its crunch. The shell was so saturated that it had the texture of a soft tortilla, an unappetizing, messy disappointment. My husband had already picked up dinner from another restaurant for himself, and after the long wait in the drive-thru, I wasn't willing to make another trip just to replace one taco. I ended up scraping out the filling and eating only the inside because the shell was beyond saving. Considering the long wait and the poor quality of the food, this experience simply wasn't worth it. Wednesday evening, 6:44 pm, about 15 cars in the left drive through lane were serviced and left while the right hand lane had 5 cars that sat here about 30 minutes...very slow service on right hand lane. Take a lesson! read more

I went through the drive through Sat night 11/1. I ordered the super nachos with extra jalapenos and the chips and guacamole. Total came to $17.07 and I handed the guy a $20. He asked me if I wanted my change? I said well yeah, why wouldnt I? He said he asks everyone that. I said well you should quit asking that. I received no jalapenos, and 3 boxes. 1 had chips and guacamole, 1 had chips and cheese, the 3rd had a small helping of tomatoes, sour cream, ground beef and beans. Nothing like the super nachos that I remember from Taco Casa. I understand its through the drive through. Very disappointed. 1st time at this store and last time. Drive thru service was extraordinarily slow today, much slower than normal, and oddly, there weren't many cars ahead of me. The worst part though, my food was cold. I ordered the Super Salad, which is normally really good, but today it was so cold. I should have taken it back. Why the terribly long wait to end up serving cold food? I won't be back. read more

Y'all what in the world is happing to taco casa nowadays. At this point it's just a tortilla with air. Friendly staff but they got my order wrong then we get the right order and as Arby's says "where's the BEEF". Everything was empty. Taco Casa is one of those fast food places we don't have in Central Texas, so when I find one, I try to stop. Finding one on the way out of Fort Worth at lunch time made the decision easy. Service? Friendly enough. Tacos and Chili Burger? Reminiscent of when Taco Bell was good cheap Mexican food and not a paradise of strange combos for stoners. And like a friend of mine has noted, they don't skimp on cheese. Condiment area? Well stocked with taco sauce, sweeteners for tea, and lemon packets. Service? Disgusting. Ok. We walked in and the cashier made a joke about using a dirty rag to clean the counter... Her sleeves were rolled up to her arm pits... Then, a larger employee comes in with a short spaghetti strap shirt and DRIPPING wet hair and body... Not sure if it was sweat or a shower, she then put her taco casa shirt on very sloppy. My husband and I could just not get over the employees hygiene. The thought of that was stuck in our minds and we were just grossed out thinking about it the entire time we were eating. The thoughts of sweat dripping in the food or the cooks putting my nachos in a tray with dirty hands and no gloves.. all of it just grossed me out with each bite. The food was probably ok ... I'm pregnant and wanted taco casa so we came all the way to this location on a Saturday night because it says absolutely everywhere that they close at 1am. We get there at 11:40 and wait in line for 10 minutes. At 11:50 we finally get to the speaker to order and we're informed their they don't take Apple Pay after we called in advance and were told they took Apple Pay. So we go to multiple places in the area to get cash and get back in line. We come back at 12:01 and are told they're closed. So we got cash for absolutely no reason because they didn't feel like mentioning they closed in a few minutes. Literally anywhere you look says they close at 1am, google, Apple Maps and Yelp all say they close at 1am. At the VERY LEAST they could have said they close in a few minutes when mentioning the card machine was down. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I cannot stress enough that this isn't a hit piece, but people have to know about this. The other day I took my family and I to this location on the way to DFW international airport. And I have to say, we were very disappointed. The tomato's on our food were not fresh at all and were slimy. The taco shells were stale. I figured I was hungry enough to deal with it. After eating, I felt instantly ill. I ended up vomiting all of the food up in their bathroom. They refunded our entire order without question and apologized. They ensured us that the tomato's are fresh cut every morning. I just can't believe that was true. We were loyal customers of taco casa, but this location is by far was the worst experience we have had at ANY restaurant ever. I don't think we will ever go back to a taco casa again. Used to love Taco Casa but it must be under new management who thinks the customers are idiots...Said they are out of medium cups and all they have is small and large, get to the window and they give you a medium and charge for a large. You pay extra for meat for the nachos and they only fill half the cup. I'll give them one more chance. read more

Growing up in Saginaw Texas Taco casa was always a staple, we left saginaw a couple years ago and had cravings. We were excited to find this location that was a reasonable drive from our new rural location. We walked through the door and the place was filthy, the young man at the counter with a not so friendly "what do y'all want?" The food however was genuine taco casa, but as we went to leave that's when we found the most unpleasant surprise of all. The restrooms were absolutely DISGUSTING! I travel for a living and have seen cleaner restrooms in small town truck stops. They look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks. We will NOT be visiting this location again. read more

JEERS to Taco Casa. What happened? They used to be really good. I stopped eating tacos 11 months ago and decided I Really wanted a taco casa taco. I ordered inside for it to go. We left, I had the bag on my lap and grease was already seeping through the paper! We get home and its a complete grease slick, well crazy me thought...well we paid for them and I haven't had one in 11 months, I Still want it (thinking that somehow even with the grease it would be like the OLD TACO CASA..where the meat was light and almost fluffy...WRONG! Lets just say it was so heavily weighed down, my stomach was NOT HAPPY. Needless to say, we will not be going back. My husband fell ill as well. Do they have new owners or something? If you are in a hurry, the drive thru can be hit or miss, I frequently drive by and there is a huge line. I just go inside, especially when it is hot. Taco casa is like taco bell but with real meat, for a very generalized comparison. They don't skimp on condiments and cheese, which is nice. Also, unless they have changed it since last time I was there, you leave your tray of trash and they come get it, there are no self serve trash cans. This seems to be a place that you either love or hate usually, I personally feel neutral if it were on its own, but there are other places within a short distance I would rather get food from. read more

The food is typical Taco Casa--I'm a TC fan so I like it. The problem, (and it's a HUGE problem for me) is the line where the food is assembled is ALWAY FILTHY. In my teenage years I worked in a couple of taco places. I understand how hard, (but NOT impossible!) it is to keep everything clean during a rush. But why can't you grab a rag and give your area a quick wipe when you get a chance? Even when I have been in during a slow time, the line is filthy. There's no excuse!!! Does management not care??? So to be clear this is fast food mexican. You order at the counter. Its just your basics like a bean or beef burrito, beef taco etc. What i loved is its like old school Taco Bell... before they went way cheap on the ingredients. The taco light is a fried flour shell and is really yummy. I also love the chilada which is basically a beef and bean burrito covered in red sauce and topped with lots of cheese (used to be enchirtos at Taco bell way back when). I plan to go again! Much like an ex of mine, fast, cheap and easy...and maybe a little greasy. Some of the best fast mexican food in town. Think Taco Bell with real beef :) I can't get enough of the "Supers" on the menu - super taco, super burrito and super nachos. I have to point this out because I have seen it no where else. When you order nachos in the drive-thru, how oftern by the time you get to where you need to go are they still edible? Usually they are a soggy mess. Taco Casa actually puts the cheese in a cup on the side so you can pour the cheese when you get where you're going. Why hasn't everyone else figured this out? read more
