So my sister brought me here for the first time. It's literally a hole-in-the-wall place, and let me tell you, I'm so glad they did. The tacos and food here are amazing. I had their Barbacoa tacos, and I'm really picky with my Barbacoa--I don't like a lot of fat, and they told me they trim off all the fat. Let me tell you, when I had them, these were delicious, really good tacos. They have a wide variety of tacos, and their chorizo tacos are delicious. They also have burritos and pretty much everything you can think of--all made from scratch. I also tried their chicken quesadillas, which, if you like cheesy, gooey chicken quesadillas, these are fantastic. I highly recommend coming here and checking them out. Like I said, they're really small--parking is on the street, with a few spots in front. It's right next to the USPS distribution center, so it's very convenient. Customer service needs huge improvement with cashier on DAY shift! I decided to take a trip over to one of my favorite taco spots to eat. Mind you, it's 20 minutes out of the way. So got there, stood in line Just be to be told debit card machine down. Really didn't want this to be a wasted trip? So I GPS'd nearest WF huge sigh, anxiety hits headed downtown. After obtaining cash, I decided to park and call Taco City Y Mas to place the order over the phone so that I wouldn't have to wait too long once I got there. 1st call, the phone rang 3-4 times then I got a message i could not make outbound calls?? 2nd & 3rd call got the same message, ugh. 4th call the young lady working the cash register answered and asked me to hold, now I WAS NOT placed on a hold so I could hear her talking to customer taking orders but once I got to 5 mins of waiting I no longer could hear her and customers talking, I could only hear back ground noise. After 8 mins of holding and yelling hello into the phone there was no response so I hung up and drove the 9 mins back to their location. Upon driving up there was only 1 car in their parking lot. I went up to the window and asked her, why did you leave me on hold for 8 mins plus and her response was she was taking orders and I had hung up she stated rudely, she also stated she had been taking order while I had been BLOWING up her phone. Mind you the first 3 calls I made i keep getting the message "I cannot make outbound calls(??)" But evidently, she was getting my calls and hanging up on me. Sooo yes, very very very POOR customer service, the company's business is about making money and not running off loyal repeat customers as myself. When I complain I come with receipts. See photos. Management or owner you can confirm what I say, you can check the time orders were placed 4/9/25 12:46pm - 12:54pm. Found this taco stand on my way to the post office. Great selection of dishes, reasonable prices, and great for pick up orders. They give you a lot of salsas to go and even the tortillas are well seasoned. If you are just stopping by you can sit outside on the picnic benches. Overall, I'd rate this place a solid 4.5. The only issue is that there is no inside seating. Parking is horrible and the wait is 15-20min. My family got 2 orders of the birria taco plate, "roasted" elote, the baked potato with pastor, and a lemonada agua Fresca. I saw the reviews about how long it takes, so I ordered online. Took about 45 minutes for the order. Food was ready when I got there. The birria tacos were disappointing. They didn't have a lot of flavor and surprisingly the meat was a bit dry. The consome was just okay. My son bit down on some weird plastic in his taco. The "roasted" elote wasn't roasted at ALL. It was more like boiled corn on the cob. No cilantro and not a lot of flavor. The beans had good flavor. My husband said his potato was good but the pastor was way too fatty. There was more fat than meat. My Lemonada Agua Fresca was the best part of the order. It was really good. Not sure we'll be back to try other items. $17 for the birria plate would have been okay if it wasn't so disappointing. read more

We were craving some good tacos and looking up spots around Dallas, and found ourselves drawn to this location because of its birria tacos. We decided to give it a try. It's a very small location with a small staff and only a few outdoor tables, so when there's a lot of people ordering, the wait can be a little while. I'm not complaining though, because the tacos are worth the wait, and they work hard inside to get them out as quickly as they can and with quality work. For such a small location, it can draw quite the crowd of people trying to pick up orders in the evening! We waited over thirty minutes one time, but it was still well worth the wait to receive them. The main thing we came here for were the birria tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. The birria plate comes with rice, beans, and consume, as well as three of the tacos. The meat is incredible and cooked to perfection. The thick cheese melts and your mouth and is an amazing feeling. The consume and salsa are the final satisfying touches. The salsa is pretty spicy, but not crazy spicy. It's perfect! The other menu item I love ordering here are the gorditas. They come filled to the brim with meat and cheese, with a hefty amount of toppings and salsa on the side. Very satisfying! This is a small operation, with a window to order from and a few outdoor tables. When its crowded, the wait can be a while, but the quality of the food is well worth it. The meat was tough, the tortillas were soggy and there was no flavor to them! The rice and beans are typical and "okay". The agua Fresca sandia was very good but the large for $5 was 75% ice and it was gone in 4 swallows. Multiple customers including myself had to keep asking if our orders were ready. I literally sat in front by the window and he only called one order the entire time. So when I finally checked on my order after multiple attempts it was just sitting there already getting cold. I advised that we cannot hear the numbers and said he and his coworker had been calling them out. I advised I've into heard him once and replied that the music is and that's why. However as stated I'm literally sitting at the window watching. Also BEWARE they charge a 3% credit card fee that is neither posted nor stated prior to paying! A rip off!
