It's honestly the only place I get tacos (takeout bc I have a lot of kids) from out here. They are authentic, friendly, generous servings. I have been searching and searching for Authentic Mexican food. I came across Tacos El Chingon and saw they had 5 stars so I had to come check it out for myself. We drove 33 mins and I have to say it was sooo worth it. My fiancé and I had the chicken nachos, chicken tacos, and a chicken burrito. The chicken was so juicy and full of flavor. We didn't finish everything but made sure to bring our leftovers. I kept telling my fiancé as we were eating I'm so jealous of the locals that live nearby. We ordered pick up of a bunch of tacos: al pastor, carnitas, lengua, asada, shrimp and some some nachos. We called in I arrived they had great precautions for Covid set up AND WERE SO NICE. Like genuinely nice, a cook came out to talk to the hostess and said hello as well. We messed up our order and forgot to order the asada tacos and they were nice enough to push ours through before another big order. The tacos were cold only bc I took forever to get them on the table and while not hot THEY WERE DELICIOUS the al pastor had the perfect seasoning and hint of pineapple. Carnitas were perfect not over cooked or charred. Friends said they really enjoyed the shrimp too. I'm going back for more for sure and I'm super picky with my tacos. It's perfect they chopped white onion, cilantro and wrapped them in TWO tortillas. They know what's up I can't wait until post covid to physically eat there read more

Went on other night as first time customer. Told worker on phone first time. Was super excited to hear: got tired of the same commercial type assembly line places . Well I was blown away . We ordered a skirt steak burrito with all fixins as well as the chorizo steak and onion quesadilla , chips and salsa . He said will put all his sauces in the bag to sample all . When I pulled up he asked name told him .. he said ohh first time correct and thanked me then proceeded to offer me a free chicken taco since my food was Mostly steak to try the chicken they marinate in house.. food was all Deelish made with family love .. my only nitpick complaint would be the chips that they were smaller and a lot of crumbled pieces making hard to dip in Deelish sweet salsa . I moved to the area after living in Los Angeles for the last 23 years. And while the HUGE upgrade in pizza made it worth while, the Mexican food in the area has left me a little wanting. What a gem! I stumbled upon this place after getting a massage a few doors down (New Foot Spa - another fab find) and I am so glad that I did. As soon as I walked in, the smell alone told me I was in for a treat. So we stopped at this place for lunch today, and OMG! This place was so delicious and so fresh. What a great addition to Bellmore. We started with some chips and different salsas. You must have the Chipolte salsa. I loved the tomatillo and jalepeno salsa as well. The lovely lady behind the counter also gave us a taste of refried beans with cheese. The chip came right out of the fryer into our basket and they were all amazing. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so the hubby asked what she suggested. After telling us everything was delish, we should try the Machete, which we did. We went with the El Chingon version so we could try 3 types of meat. We got the pork shoulder, which was my fave, the short rib, which I was too full to even try, and the chorizo. That was also amazing. We also got the chicken quesadilla, which was so yummy I couldn't stop eating it. The little guy got chicken tacos, which we also had to eat and they were so good with fresh cilantro and lime. You can totally tell this place gets it and has pride in what they put out. Every ingredient was fresh, and tasted so good. This is going to be a regular spot for us for sure. Oooo this place is GOOD. My new go-to local Mexican spot for sure. Authentic tacos with such an extensive variety to choose from. Made fresh to order (or at least it definitely tastes like it). Pricing is reasonable although more expensive than other places I've been to. But definitely worth it. And the staff is soo friendly and funny! I was cracking up when one of the cashiers light-heartedly was helping a customer with pronouncing spanish foods she was ordering. I highly recommend and can't wait to return! read more

Just had my first order from this restaurant. I've been waiting for an authentic Mexican restaurant in the Bellmore Merrick area. This delivers. I had the shrimp tacos and a mushroom quesadilla. We got all the salsas as well. It was all super authentic, not over complicated food, which is how I like Mexican food. There's a new taco joint in wantagh, but my issue with that place is the "fusion style" tacos. Not for me. This place knows what it's doing. Highly recommended.
