The food was inexpensive, but unfortunately, the quality matched the price. The highlight? The hand-cut fries. At $4.50, the portion was huge and honestly delicious. My friend ordered them, while I went with the tater tots. When my order came out, I was surprised to find exactly twelve tots in the basket. I even went up to the window to check if there had been a mistake, but the staff counted them out and confirmed that twelve was the correct portion. Meanwhile, my friend's fries could've fed two people. Luckily, he shared some--those fries really were the best part of the meal. To their credit, the manager/owner stopped by our table to ask how everything was. My friend responded positively, and I mentioned the small portion compared to the fries. She acknowledged it but explained that I did receive the correct portion, and maybe my friend had just been given too much. I'm very disappointed, last time the driver dropped off food from La Madeline not from El Pollo Loco; that wasn't their fault. I called that time and went to pick up my order instead of having it delivered, the manager was super nice and replaced the order but that was the first encounter with El Pollo Loco. This one was the worst ever: I ordered from the website last night at 11:17 pm. Figuring I would get ahead of myself, I saw nothing updated at 3. I called to make sure they got the order and who I spoke with told me that they would write everything down, and to match it with the order that pulled up later. I called the store at 6:00pm to make sure that they had the order ready to go by 7:00 pm. The same person answered the phone and I asked did the order go through?! They said hello ?! Hello?! Then hung up.. I called 10 times afterward, making the grand total 11, each call ways being disconnected or going to voicemail. I called left voicemails no one bothered to call me back!! Very poor service, after spending over 100.00 (way too expensive for a meal) I got home and was missing two items. I tried calling the restaurant for 30 minutes until they finally answered the phone! The manager said he could not refund me the money on the missing items. Granted, it was only 8.00 but the principle of paying for food and not receiving is not acceptable. The Ms Agee said only the district manager could help me and I asked to have her call me. 2 days later no call. I called back again after three attempts the manager finally answered and said maybe tomorrow she would call me. Stuck at work one afternoon, I had an undeniable craving for grilled chicken. I looked up UberEats and opted for El Pollo Loco after seeing that my favorite chicken joint was not on there. I've been to this location once before and thought the food was just ok but cravings so I decided to give it another go. I ordered the four piece dark chicken meal. I was happy to see that broccoli was an option as a side. I wished more veggies were offered at my go-to place. The food order arrived correctly but I was really disappointed in the quality. The broccoli was half brown and half green in color. The chicken, though dark pieces, were dry and bland. It definitely did not have the flavor punch that grilled chicken should have. The avocado green sauce could not even save it. I did also get churros for a couple of my staff which they enjoyed. This second experience just confirms that I am not a fan of El Pollo Loco, at least not this location. Highly recommend my favorite chicken joint just one exit south of here instead. This restaurant is located in the Presidio shopping area in Fort Worth that I really enjoy because just about any store I'm looking for is in the area. I stopped in at El Pollo Loco for lunch. I like how healthy sounding the menu is. And I like how clean the restaurant is and that it was staffed with friendly employees. They accidentally delayed my order for chicken nachos and genuinely apologized and added chips and queso to my order complimentary. I actually didn't want the extra chips but I appreciated the gesture. I honestly didn't enjoy the chicken nachos simply because of the very low flavor profile. I like to really taste flavors and everything was pretty bland and I'm not a fan of chips with a thick texture. I just have a personal preference for crisp, thinner chips. Despite my opinion of my menu selection I think customer service is top notch. Thank you El Pollo Loco! read more

Unfortunately it absolutely did not get any better. We got two burritos and three tacos with the onions and cilantro on the side. we make it home and find that we did not get any onions and cilantro on the side as requested and both burritos had NO CHICKEN in them!! We had to use the chicken in the tacos to put them in our burritos. And once again, no sauces were provided. Have liked eating here in the past. This time was definitely different. Ordered the chicken avocado burrito. The chicken was obliterated. Some pieces were just char. It made the whole burrito taste of burned bitterness. The avocados were also very brown and looked rotten. When we went into the cafe to find a seat we had a hard time finding a clean table. The salsa bar was very dirty. The lady that took out order noticed this and gave us a salsa already in the little cup so we wouldn't need to get some at the bar.
