Used to pass by this Los Chilangos location often when my friend used to live nearby, so I finally had a chance to try it a while back. I don't often get any Mexican food on the Eastside since I just haven't found a good one yet. And sadly, I have to admit that I still have not found any worth the drive across the lake. I ordered one of their burritos, hefty pricing but that's what you'd expect on this side of town. Not the heftiest burrito though for its price, but filling enough. Taste wise it was as a Yelp 3 Star describes, "OK". I've had a lot of Mexican food across the whole West Coast, and this one isn't any special. We ordered food for pickup from the truck and it was ready as soon as we got there! We had three tacos, the godfather burrito, horchata, and chips and guac. The carnitas was my favorite out of the three tacos, lots of flavor! It had a touch of bitterness to it but my favorite overall, 4/5 The birria was good but was not as flavorful as I'd expected and the meat itself was a little dry, 3/5 The carne asada felt similar, yummy but also a it dry, 3/5. I haven't had a ton of horchata but I thought it was delicious. It was a balanced sweet and spiced, 5/5. I ordered the House Specialty - Chilaquiles Con Huevos! its a fried corn tortillas covered in spicy habanero salsa (its really Spicy!) topped with eggs of your choice (I took scrambled), chicken, cilantro and onion with side of black beans. We picked up dinner from because we always pass by it and wanted to try it out! We ordered the taco plate (carne asada and al pastor) and the godfather burrito with al pastor as the meat choice. I really enjoyed my taco plate and the rice! I thought the flavors were great - the al pastor was my favorite. My boyfriend really liked his burrito as well! The service was good as well! Los Chilangos is such a great place for dinner , lunch or even breakfast spot. Usually get Los Chilangos on my way home from work , definitely enjoy their street tacos from the Kirkland location. Every year prices soar and the quality and flavor declines and once a loyal customer I accumulated a punch card that I've had in my wallet for awhile and went to use my free entree that was fully punched with 10 previous visits - I was met with a sour look and told me "they no longer accept" which I replied OK but it's fully punched? Bad business practice, rude stares, inflated prices and food quality drop I would not recommend this place to anyone any longer. Shame. read more

Some of the most disappointing Mexican food I've had in a long time. Granted we are not in So Cal, the bar shouldn't be the continental US. These are sad street tacos with over cooked and dry meat (we got the pollo and al pastor) tacos. No options to get carrots or extra radishes....but back to the tacos, the Al pastor taco was not sliced off the spit and was topped with chopped canned pineapples (not even grilled! literally cold from the can). First time here. Loved it. Lengua tacos and Habanero Wet Burrito. Both delicious. Enjoyed the balance of savory and heat with the habanero. We mixed the sauces and the combination was excellent. We'd definitely go back. Charming staff and convenient. Nice to have parking built in for a quick bite. My husband and I have been on a Mexican food binge lately. When the opportunity to try this food truck came, we didn't hesitate to try it out. First of all for this location, it was easily accessible with there was plenty of parking. The menu is easy to read and the staff ask if you need any assistance. The two women that served us on the two occasions that we tried were friendly, polite, happy and sweet. I enjoyed their energy and how they run their food truck. We ordered a wet pork burrito and a small chicken taco. Both were tasty! My husband loved the sauces that came with it. For a small business, I'm thrilled to see them use compostable cutlery and boxes! They get extra props for that. Overall, I would recommend as a great pit stop for lunch or snack. Yummy!! 10/10 on the Al Pastor tacos I got for lunch today. I asked spicy and it was tbe good spicy, like nice humm in your mouth, not blazing hot need something to drink kinda spicy. Ay dios mios! Que maravillosa! We stumbled upon this place when we found much to our dismay the taco place we were looking for was closed. SO glad it was! There was no way the other place would be better than this. Tucked away beside a car wash/gas station and across the intersection from a Walgreens, this taco truck is authentic as they come. We have found it difficult in the PNW to find something like this. So sad it's so far from us but it will become a destination for us now. Again, I was so pleased to see protein options like lengua and cabeza. And for them to be insanely good was even better. We ordered 2 of the taco plates that each came with rice and beans. I chose lengua, chorizo and carnitas for my 3 and my husband chose the chorizo/carne asada combo (Chupa Cabras on the menu), al pastor, and cabeza. I cannot get over how flavorful and authentic everything was here. The simplicity of the toppings for each one, the tenderness of the meat, everything. The meats were basically mexican pot roast. I was in heaven. The rice and beans were simple. Rice was mild and was better with mild salsa added. The black beans were so moist and tender, great bite to them. Tacos were fine. I ordered two al pastor tacos, one carne asada, one chorizo. The al pastor did not have pineapple on it, which was disappointing. The chorizo was the only taco that actually had some flavor, the al pastor and carne asada were fairly bland. The green hot salsa is very good and much needed. It wasn't that hot but still had good flavor. Also ordered a carne asada quesadilla, but some of the cheese was not melted on the inside, so I had to microwave it myself at home. Once microwaved, it gave the steak a bad taste that reheated meat can get. Also, a lot of the carne asada in the quesadilla was too chewy and had some inedible parts that I had to spit out. Overall, if I return, I'd only order the chorizo tacos, and maybe the al pastor if they actually put pineapple on it, and also get extra salsa. read more

Taqueria Los Chilangos is a solid food truck, serving Mexican favorites. Its truck is located at the Shell gas station at the intersection of 8th and 140th, where they're open all day. I came here to grab some quick dinner for my boyfriend and me, as I was in the area for a meeting and spotted Taqueria Los Chilangos' truck. I ordered five tacos, two with carnitas, two with al pastor and one with chupa cabras. For also checking in on Yelp I got free chips and salsa. On a Tuesday around 7pm, there were quite a few people waiting out in the cold for the goods. Of all the tacos, I actually thought the chupa cabras was the best. It's not something I'd normally choose with street tacos, as it's a combination of carne asada and chorizo, but I definitely recommend trying it. I've never seen this meat option at other taquerias, which is what intrigued me the most. I'm glad it ended up being a favorite. The al pastor tacos were also good, especially with the pineapple on top, which I think all al pastor tacos should have! But the carnitas, which is usually my go-to protein of choice with street tacos, was sadly, disappointing. Meat was very dry; therefore, it was bland. Stick with the chupa cabras and al pastor meats. In addition to tacos, the menu has a lot to offer, including breakfast served all day! (One of these days I'm gonna get a breakfast burrito.) They also have two different salsas that you can choose from, as well as various flavors of Jarritos. There isn't seating outside of the truck - only a standing table, so not sure if when the weather fares better are when the seats bust out. At least you can park here and eat your grub in your car, which I noticed a few patrons doing. No shame. read more

Sorry to say this, but the meat quality just isn't there. I had four soft tacos, each with different meats, and none were particularly good. In particular, the carne meat was incredibly tough (I took one bite and couldn't eat the rest.)
