Visited family back on Long Island stopped by here on my way home ordered takeout to bring back to the city ordered two steak quesadillas and Was very disappointed because I did not get the pico de gallos and the sour creams has literally nothing in the container and it's very very oily. I went to Owen's on a Tuesday to try their al pastor tacos that is $2.60 for taco Tuesday. Also tried one of the wet burritos. The al pastor was flavored well and tasted really good. The wet burrito with the red sauce is better than the green sauce. The burrito was pretty fulfilling. Service was great and we received everything with a good smile and friendliness. Ordered online through their seamless website process and picked up earlier than expected. I was greeted with a smile and I had to ask: did they have tshirts? "Not yet," was the reply - and I told them I would wear it if they had. After eating my order, I would wear that tshirt proudly... Yes, the burrito might look smaller than a local competitor whose name starts with "c" and ends with "hipotle" but don't be deceived and look closer: this burrito is jam packed and full of good stuff! Coupons galore in the paper (in the shop) and the staff didnt make eye contact, nor did they have the time to care while they were on their phones throughout my experience.I did notice there were flies, and there were lack of gloves use, I worry since recent events of other places that had issues. Maybe i am too worried but i dont want to get ill. Parking is the toughest i have ever experienced outside of nyc. The lot only opens on one side, the ability to turn your vehicle around is nearly impossible.My chicken was hard from being overcooked, there were extra charges for things local places include with the tacos, burritos. i have been to owen's tacos a few times now and everytime i go the cashier/server is very nice and friendly, and there is always available seating. the most recent time i went i got the chips w salsa and guac, the birria taco and veggie taco, and my boyfriend got the owen's quesadilla with chicken substituted. i wasn't the biggest fan of the chips they were pretty stale and the salsa and guacamole were watery. HOWEVER the actual entrees were delicious. The birria tacos made here are made to perfection, the veggie taco was good but not my favorite due to personal preferences. My boyfriend got the owen's quesadilla with chicken instead of beef and it was as delicious as the tacos. The portion size of the quesadilla was quite large too, so def worth the money. i cant wait to come back and try more! read more

Went today for a quick taco. Didn't have time to really sample the menu, so we asked the young lady behind the counter for her favorite item, which my wife and I both ordered. The food was DELICIOUS! And when we expressed how pleased we were the young lady said she was waiting to see what we thought. That level of caring about the food is what makes a business successful. Place was also spotless. We are definitely going back with bigger appetites. 100% recommend! Our area NEEDS little places like this where people care about the food and their customers. read more

The food itself is a reason to keep coming back, but what is promised to be a 30-40 Minute Delivery Time takes consistently over an hour. The last several times we have ordered food, it has taken a considerable amount of time. The food is cold each time upon delivery. Will keep ordering from here as even cold, the food is better than any where in the area. Need to do a better job with cutting delivery times down. I didn't dine in so no need to comment on service or ambiance. We ordered the tamale, a couple carne tacos and quesadilla. The chicken in the tacos and tamales were pretty dry. I read the quesadilla came with shredded lettuce in it so I decided to give it a try. I'll never do that again! The cheese was not soft as you would expect it. It was hardened and tacky when chewing and my food arrived hot as well so it shouldn't have been like this. I was really disappointed. I wonder how these restaurants are getting four and five star reviews when I can barely give it one star. I write very few reviews. My son located this establishment on Yelp about two months ago and I believe we have visited five times. It is a small counter service location with a few tables. The location is bright, colorful and very clean. We have have a variety of items on the menu and have always been very happy. My husband and I noticed this place opened and we've been wanting to try it. Friday night we stopped in and ordered some tacos, a burrito bowl, and a quesadilla. The atmosphere is so colorful and welcoming and the staff (I'm assuming family owned and operated) are extremely pleasant. Our food was ready very quickly. It was absolutely delicious! Some of the best Mexican food we've ever had! The homemade salsas are the perfect amount of spicy and the quality of the food is extremely fresh.
