First time getting food from here, after driving by many times. I got a Mix meat asada & al pastor burrito and some chilly cheese fries. When asking for information about the food and toppings, the person at the window was a bit short, not in height, but with his responses. Seemed like he didn't liked to be asked or even reply. The burrito is 10.89 and he packed it with rice and beans: with just a hint of the mixed meat. The tortilla was very chewy. Not sure if it wasn't heated up all the way or just used to wrap its contents without touching the heated pan. Also, wasn't big either. I asked if it included avocado and it was an upsale for 1.80 additional for it. Almost what 3 avocados cost at the supermarket. The chilly cheese fries were 5.50 and served in a small container. The chilly tasted out of a can and the fries flavorless. I share this because the food is not great: is edible if you're hungry. Just keep your standards low, this is not the best "Mexican" food. I was also charged for paying with debit card. Maybe it was just my experience for this time, but I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Not tasty and not polite either. Sorry to say. read more

After visiting my mom at the rehabilitation Center in Highland Park, my wife and I were very hungry after a long day then decided look around entering in this shopping center where a Superior Mexican market. We notice this taco shack and decided to try it out. When we saw taco shack they were selling lottery tickets and smoke ahop and food in one place. We were looking at the menu display and other specials they have. We order two orders of their taquitos and my wife order al pastor burrito then I order a carnitas burrito. Then was curious about shop next the Taco Fiesta called Kitchen Mouse it was close but it's a coffee shop also they sell sandwich,pastry other items. Then I pick our food up everything is all wrapped I open my taquitos it comes two taquitos with guacamole sauce smother on tap the taquitos. They were very good they out alot of the guacamole sauce we both enjoy. Then I took a bite of my carnitas burrito it really the carnitas was well season cooked very tender and shredded fine then add lime to the burrito that was good then I decided at the guacamole sauce to the burrito it more flavor to the burrito I really enjoy . My wife enjoy her al pastor burrito and adding the guacamole sauce to her burrito she enjoy. We need come back again to Taco Fiesta. read more

Honestly this is not my kinda of Mexican food. But if you're a fan of gringo Mexican food like Tito's Tacos in Culver City then this might be your jam. This place is famous for it's hardshell tacos with the loose cheddar cheese and lettuce. Most of the menu is deep fried and under seasoned. The avocado fries is misleading as they aren't battered fried avocado slices but rather french fries covered in a green avocado salsa. The taco burger is like a sloppy Joe but with taco seasonings. Anyway the food isn't horrible but cAnt say it's great. The service is pretty quick and friendly though. read more

I've had this place bookmarked for ever on my yelp. Finally giving it a try since I happened to be in the area. The restaurant is a small little window with bench seating adjacent to the order window. I am a huge fan of crunchy beef tacos and in search of the best ones. These weren't bad at all. The shell is store bought like them Ortega ones at the supermarket. The meat is very tender with plenty of flavor. They also put plenty of meat in those tacos. The lettuce was fresh and it was green leaf not iceberg. My favorite was that they put plenty of cheese and it was good cheese not that smart and final fake shredded cheese. Finally tried this place a couple weeks ago after washed my car next door. I had to try the gringo hard shell tacos. They're famous for those. Wow! I'm not usually a big fan of these, even though like most I grew up having them semi-regularly at home. But these are really well-made. The whole package works together: The ground beef filling is generous, perfectly fatty and well-seasoned. And the hot sauce is a perfect compliment. I thought I'd hate the tomato wedge instead of the usual diced tomatoes, but it's really great on it. After my first visit, I was craving them and I've been three times since. I have an Idea: Half a grilled hot dog on top the ground beef in the taco. Top the usual way. Call it a "Fiesta Dog". I may have to make one at home. I wish they sold merch. Awww shucks. I just adore this place. They really seem to care about the food and the prices are fantastic. I often get the garden burger and besides being a bit on the salty side, it's probably my favorite anywhere besides maybe Lucky Boy. I love how they fry the buns on the grill, and use that little weight to hold the patties down while frying. The fish burritos are full of lovely sour cream and cabbage. The fish tacos are the same. They use prebattered frozen fish I'm pretty sure but it's still okay because of the preparation. No matter what you order, the size is right, and it's tidy. The burgers are wrapped with love, the lettuce is tucked in neatly, it's wrapped in that cool yellow paper with perfect folds. There are many specials to choose from for less than 6 bucks and you WILL be full. Remember though, they don't do breakfast burritos, or anything breakfasty at all. TIP: Call ahead. They'll pick up the phone and you won't have to wait. That's the only drawback here. The wait time is forever. Oh, and Cash Only! If you do have to wait, you'll notice that everyone in the neighborhood seems to know the workers. I've witnessed many a friendly conversation going on there. It's like they'll know your dogs name etc. And you'll see everyone in the area there from the artists, doctors, and bourgeoisie that come down from the Mount Washington neighborhood to the hard working business owners, sweatshop workers, nannies, and, struggling artists that populate Highland park.
