I just visited Schlotzkys last night and there was the best service I have seen in a long time from any restaurant in Brownwood. The nice young man kindly waited for us when we needed a second to look at the menu and he had a nice and respectful tone. And whenever our food was ready he brought it to us and continued to check up on us throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this buisness for eating. read more

Ordered online just before entering Brownwood. I had to wait about 5 min for them to finish making the calzones. Items were hot and yummy. 3 of us got calzones that were much larger than we all expected. We always enjoy going to Schlotzsky's for a great sandwich. We believe they have one of the best sandwiches. We do occasionally get to one where the service verrrrryyyyy slloooooowwww.... This was not one of those places. The restaurant was clean and well kept and service was quick. They now offer your adult beverage of choice - hopefully that's beer, or ummm - well, they have beer!!! I was driving and my wife wouldn't let me get one to go, so I settled for an Arnold Palmer (the non-alcohol one). Anyhoo - good sandwich and good experience. read more

Every time we stopped here to eat we always get fast friendly service and the food is always good. I recommend trying the loaded baked potato soup it's really good. Went in a couple weeks ago and went to get a raspberry Fanta and it was out. Told the young lady working the counter and her and another woman came out and took care of everything right away. This place was so Good before it sold recently.... They are always out of menu items. Today they let me order took my money and then told me they were out of product for my order. I have tried this location several times over several years time, Food is nothing special and customer service needs help. TIP : Assume all their pizzas automatically come with onions even if its not listed on the menu board. That's basically the best answer they could give me when mine was covered in onions. read more

I have no problem with the food here-I've loved Schlotzsky's since I was a wee lad. My ONLY problem that comes to mind is the soda machine with the touch-screen which is decidedly unsanitary. The old school drink machines were much less gross, because these touch screens are FILTHY with the FINGERPRINTS of god-knows-who from who-knows-how-long-ago. I'd like to talk with the genius who came up with these machines, because yeah-it's kinda neat to pick your poison from a fancy screen - but I don't wanna have to wash my hands every time I get a refill. Ordered 2 Turkey, Avocado Cobb Salads. We took our order home and discovered that there were no bread sticks. So I called and asked if we were supposed to get them with our salads. The young man on the other end said, "Yes." I said, "Well, we didn't receive any with our order." He said, " So, is that all?" I paused and said, "Well yes..."With which he responded, " Ok, bye!" And hung up! Then we decided to open our salads and eat them. Well, they had some disgusting, unidentifiable items in them.
