Solid taco spot in DFW. I really enjoyed the carne asada and barbacoa. Meats were super tender and flavorful. Also the hongos taco (mushroom) was amazing too! Super meaty and marinated well. We ordered to-go in store and everything was packed with sauces and onion & cilantro. I also ordered a cup of the elote which was solid. Service was pretty good, it is a little loud so it's hard to hear your name but they are good at finding your order. Would be a great spot to watch sports games and eat! Honestly if you don't want to wait, ordering online and paying a bit more is definitely worth it for to-go.
Chilangos is always the answer! I love the pollo tacos here. They are so juicy and seasoned. I also like the asada tacos. I always get flour but it is an up charge for flour. This time I got a margarita Togo and it came in a cute little pouch! This location is always busy so be prepared for that.
No frills just great taco's. You walk in and order and sit. They call your name and you pick up your order. The service was fast and friendly. The churros with different sauces was excellent. They only serve bottled drinks. The prices were fair, all taco's under $3. My personal favorite was Campechano.
Dependable taco spot with bright interior decor. Upon walking in, the line wraps around to the door, but the employees move fast. My group of three ordered eight tacos and elotes. Finding a seat was difficult-- there were open tables, but you have to squeeze through other parties. They have a complimentary sauce bar and roasted peppers, which includes "guacamole" as their mild sauce. Their guacamole is more thin and saucy, not like a chip dip. The sauces aren't too spicy, but the peppers definitely give you that kick. Of our tacos, we did not love the chorizo as it was too oily. We also wish they had other options like lengua or tripe, but this taco spot is more corporate than hole-in-the-wall. As for the service, the chefs will call your order name to grab your tacos and you add the sauce yourself. Employees walk around to wipe down tables, but as a fast-casual restaurant, you are responsible for putting away your plates and trash. Another party accidentally shattered a glass bottle, but nobody came out to clean the broken glass for the entirety of our meal. Nonetheless, we would come back and try the churros!
Signature ribeye on flour with cheese for the win!!! The best taco I've had in a long time! I should have ordered three more for dinner! The flavor on this taco was amazing! I added the green salsa but it didn't even need anything extra! That's what always good food a leg up when you don't have to add extra sauce for flavor! The food came out very quick! I want to try the el pastor n chicken again on the flour, not crazy about the corn taco. Ambiance was a normal, nothing too fancy. But you come here for the food!
My friend and I came here to get a few tacos as a late light lunch. The staff were quick and nice. I had a Barbacoa taco and the signature ribeye. Without onions and cilantro because I don't like those. The ribeye was OK. I don't need to eat that again . The Barbacoa was more filling. But the churro. Omg. They were really good and delicious. I love how they had two dipping icing for us, strawberry and caramel. We had these to go and they were packaged very well and they stayed warmed on our 7 to 10 minute walk back to our destination. There was a lot of tables and chairs just looks like a really good place for big families or hangouts. But next time I think I'll try their other tacos. The ones I had were mediocre. The parking is out front and free.
I love the inside and decor of this place. It's very employees cooking the food, and the meat stand, where they carve the meats, they make fresh churros, their Beria tacos were amazing. All of the tacos. I tasted were really good. They have a lot of different flavors they are queso was really delicious. I definitely recommend a spot if you're looking for some delicious tacos you will not regret it.. The employees were friendly, impatient as well.
The carne asada and the pastor were good. I appreciate the great service from the ladies who took my order and the manager, who quickly replaced two of my tacos when I told him the meat was hard and overcooked. They were perfect the second time around. The Jamaican aqua Fresca was also really good, too! I'll be back!
I've seen Chilangos tacos on different occasions and always see an abundance of traffic in their parking lot. A clear indication that the food must be good. There's only a few places that I stop at for tacos and after my experience here. I can surely add Chilangos to the list. This location is in a shopping center off Ross Avenue near a 7/11 and china buffet . Upon entering , the order line cuts into the entrance way. Pretty fast service for the most part , and they got my order right .lot of different options to choose from like quesadillas , tacos and desert options. Horchata and Limonada beverage were some attractive options outside of the mexican cokes . Chilangos Merchandise like hats and shirt are available to purchase in the order line. I ordered carne asada and chicken flour tacos to go. Cilantro , limes and onions were fresh. Tacos were delicious and well seasoned. The flour had a nice buttery finish to them . Green and red sauce(spicy) were available in packets . The pickup order station also has self serve sauce to add. The quesadillas were smaller than I imagined but still overall good too. Pretty dope spot. I look forward to trying different options here .
The food is good , but for the 3rd time I ORDERED MY QUESADILLA WITH MUSHROOMS! And for the 3rd TIME THEY Weren't there!! I don't know why the person in charge don't check the orders to make sure everything is okay. Plus the salsas next time make sure and just SEND ME AIR !! And some scissors since is hard for me to open them, i hate the new "concept " and they don't even care , i think the food is pricey for them not take the time to make everything right! I even told my husband tell them to make sure they put the mushrooms.. Only 2 salsas out of 5 were good amount, for 10 tacos, 2 quesadillas and 1 costras , wow just wow !! Pls we left good tip for them no doing their job right, all yall need to do is making sure the order is right and complete..

First off, the food was excellent. The ribeye tacos stood out, and the elote was some of the best I've had. I'll skip the pastor and chicken quesadilla next time, and try and get the birria tacos if I'm there on a Sunday. I didn't get a picture of churros but they were the best I've ever had. Crunchy and flavorful. Service was fast, but the calling of your name (to pick up the order) is super low. I don't know how my friend heard our name. Ambiance is loud, but I was also there during the Mexico WC game, so that's understandable. The place was lively and fun. read more
Chilangos Tacos (Dallas) is a local taco joint in North Texas that has now become one of my favorite taco joints in all of DFW. There are multiple locations in DFW, and this review is for the Chilangos in Dallas off of Ross. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The two Chilangos locations I've been to are both located in strip malls with a bright, neon "Chilangos Tacos" sign above the entrance. Inside, there's reggaeton music, tons of patrons, and ESL here. Once you place your order, grab a Jarritos, a bright red metal seat, and watch the staff cook your tacos to order. 1 Star. Service - The staff are very friendly and efficient. It really helps if you speak Spanish, so go with someone who does, or point to the menu item you want. Once you place your order, grab a seat and wait for your name to be called. The staff is super nice and efficient, and our order was available in about 5 min. 1 Star. Food - Birria Quesatacos with consume. Memorize it and order it. Kudos to my son who swears by this dish. I am now a believer. The tender seasoned shredded birria beef is so flavorful. The quesataco style melts the cheese into the corn tortilla. And when you take some diced onion and cilantro to top it, dunk it in the consume before biting into the most flavorful taco served in DFW. According to the menu, this dish is only available on the weekend, but I've used food deliver services to get my consume fix during the week so YMMV. Bottom line, it's not just the best item on the menu, it's the best taco bite in all of DFW. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Chilango Tacos is expanding in DFW. There are now multiple locations in all of DFW so there should be a location near you. Chilangos Tacos is now in my weekly rotation. 1 Star. read more
Tacos were cool, the level of noise and the amount of people's butts you have to see while your eating is INSANE. They have no sort of way for folks to wait in line EXCEPT their hovering over your table while your eating, it's weird very uncomfortable if you are the unfortunate one who had to sit by the door, it got so bad we left and went to eat in the car. The place is Insanely loud, you can't even hear your thoughts let alone the person you came to eat with. If they have a drive through, I would definitely be back, the food takes FOREVERRRR Hard pass read more

From start to finish, everything was excellent--the food, the vibe, the service, and the premises were all on point. I came in with a group of 15 people and Marcela, the manager, who truly went above and beyond. If you're looking for amazing tacos and an authentic experience, this is it. I don't want to sound like a granny, but wow this place is LOUD. And not the fun kind of loud where you lean in for a conversation...this is full-on yell-at-the-person-next-to-you and break out hand signals to order your food loud. Honestly, if I knew sign language, this would've been the place to use it. Now, on to the good stuff. The food? Spectacular. We popped in just for a snack and left dreaming of round two. I ordered the pastor quesadilla and some churros. Hubby ordered the pastor las costas, which was the clear winner. That glorious pastor meat was first wrapped in a full cheese skirt, then hugged by a tortilla--absolute genius. The churros were also top-notch, served with two dipping sauces: one dulce and one strawberry. My only churro gripe? They cut them into pieces. I want one L-O-N-G churro I can shamelessly inhale. We'd love to come back for the weekend-only birria tacos, but I'm not sure if my ears can take the music again. I had a great experience ordering online from Chilangos. The value was great- I felt like I got a lot of great food for very cheap. I started off with the chips and queso which were well flavored. I then got a barbacoa taco, an al pastor taco, and a campechana quesadilla. All of them were excellent but the quesadilla was definitely my favorite. The cheese, meat, and tortilla melded together very well on this one. Overall, I would come back here and try more of their items. note- there was a free parking lot with plenty of space. read more

Great atmosphere, Spanish mostly spoken and heard. Friendly counter service. Large self seating dining room with quick turnovers of tables. On this visit, their weekends only "Birria Tacos" were filled with tasty meat with only a trace of cheese in three very crunchy fried corn tortilla shells; the standout though was their absolutely delicious aromatic consume dip of which I'd come back for! I'm familiar with tacos and getting tacos in Mexico so I had high standards coming in. The meat was nice and tender so not chewy. The tortillas were nice and moist. I loved the self serve salsas, they were fresh. Service was good. They call out your name once your order is ready. It took a while to receive food though. I opted for the pastor and fajita tacos and they were actually really good! Not sure why it took me so long to come try this place out but I'm glad I did. Their mango margarita was really tasty as well. The place is small so you do feel kind of rushed when you see the line starting to build up. read more

Came here for a work lunch to celebrate admin day! It was super busy and we had to wait a bit to find some chairs. The restaurant itself is small, but the food is definitely great! The ambiance is very casual and its for anyone. I ordered 2 pollo tacos and 1 barbacoa taco on corn. I enjoyed it very much and all the salsas were great! The chips and queso was also a banger as well. My coworkers all enjoyed their meal and would all love to come back! read more

We always go to this place any time we visit Dallas! It's a whole damn vibe no matter what time of the day you go. Lines, food and service is quick. Thank u Edson for making us feel at home. The mango chamoy Margarita!!!!!!! Start there please, you will not regret it. The tacos honestly hit too, I really liked the carne asada taco, if you want a wild ride add the red sauce. The homemade churros were also a winner too. This place was PACKED on a Friday night so much so it was almost impossible to get a place to sit, a lot of people taking things to go but I did notice as people were waiting for their food, there would be tables that opened up. read more

Wow. The tacos here send me to my happy place. Tried the carne asada, suadero, and pastor tacos. Possibly best tacos I've ever had. Really liked the guac sauce and the mid-range red sauce. Also tried the asada quesadilla - really good as well. I enjoyed the churros. They came with a strawberry sauce and caramel sauce. Fresh, crispy, and sweet. Good deal if you buy larger quantities of churros. Perfect for a family. Prices were also reasonable for the amount of meat in the tacos. I was impressed. Service was patient, friendly, and helpful. Place was decorated well. Fun and clean atmosphere. I'm coming back regularly. read more

Tried the chicken tacos, quesadillas, and chips with queso--everything was delicious! The tacos are small (about 6 inches), so grab a few. Super flavorful, quick service, and friendly staff. Will definitely be back! Located inside the exchange food hall, so plenty of seating! read more
