But the assistant from another location Leah McBride and another manager took it over and they fired a lot of their staff due to bad performance including cooks. Now Leah is the General Manager and a couple weeks ago I was requiring about her and I was told that she really has cleaned it up with new employees. So last night three of us went to surprise her because we missed seeing her. She is super sweet, friendly, and outgoing. You can't meet a better Manager or person. She will make sure that you are experiencing a great time and enjoying food and time with family and friends. I also got to meet a very sweet and friendly server named Jeannine who is a senior in high school. She is very good at her job filled with energy and a great personality and smile. She was quick at refilling our drinks and making sure we had what we needed. Of course they have all you can chips and salsa. Mondays through Thursday they have happy hour until six for different items we usually get one of their appetizers. Monday's they have a great special for $10.00. You have a choice of two enchiladas, tacos, or burritos. Or you can mix either two of the entree's with rice and either refried beans, charro beans. We like to add sour cream and tortillas with ours. And on Wednesdays they have Fajitas special for $14.95 you can't beat that price anywhere that I know of? And their fajitas are well worth it. About eight years ago, I moved down here from Denver. Left my family behind, didn't know when I'd see them again, and landed in a rough part of town trying to juggle rent and a mortgage. It was a grind. On the drive down, a buddy of mine texted me, "You've got to try Kincaid's when you get there." He used to swim at TCU, knew the area well, so I trusted him. First visit, I ordered the Cowboy Deluxe. Bacon, grilled jalapeños, pimento cheese. Took one bite and thought, yeah... this is it. As far as traditional burgers go, I'll say it straight: it's the best burger out there. No question. You can chase the fancy, over-the-top burgers around town, but Kincaid's doesn't need any of that. They just get it right. And honestly, during a pretty lonely stretch of life, that place became my spot. It helped me get through that first month without my family more than I expected. Great burger. Even better memories.
