But I was surprised that each ground beef taco with barely any cheese and little amount of sour cream cost $5 a piece. He said the meat wasn't salty enough and for a 5 year old that means it wasn't seasoned at all. I got a barbacoa burrito that was fine. It was a little small for the $16 price tag but I digress. We went with build your own bowl. I built my own bowl with carnitas {which was a little dry) with rice and toppings. It was pretty good. Once again, it had a bit of a kick. I don't live very close to this place, but tried it on a whim on GrubHub. Got here really quick, hot, and delicious! Food is fresh, crisp and healthy compared to other quick & filling food places. Its is probably my fave place for a bowl! 90% of their ingredients are vegan and have a really good seasons tofu option, im not usually a fan of tofu but here is so good! Cooked well. One thing though, its called guac shop but no matter what you get nothing comes with guac. It is extra on every dish. Doesnt lineup with the marketing they went with. It doesnt stop me from going but its weird they name the place guac shop and wont give you any unless they charge you an extra $3. Not vibes it turns a 10$ bowl into a 14 $ bowl after tax. The location is always clean and staff is well educated on their menu. I love it here! Also its the better option if you are a regular chipotle consumer. read more

A good spot for Mexican food, the prices are very high and honestly one quesadilla can go for upwards of $20-22 and it's mediocre quality.

Can only give two stars here. The food is good but they don't offer soft corn tacos for gluten allergies and for those who prefer corn taste.... And they charge $7 for a disproportionate amount of queso in a small cup. The food prices are reasonable.... And they give you queso on your food is you want... but if you want to take home a cup with your take out order of chips, you pay $7. Guac shop good food. Service experience terrible. Nut shell: closes at 8:30p. We are there at 8p. Cashier tells us they don't take cash. We literally ran out w just cash. They reluctantly took our cash after we were going to walk away. We stated we were eating there. She packed a bag and said they are closing. We ignored that bc we had time to eat at a table. They wouldn't let us throw our garbage away. We had to hand it to them over the counter. I went and wrapped my used utensils up in a napkin before I left them on the counter where we were instructed to leave them. Pretty decent quick serve Mexican place. Hubby and I each got a $5 burrito. Their special throughout the month of September. Get it now, if you haven't! Basically it comes with one protein and 5 add-ons. What I didn't realize was that rice and beans each counted as 2, which is fine. But would be good to know. I got some corn salsa, peppers and onions and mango salsa as my other add-ons. I also tried their pineapple chili sauce which was just the right amount of heat and sweet! I've been here twice since they opened. I liked the Steak Quesadilla so much the first time that I ordered it again my second time here. If you've been to Chipotle, then their setup will look very similar and you won't be lost when you order. I'm glad that this spot opened close to me and I'm sure that I'll be back here quite often. Ordered a bowl. They gave me a sample of the shredded beef as I was worried it would be dry, which it was. Asked for the steak and they ended up giving me the shredded beef anyway. Very little meat compared to chipotle, which is literally Avery's the street. Just a ton of rice so kind of a rip off. Their habanero sauce was barely spicy. Asked if they had anything spicy but apparently that was it. So dry meat, not much of it, boring and flavorless overall. They have more off the beaten path fillings such as mango salsa, Mexican sweet potatoes, Mexican slaw, and much much more. Service is quick and efficient and they often have specials like the $5.99 burrito special for March madness and a buy one get one special on mondays that is only accessible to those who have the app. The one and only criticism I have of this place is that they always BLAST music and I don't really understand why. This place is pretty dope. I stopped by today after visiting the Jovia branch next door. We had heard about Guac Shop before, and figured why the heck not. I was super hungry too. Anyway, my boo got a burrito and I got a steak quesadilla with cheese. Everything was fresh and delicious. They also got their liquor license now so you can booze it up while you have some delicious food too. Everything was great. I wound up getting some chips and queso as well and that was fantastic too. The owner recommended I try the pineapple salsa and it was fantastic. Everything was very clean and orderly. My husband and daughter are allergic to many of the items on the menu so they only ordered about 3-4 items, their bowls were half full.
