Food is ALWAYS cheap, fast, and great every time I eat there. Service is good too. Five stars!

Went today service was awful. The workers kept throwing dirty looks at us and all we wanted to do was leave. Food was mid never again.

My husband and I enjoy eating at Taco Casa. The service is great, the food is delicious and made well and with care. I cannot stand going out only to get a messy, thrown together hamburger. I've been trying Taco Casa to see how it compares to Taco Bell for me. 1. The Super Burrito vs. Burrito Supreme The Super Burrito I tried was better prepared than the Burrito Supreme. I saw more of a layered item look than the other place. The Burrito Supreme usually looks like it was put into a blender before serving. The Super Burrito not quite there yet. Either way, both taste the same. 2. The Taco Sauce- I really like Taco Bell's Fire and Diablo sauces but Taco Casa has a sauce similar in taste to Pico Pica one of the oldest most traditional Mexican Taco Sauces around. It's spicy. 3. Taco Bell Taco vs. Taco Casa Taco - this is one of the larger differences in my taste comparison. Taco Casa has the most authentic tasting shell but looks more like a mini me taco compared to Taco Bell's taco. Not to mention any of the Doritos Locos Tacos. Yum! Taco Bell puts more stuff in their regular taco (and that's not saying a whole whole lot) but I will be getting tacos from Taco Bell. Might pay more but you'll be getting a decent taco. 4. Chilada - My favorite Taco Casa so far. I don't know if Taco Bell has a comparable item but I fell in love with this item after tasting it. I ask for them to add more sauce to my Chilada but they can never seem to get that right. It has a comfort food feel to it even if mine always seems to be a little on the dry side. 5. Pintos and Cheese vs. Frijoles - Taco Casa is favorite here. Authentic tasting beans, more cheese more beans. Less $ Another comfort food and at a bargain. 6. Salsa - Mild and a bit sweet flavor. 7. Super Nachos vs. Nachos Bell Grande - Wow' Wow! Wow! I have been missing out. Super Nachos win this one Hands Down. Usually I'm still a bit hungry after eating a Nacho Bell Grande. Super Nachos couldn't finish. Super Nachos are a bit pricier but quality, quantity, taste and presentation (in my opinion) is worth it. 8. Super Salad vs. Fiesta Taco Salad - Super Salad beats Fiesta Taco Salad to a pulp. The Super Salad is Yuge! The price is comparable to other Fast Food Tex- Mex places. Difference is more fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I've had many Fiesta Taco Salads and normally get a small amount of lettuce and tomatoes, not at Taco Casa. read more

It's not often that I would rate a fast-food place 5 stars, but I think Taco Casa is deserving. It seems like it's, today, what Taco Bell used to be (a very, very long time ago). The menu is simple. Fresh vegetables. Cheese that is actually freshly shredded, not from a bag (and plenty of it). Ground beef also not from a bag and reheated. Items were all put together well, rather than haphazardly as tends to be the case with other fast food places. Order was correct, and staff nice. Crispy Tacos, Combo Burrito, Chiladas, Taco Lite, Chili Burger, and Super Tostada were all tasty. So if you loved the Enchirito (from Taco Bell), and the Taco Burger (from Taco Bueno), this is your one-stop shop for these two items! And FYI, in case you think Taco Lite means a lighter version of the regular taco--it's not. It's a deep-fried FLOUR tortilla and tastes similar to Taco Bell's Mexican Pizza. read more

I can only tell you my personal experience. I had never gone to this restaurant before. I went in the drive thru and ordered one meat burrito. I had to wait longer than expected, but I didn't complain. When I got my order, the person working the window was acting strangely. I couldn't put my finger on it, but he seemed reluctant to give me my order. I looked at it and pulled past the window. It didn't look great, but took a bite. There were only beans in my bite. I decided to park and check my order. I opened the burrito to find nothing but beans and that fake cheese. I went back inside for a refund. They seemed surprised to see me. It is my opinion they just expected me to drive away with what they substituted for my order. I had to wait several more minutes to get my refund. Don't waste your time here. It may be cheap, but if they can't get a one item order right, it isn't worth it. I contacted their offices via email, the person responding did not identify themselves and made a big deal that they didn't have a Brownwood location. As anyone who has ever been there knows, there isn't any difference as the two towns blend together. After their first snarky remarks, I haven't heard from them since. read more

Loooooooooove this place whenever we go thru Brownwood/Early we have to stop. The place is super clean and the food is always so fresh!!! The lettuce and tomatoes are always ice cold and crisp the cheese is so good!! Their nachos and Super tacos are amazing. The taco shells are so warm and crisp and we love the flavor of their meat. Their beans taste homemade in house and my favorite is their red sauce. The staff is super friendly and polite and they will accommodate anything you need. Their menu is simple and to the point. You can tell they concentrate on keeping the food good and fresh. Inalso love that no matter what time we come or when their food is always ON POINT 100% of the time!! read more

Customer service at the Brownwood location is essentially non-existent. It's sad because the food and value of the food is fairly good. When trying to order something like frijoles cut the sauce, it turns into an argument. Then, when you get your "special order frijoles, the red sauce is on the side and there is no cheese at all. Evidently, it's the hardest job in the world. Over the years, we've eaten at many Taco Casa franchises and Brownwood is the worst, hands down, in being customer considerate. If you're craving the Casa's food, do yourself a favor and use the drive through... might save you a bit of heartache (IF you don't want to "special order" anything). read more

Well I was very disappointed. The food was mediocre at best. I had never been in so I decided to stop tonight as it was on my way home. I ordered a sampling of items. 1 burrito. Very bland nothing to write home about. Size good and was filling. 1 order nachos. Again nothing to write home about. Cheese was particularly bad. Size was large, but did not want to eat so it really did not matter. 2 tocos. Bland filled to void. The hot sauce was not worth opening. I love this place, I eat here at least three times a week during lunch. My only complaint I really have is your employees you have at your drive thru window. They are lacking in personality, rarely do you get greeted with a smile. They give off the persona that we, your customers, are a bother to them. Everything is always fresh, and the quality is Great. The place is always clean. Owners are working every day and often serve and work the register. My family like it for a change. The chilatta is a favorite but be ready for the enchilada sauce. Burritos are large and hey don't short you on he meat. We ustu make a trip through the one in Stephenville when we drive through so when we got one here we were pleased. The owner has also been very supportive of local sports fund raisers! Everything tastes fresh and the restaurant is spotless and the staff is always so friendly. The chilada is great too if your extra hungry. Super cheap and big portions - it's easy to feed a crowd with very little cash here. The food is decent, and they get it out quickly. The facility is fairly clean and well kept and the employees are friendly. Great for large families and college kids! read more

I went there on Friday around 12:30, went through the drive thru, I ordered a super burrito and a soft taco, I was trying to decide what size drink to get, the guy taking the order said "if you want tea, it's the same price for medium or large" so I said ok I'll take a large tea, he said ok, I don't remember if he read the order back to me or not, but he said I'll have the price at the window. I drive to the window, he says its 8$ and change, I thought it was a bit much but I gave him my card, and he hands me a bag of food, and that's it. I said I ordered a tea, he's says "your order was 2 super burritos and a taco" I said "i ordered 1 burrito, a taco and a large tea" he mumbles a bit, implying I'm wrong, and then says "well can I have the burrito back?" I hand it back and he tosses it onto a counter. They fixed the price and I got some money back, then he asks if I wanted sweet or unsweetened tea, I say unsweet, he gets the tea and gives it to me and I leave, I try the tea and it's super sweet. So First he gets my order wrong, is rude about it and then messes up my drink. Food was ok, nothing great. Service from this guy was upsetting. Won't be going back. read more
