    Buffalo Chicken Taco
    Tim J.

I've had a lot of Tacos but I was blown away with the Buffalo Chicken tacos at Taco City. I added whatever orange habanero sauce that's in the picture and it was tasty and super hot! The blue Hawaiian margarita is also super tasty and sweet. We ate the bar and the service was speedy and attentive. The place has a lot of space and tons of seating, in the bar area and in the main seating area. It was very clean and had good lighting. The bathrooms were clean and nice as well. Looking forward to going back!

The grilled honey cilantro chicken taco is my favorite. Its only on the Taco Thusday menu.

We LOVE taco city!!!! Amazing food and drinks. It's one of our favorite spots in town. The margaritas are delicious. The best thing on the menu is their taco city dip. YUM!

Taco City has an amazing variety of flavors. You order at the counter. I asked the waitress for a suggestion and I am glad I did. The Korean taco was bursting with flavor! My friend had the brisket taco and the fried taco. She enjoyed both but said the brisket was her favorite. The menu has a great variety of options: tacos, burritos, nachos, and much more. The restaurant is welcoming and the music upbeat. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Taco Tuesday $2.50 for any of 4 different tacos! Small sign showing the Taco Tuesday options is at the ordering counter. I opted for a pork soft taco and a ground beef one & decided these would be my work lunch on Weds. I ordered the chicken flautas (Sp?) and an order of churros as part of my to go order. My order was ready in a reasonable time frame, and still warm once home, yay! I'd get less lettuce or no lettuce next time on the flautas as I had to search for them beneath shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, etc. The food is great, freshly made, and I got all 3 items for about $20 as a to go order.

Shared 1 huge chicken wet burrito!

Haven't been up to taco city for a while so my husband and I stopped in for a late lunch. We ordered 2 chicken wet burritos, queso dip and chips. The gentleman who took our order suggested we might want to share, as the wet burrito is large. We followed his suggestion, so glad we did -- that burrito is huge! He was gracious and plated it for sharing. Delicious! Cannot wait to go back for another one!

How have I NOT received this Taco City location yet? Probably because the experience and food keeo you present. So, going on your phone isn't a thought of the mind!!! Every and I mean EVERY menu item is built with love and intention. The food is made fresh with fresh ingredients. The bar is beautiful and the murals and atmosphere are rocking! The owner is kind and not afraid to get his hands dirty. Which, I appreciate!!! I am ever grateful that our neighborhood and Hikes Point plaza has a LOCAL business AND restaurante that is delicious, offers HEALTHY options, and is decorated with PASSION!!! BRAVA!

A great little place if you want wonderful Mexican food, friendly and quick service. We have came here a couple of times while visiting our daughter in Louisville. Our food has always been very good, spicy and tasty. Lots of flavors. This is taco week, so why not try taco city. they had a couple different tacos to choose from for $2.50 each. We tried the grilled chicken taco as well as the taco supreme with the ground beef. The grilled chicken was quite spicy. I believe it was the sauce that was on it. The ground beef was seasoned very well, and lots of toppings on it. I would highly recommend both of these. Until next time we're in Louisville... I'm sure we will return.

Finally got around to visiting Taco City Hikes Point. My friend and I decided to visit this location since it was too cold to sit outside the original location on Bardstown Road. I'm not putting them down however, Bardstown road location has great outdoor seating however the inside of that one is very cramped. The Hikes Point location is bigger and has more indoor space than outdoor space. TC- Hikes Point is located in the shopping center next to Kroger on Breckinridge Lane. It's more in the front facing the street and we had some trouble finding it but eventually found it. They have parking but it limited, you may have to park in the shopping center if they get real busy. We go in it's some busy but not very busy. Service was fast and friendly and we got our food in about a few minutes. They are as fast as the Bardstown road location therefore we get our food pretty fresh. The Margarita is actually thicker here, good thing too doesn't get as melted as fast. Food was delicious as always, my friend got the Giant Taco and I got the Buffalo chicken taco and chips and Queso that we shared. I forget they have margarita flights at this location vs. the other one and it is a most definite for next visit. We have no complaints about this location other than the Breckinridge Lane traffic, everything was perfect from the interior to the food. This is one of the 3 locations in Louisville and I definitely recommend visiting here.

My new favorite local restaurant! I just moved to the area and tried this place for the first time. I was so impressed by the staff- so kind and friendly and were cleaning the dining room the entire time. I was surprised by the quantity of food for the price. I will definitely be back again!

Per usual, this place is awesome. More spacious than the other locations and the decor is Instagram worthy. The service is always very fast and efficient. I have NEVER had my food messed up. It is the perfect start to a night out with fast service. The full service bar is another feature that has been elevated from the other location. The Margarita is still amazing as always. Make sure you stop by. They have happy hour too!!!

The Tacos were yummy and definitely a great deal for a Taco Tuesday special! I'd say pretty quick service as well. The only weird thing is that I asked for all corn tortillas and got one taco with a flour tortilla? Idk how this happened but nothing crazy I guess but I'll maybe come back someday to try a margarita during Happy Hour!

I could eat here everyday. The tacos are reasonably priced, plentiful, and delicious. There are 20+ tacos available but if I'm honest I stick the deliciousness that I know. I have had the chicken flaunta before and it's pretty good too. What's better than their tacos do you ask...their margaritas?! They have a happy hour. I have tried several flavors and they have all been good!

I had been wanting to go for quite some time to try the Birria because I heard it is so amazing, and it really lived up to the Hype! Oh, did I mention they have the viral soft serve margaritas!?!?! I got the strawberry, it was so pretty, excellent presentation and absolutely delicious! I will say it was more like a dessert to me and I would have preferred to have it after my meal instead if before but that's just me. We got there between 6:30 and 7:00 and it was really busy, luckily our friends got there first and grabbed a table. They had already had a round of drinks while waiting on us but it took a while for anyone to come over to greet us or refill their drinks but again it was busy and everyone was helping everyone. We ended up splitting the birria platter and still had plenty of food to take home which we just ate last night as leftovers and were still absolutely fire!! I think the egg roll and quesadillas were my favorite over the tacos bc I love the melty cheese. I also ordered a small side of queso which was surprisingly a little spicy which I really enjoyed. They even surprised us when my BIL ordered a small margarita and it came out in a fish glass (see photo). It was so unexpected but also so cute at the same time ... it's really the little things like this that bring joy, okay? LOL This place was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to try it again.

We were leaving for the second leg of our trip and were running late, as usual. We decided to run across the street for a sit down lunch, what's another hour? Two smiling faces greeted us at the door. They offered a high top but my hip was absolutely not digging it nor a table up the flight of steep stairs. Once seated, we were greeted promptly and had water in front of us almost immediately. We each ordered soup and then a sandwich to share. I had the Sopa de Pollo . A hot bowl thick with thin noodles and lots of chunks of chicken. The chunks were too big to eat without being cut up which was a challenge in a bowl of broth. It was so hot that I had to wait a while to try it and even then had to blow on it. It was delicious. Unless the soup is your meal, order a cup. I still took nearly a pint of soup back with me. My husband ordered the Frijole Negro - a huge bowl of black beans that was served with a large pile of raw onions on top. Like the chicken soup, it was burn your mouth hot and a very large serving. He said it was good but he'd not order it again. Moving on to the sandwich. We had the Cubano. I'm not even going to describe it - just trust me - order the Cubano. Do not look at the rest of the menu - order the Cubano. Don't even bother looking at the ingredients, just order the Cubano. Have you ordered it yet? Do it already. The Cubano is huge. We split one half and had the other when we arrived at our next stop. Do consider that we had soup first; otherwise, we'd have eaten the whole thing. The accompanying plantain chips were worthy of their own review. They were wonderful. Who knows if and when we'll be back to Louisville but when we are, La Bodeguita will be the first place we stop. BTW, have you ordered the Cubano yet? What are you waiting for? Put your phone done and order it! Enjoy!!
