    Tacos & rice/beans
    Thao N.

Didn't even know this places existed...it's located in a lonely corner next to Nordstrom on the emptier side of the mall. Nice option for a quick & cheap bite if you're on the run or craving Mexican food. Honestly, Cactus's quality isn't any better, you just have a nicer place to sit at. I think it took me so long to finally try out this place was that I thought it only served seafood due to the name, but they have plenty other meat or veggie options. The other Mexican chains like Taco Bell, Taco Time, Chipotle, Qdoba are slightly better, but this isn't a bad choice. I liked how they have 2 different type of beans; black, pinto, & my favorite refried!!! Too many places are doing the healthy hipster trend and not have refried, but what's the point? Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

I don't know if I have ever eaten here! So good!

My daughter and I were shopping at Belle Square and she wanted to eat here. Now that you can actually sit down, we stopped in. She got the ground beef burrito (not a lot of places offer that) and for like an extra 1.25 or something like that, you can get your burrito smothered in queso or enchilada sauce. Everything was extremely fresh and my daughter and I were surprised at how much our food resembled that of an actual restaurant. I know these places are your grab and go, but they have more of a restaurant atmosphere rather than a McDonald's type atmosphere, if that makes sense. The worker was very nice while making our food and helped me decide on what to get, etc. I got the fish tacos and OMG! They were so good. Perfect actually and that doesn't happen very often. The fountain drinks are still out of commission but they do have refrigerated drinks. Overall, a great experience, a great lunch with a great girl!

    Don't do it.

Muy Mal. The portion of extra guac was a joke, the meat was cold, the sauces bland. Everything requested was added begrudgingly, at a cost, with a smirk and worsened when the super stale bitter Tostada bowl was brought back. I visited here unintentionally, at the bequest of a loco cow orker...even he had mutterings about this his fave fast food chain. Never again, muchachos. blargh.

The prices are higher here then anywhere else. WORST TACO DEL MAR I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! when you read "$8 burrito" on there sign read carefully! the $8 does not include meat!!!!!! like really?! with chicken my total was $9.63. everyone knows chipotle and Qdoba are much better options but I usually choose del mar because its a $5.50 burrito instead of $8-9. but not here! dear taco Del Mar; your food is not nearly as good as chipotle or Qdoba so where do you get off charging the same price or higher then them?!? also the staff were extremely rude. I know it was the lunch rush but throwing the scoop of rice sloppily down at the burrito splattering it everywhere was extremely disrespectful. Then when I was choosing extras to put on he literally told me to hurry up! like for real?! and just to make everything worse when I unwrapped my burrito to eat it it was wrapped so poorly and messy I had to take it apart and eat it with a fork. Horrible place, horrible staff, horrible management.

In such an upscale mall as Bellevue Square, the option to have food without it costing an arm and a leg is definitely appreciated. Taco Del Mar is here and it's a fast food restaurant that's not terrible. There is a McDonald's store in the mall, but screw that place. If I want a quick bite while I'm here and I don't feel like paying more than seven dollars for it, I'll probably come here. Taco Del Mar has gone downhill in terms of quality, though. They used to have these delicious bonfire BBQ burritos for five dollars. They don't have those anymore, and their mondo burritos are now $5.69, much to my annoyance. That's like Subway no longer having five-dollar footlongs, but oh well. Their burritos also don't seem to taste as good as they once did. But for a relatively cheap and somewhat filling snack, I don't feel entitled to complain too much.

I had the Nachos (fully loaded). Usually when you eat out like this the server will ask how you want this or that, I.e. black beans or pinto? I told the guy to make the nacho the way he likes it. It was great! He knows his stuff. I just moved here from California and was worried the Northwest wasn't going to have good Mexican food. I'm happy I found this place.

This is easily one of the best fried calamari dishes in town and worth every penny. I wished the jalapeños had a bit more heat, but the flavor and texture were incredible. * Baja Chimi: The sauce on this was phenomenal--so good that next time I visit, I'm going to see if I can get this sauce on nachos instead of standard cheese! Mixed feeling: * Quesabirria Taco Plate: The consommé was rich, deeply flavorful, and great for dipping. However, the birria meat inside the tacos was on tougher side and chewy rather than tender, which held the dish back. The Misses: * Fish Ceviche: The biggest lowlight--the fish was surprisingly tough and missed the mark on texture. * Nachos with Carne Asada: Pretty underwhelming. Adding carne asada was a steep $10+ upcharge, yet the portion of meat was tiny and the overall flavor was bland.

You can park in the Bellevue Square parking garage and walk to here. They have online reservations through Google Maps so I suggest doing so to make sure your table is ready because I have seen long lines during peak hours. We had a reservation and arrived on Sunday evening for dinner but still had to wait a while before a server came even though there was no line. There was a water bottle on the table and it was not free so keep that in mind. The restaurant is cozy, but the light could be brighter from my opinion. The menu has many options from small to large and shareable dishes. We went for their famous lamb chops and squid paella for two people. The lamb chops were great and paired well with the potato. It really took a long time (the menu said 30 minutes) for the paella, so take that into account before ordering, but the flavor was worth it. This is our first time trying Spanish food but these were really good. The rice was well mixed, flavored, and came in a big portion. Only one thing is that the meat and seafood were a bit less given the price of this dish. In general, this restaurant is a decent place with great food and location in the heart of Bellevue. I would highly recommend it if you crave for Spanish food. The price is a bit on a higher end but at least you will leave with a good mood and a full belly.

I was greeted by a very friendly hostess who explained that to-go orders are normally placed online, but she happily got the manager to help me. He was incredibly helpful and made the ordering process easy. The food was really good! I ordered the jackfruit tacos with rice and beans, along with the guacamole sampler. I didn't realize beforehand that it was more Tex-Mex style, so that was a little different than I expected. The guacamole itself was good, but I'm personally not a fan of cheese and some of the additional toppings mixed into guacamole, so it just wasn't my preference. That doesn't mean it wasn't good. It just wasn't for me. The jackfruit tacos, however, were fantastic. I absolutely love jackfruit, and these were some of the best I've had other than the ones I make. They could have used a little more spice, but they were still delicious. And the chips? Completely addicting! I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Seattle to try more items on the menu

You order at the counter before seating yourself, but the staff will bus your tables. There's plenty of parking available and the salsa bar also has some fresh radishes and roasted(?) carrots that I found to be surprisingly well seasoned. Carne Asada Fries: Fries weren't as crispy as I'd like, but the toppings were solid. Beef was decently tender and they were generous with the amount of guacamole. It was my first time seeing beans on fries, but I thought it was pretty solid. Churros: These are definitely pre-made churros that get re-fried. I continue to be on the hunt for fresh churros in the Seattle area, but I wasn't mad at these. The custard had a nice mouthfeel and creamy sweetness, but the whipped cream was a little odd in that it didn't taste like anything at all. Mulitas: I wanted a little more meat in these, but they aren't bad. I like that some of the cheese crisps up a bit on the edges of the tortilla. If I was a little drunk, these would be elite.

You know, the kind of place where you sit down thinking, "We'll just have one drink," and suddenly it's three tequilas later and you're talking about your childhood dreams. Speaking of tequila... WOW. The tequila selection here is basically a library, and the bartenders are the very enthusiastic librarians. They know everything. My partner and I were lovingly escorted through a full tequila tour before our food even arrived, and honestly? By the time dinner showed up, life was beautiful and all decisions felt correct. Needless to say, we were having an excellent time. The food definitely holds its own too. Everything came out fresh, beautifully plated, and tasting like someone in the kitchen actually cares (which is always a plus). We split a few dishes, including the Carne Asada and the Pescado. The Carne Asada was good, though it could've used just a bit more seasoning, nothing tragic, just a gentle nudge from "good" to "wow." The Pescado, however, was fantastic. The food is quite good. I wouldn't call it authentically Mexican, but rather a contemporary, slightly elevated interpretation of Mexican cuisine. Personally, I would have loved a bit more of those bold, authentic Mexican flavors to come through, but overall, the dishes were enjoyable and beautifully presented. The staff was genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout the evening. I did change my mind shortly after being seated and asked to move from indoors to the patio. Our hostess, Aguilera, gave me a quick look that said, "Really? Already?" but was very gracious and accommodating. In the end, moving outside was definitely the right call! The wooden chairs indoors look beautiful but become a little uncomfortable after sitting for a while. The carved seating cocoons along the walls are visually striking and add a lot of character, although they're probably better for admiring than for a long, leisurely dinner. The outdoor seating, on the other hand, was very comfortable. The biggest opportunity for improvement is the acoustics. Conversations really travel and bounce around the interior, which naturally leads everyone to speak louder just to hear each other, creating a bit of a vicious cycle. During a busy dinner service, it can get quite noisy. That said, I'd absolutely come back and happily bring friends or visitors for a memorable dinner. My preference would definitely be a nice-weather evening with outdoor seating, where you can really enjoy the view and atmosphere. Pro tip: Ask for a Carajillo! It's a Mexican espresso cocktail that can be surprisingly hard to find done well. They have one here, and it was delicious, beautifully presented, and one of the highlights of the evening.

Our whole group was very disappointed with our dinner experience tonight. We were there for about 2…read more1/2 hours, and our server was essentially absent the entire time. We had to repeatedly flag down other servers and bussers just to get basic things like water refills, blankets, and a dessert menu. Our server was a young, slim Indian gentleman. We didn't catch his name because it wasn't listed on the receipt, but he walked past our table multiple times without ever checking on us. I ordered my steak medium, but it came out blue rare. As you can see in the photo, it was extremely undercooked. Since I'm pregnant, I wasn't willing to take the risk of eating it, so I ended up leaving most of it. Overall, the location and the view were absolutely beautiful, but the service and food were both disappointing. No one at our table enjoyed their meal. The tacos were okay, but nothing memorable. Based on our experience, I don't understand the hype surrounding this restaurant.
