    TACO TUESDAY!!
    Travis S.

New Taco Tuesday menu is off the chain. Great service. New bar and same delicious street tacos.

We went in for a couple tacos and frozen margaritas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat at the tiny bar but they also have tables in the dining room and a cute patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The margaritas were tasty. Our favorite taco was the chicken lamb brains which had great flavor. Took off one star just because the tacos were particularly expensive and particularly small and the tortillas were not home-made.

This review comes from some one who loves TACOS and is from LA. I eat tacos pretty frequently and while on my trip to Dallas tacos had to be on my list to eat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are some tables inside. Pretty clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a bar area. Pretty simple menu. You order at the counter even for dine in and pay for it first then they bring the food out to you. Ordered: *Suadero taco *Pastor taco *Cabeza taco *Gucamole and Chips Out of everything we ordered, the suadero was the best tasting taco out of all the meats we tried. The guacamole didn't taste seasoned. Just as if you took the avocado and smashed it. The food is a bit expensive if you ask me. You order at the counter first and then they bring the food to you. I would only recommend the suadero other than that I would say this spot you can skip. Tips: *Credit card accepted *Restroom for customers *TV available for viewing *Parking lot shared with other businesses. *Indoor seating only

    Breakfast tacos!

If you know, you know. El Come is probably the best breakfast taco in town. You can mix and match however you want. Tell them how you'd like it and they'll do it. Amazing. More traditionally, the street tacos, fajita, onions and cilantro on two corn tortillas is killed. Menu is extensive and every thing on there is great. Friendly staff with great prices makes it even better.

Fish, Beef, Chicken Tacos, Chips + Guacamole Pretty solid casual taco spot! Nice and affordable, and very tasty! Chips and guac were good too. Close to medical center!

Fajita (steak) taco & breakfast taco with chorizo
    Liz H.

I got the Fajita taco & breakfast taco with chorizo, Jaimaica agua fresca and chips and salsa. The tacos were great! The fajita taco was amazing and after adding the salsa verde, it was soo delicious had a lot of flavor to it! I ended up ordering another one because it was so tasty. The breakfast taco lacked some flavor in my opinion but was still enjoyable to eat, I probably just wouldn't order it again. Salsa was amazing and tasted super fresh and was spicy! I will definitely come back!

We've been here 3 weekends in a row. Flavorful home cooking. It's a convenient location near White Rock Lake, so a good quick food option after a long run, bike ride or walk through the lake. Michoacán style tacos & tortas, delicious dark red roasted chili salsa. Recommend the breakfast torta & all of the tacos - especially lengua, mahi, and pollo abodado with cactus & potato Great variety. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also a good spot to watch La Liga or EPL matches on the weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nice folks

Awesome tacos. We got an assortment of street tacos, chips and salsa and a margarita. Food was super simple but very well done.

    Pastor & Breakfast Taco
    Coey J.

The food is always good here. Pastor taco is my favorite. Can't really go wrong with anything here. Especially the drinks. 3 stars for the service. The other times I've been here the service was fantastic. We asked for cups of water and they said that they don't do that here. They said we would have to buy bottles of water if we wanted it. The last few times we've been here we got cups of water no problem. The staff just wasn't that friendly this time. This is why I do believe you need to go to a restaurant many times as people can have off days. It's definitely worth it to try the tacos as they are really good.

Best Tacos in Dallas!!! Hands down, best REAL tacos I. Town. And their salsa verde is on point! Order at the counter and they quickly deliver your food. Fast prompt service every time. They also have a projector showing games on a wall, as well as another TV mounted. Small little full bar. Nights like tonight they were packed with a line almost out the door, yet they still delivered food fast!

    Beef Taco

10/10 - food and service. Ordered beef and pastor tacos, chips and guacamole (best guac I've had). Will definitely come back to try more.

Came here on a random night with a group of friends. It was an amazing night - the drinks are so insta-worthy! I cannot remember for the life of me what the drink I ordered is called but you can pretty much order any specialty cocktail here and expect a really cute presentation. One thing that has stuck with me since that first visit is the beef quesadillas. Something about the cheese to grease ratio just resonated with me and has lived in my mind rent free ever since. This is a great spot for a small group of friends looking for a memorable night with lots of photo opportunities and cute drinks.

Okay... have to admit.. the tacos are better here than I've had in LA. Flavorful and not greasy. Hella chill establishment, clean Friendly service - order at the counter and they will bring to you fairly quickly. Marinated pork house taco with cactus, potato & grilled onions was def one of my favorites & the crispy tripe Another foodie adventure with a happy tummy

Back plate: Texas taco $4.50 Front plate: pastor and fajita $2.99, fish 4.50, street corn 4.50

    Do they still serve chapulines?

    yes they do

There are two photos under this restaurant that show crickets covered in sauce? Umm, what's up with that?

Taco de Chapulin are a specialty of this place. I had some last week and they are interesting. Crunchy and tangy.

It was my first visit, and it was absolutely worth the wait. I've seen all the Instagram posts, and I finally got my chance to experience it for myself. The food was delicious, the ambiance was beautiful, and the bartender was even kind enough to take my picture. From the service to the vibe, this place exceeded my expectations. It will definitely be one of the first places I think of for a date night!

No…read morereservation...just a walk party of 6 and they had a table for us...as long as we could be out by a certain time...about an hour and a half after we walked in. We were there to eat so if they were going to wine and dine us in that amount of time, we were there for it!! Everything was delicious, everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks and we are so glad we found this location and made it happen! I was looking forward to dinner here the entire day and it was worth it!! We had the queso blanco...it's got a kick...worth it! My wagyu fajitas were perfectly cooked medium rare and soooo flavorful!! I was my dessert in my pjs back at the hotel...the sopapilla cheesecake and ice cream held up perfectly and was everything I wanted it to be!! It's a dark atmosphere in the bar area, but the vibes were so cool. It wasn't too loud to where people were having to scream to converse...but it was not intimate where you could talk across the table softly with the other person hearing. A few important notes though: this place is SUPER loud, especially upstairs, so if you are trying to take your older parents somewhere for a nice dinner where you can actually catch up and have a conversation, this might not be the spot. Also, avoid the upstairs dining room if anyone has mobility issues. The stairs are a little sketchy in that dark space because you basically have to TRUST there is another stair step in front of you even though you can't see it. And a heads up, do not wander into the wrong bathroom upstairs like my husband did because the "men's" and "ladies" signs upstairs are also nearly impossible to read in the dark! But honestly, those are really my only complaints... The service and food were both very good. We had a couple of ordering fumbles. We got the regular queso, and then immediately watched another table get the tableside flaming queso and we were seriously bummed. Like, really bummed. That is definitely what I will be ordering next time. The chips and smoky salsa were excellent!! - and I always appreciate when everyone gets their own little portion of salsa so everyone can double dip without feeling like a heathen. I ordered the wagyu fajitas (the half portion), and it was still easily enough food for two people. I will say the meat was more like a filet mignon texture and less like the flavorful fajita meat I was expecting. My friend's pork fajitas were actually much better and had more flavor. When the manager stopped by to check on us, I had to announce my own birthday because apparently my friends were not going to help me out with that (some friends, huh?). They brought out a complimentary sopapilla cheesecake with a candle, which was a very nice touch. All in all, I loved the place and totally understand the hype. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time. There is valet parking, but we found easy parking across the street. I cannot wait to come back and try that flaming queso!

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. It was glorious and bountiful--there was ample dressing, cheese, and other ingredients I'm forgetting that made it unique. Unfortunately, during our second visit, the Caesar salad was significantly different. I think they used the same dressing, but there was very little of it. There was nearly no cheese and the other ingredients were similarly sparse. It was still good, but it in no way was the greatest I'd ever tried. I hope that this was a 1-off experience, as it truly was the best. I will report back next time. Service was great both times- they were very careful about my Cilantro request (none) and even though they gladly prepared dishes without it, they also made a list of things that already had none by default. Salmon ceviche, Pork al pastor, Carne asada, and the machete were also very good. The machete is a specialty- it had the house made masa and fillings can vary.
