Chicken burrito, it was bland and the chicken was dry
    Sierra W.

I ordered the birria tacos, a burrito and the fuego fries. The guy who waited on us was rude and barely spoke english. His body language was loud and his nails were disgusting. He clearly doesn't wash them! I had to ask if they wore gloves when prepping the food because the lady handling the onions did not have on gloves. I won't be back! The chicken burrito was dry and bland! The food wasn't worth the price.

I love the food at Taco Fuego. My customers recommended this location a lot , I love to coming here to have tacco and forever.

Cheese Crusted Butrito with Fajita (beef)

This place lives up to its name!! Taco Fuego is on fire! Small location (there are four now in the Houston area) but great vibe. Awesome service!! And the food was ridiculously good. My wife had the Flautas with chicken and cheese and they were delicious! - Crispy, flavorful, and topped with lettuce, cilantro, pickled onions, crema, salsa - and all very fresh. I had the cheese crusted burrito with beef fajita. Crazy good! And huge! And did I mention how good it was? Lastly, we sampled the Barria taco. I swear, I sound like a broken record but what are ya gonna do? It too, was really, really good! Needles to say, we will be back asap! There so much more in the menu that looked appealing so we'll take as many trips as needed to try them all. Watch out!! More reviews cometh!! *note: I took a picture of the flautas as well but the camera glitched and the picture blurred and didn't notice until after they had been eaten. Next time then...

I wanted to try this place out, however I never got the chance. The door says they open at 11am, yet I waited 20 minutes and the door was still locked. Granted, when I arrived at 10:54am, the worker seemed to have just arrived as well. I watched him go inside and lock the door behind him then never came to open shop. I waited at the door for a bit just thinking maybe they just needed a second, and even called to be sure they were open--no answer. As a first impression, I was pretty disappointed. Based off a few of the other comments, I may not try this place out after all :/

    Fuego wrap

We had the chicken burrito (devoured before I could get a photo), fuego wrap with brisket, and birria tacos. Everything tasted delicious!

I have been searching for a new Mexican / Taco spot for quite some time ever since our previous…read morerestaurant changed their name and lowered their quality. My wife and I just want good quality and value with some sincere & kind service; that's all. Nothing fancy and special treatment necessary, just good old fashioned hospitality and good food. We believe we have found it this Sunday afternoon! We found them on the reviews and it looked promising so we decided to give them a try. The moment we walked in, we could tell Taco El Patron was different. The restaurant was bright, clean and very inviting with their tastefully decorated walls to their comfortable seating & table arrangement. We were greeted by a very pleasant waitress named Ashley and she and Veronica made us feel at home from the time we let them know it was our first visit to the time we left feeling high satisfied by the awesome food and first-class service. The menu was simple but gave diners many different ways to customize their food - that was a big deal to us. The chips and chicharron were delightful with their amazing bottles of superb salsas! My wife went with the asada (steak) and I couldn't decide so I asked Ashley to bring me ALL six of the selections from the special tacos section and that's what she did with a giggle saying no one has ordered all them, so they even took a photo of that massive plate of tacos and all the tasty sides! I felt like I hit the taco lottery when the platter came out and because the service was just as amazing and outstanding as the food. I had a wonderful time trying each one of the expertly crafted tacos and was so impressed with each and every bite. The prices are fair & reasonable and that's honestly a bonus since it's hard to find value for your hard earned money these days. My wife and I felt like our money was well spent and our patronage was very much appreciated. With that being said, you and your family should not waste anymore time with other trendy restaurants (you know who they are) and come to Tacos El Patron where you will hit the taco lottery like I did with amazing generous homemade style food served by a staff that treats you like family. Great Job, Ashley, Veronica and the entire kitchen crew at our new favorite taco restaurant! Check them out and tell them David & Amy sent you.

I ordered the guac and pork belly with her and she walked away. I was trying to order my drinks but she moved so fast. I ordered one thing and she walked away. I had to go up to the bar to grab napkins and ask her for the amazing hot sauces that usually comes in the bottle. My husband ordered no onions and cilantro and got cilantro on everything. My husband ordered Al pastor and got lengua. The pastor lacked flavor. The best thing was the tripa. Although a bit greasy, it was tasty. The carnitas were good. Lengua was tender and asada was tender but lacked flavor. Not sure if tonight was an off night but the experience made me debate if I want to come back or look for a new taco spot. Ambiance was nice. This place is absolutely amazing! We started of with the Caldo Luchador soup. This soup was the absolute best soup I have had in the last decade. For lunch I had the Sonoran burrito and ordered a side of Mole. When I took my first bite It was like I was transported to Mexico City and I was eating at one of the cities culinary masterpieces. The Mole is imported directly from Mexico and is by far the best I have ever had. The service was spectacular. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone with a love of real Mexican food. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food--not Tex-Mex--this is the place. As San Diegans now living in Houston, we've been craving the flavors we grew up with, and this hit the spot. You can truly taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients in every dish. The pork in chile verde was incredibly tender and packed with flavor, and the green salsa on the chilaquiles was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the menudo, and it did not disappoint it was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. One thing that really stood out was the owner, who stopped by several times to check on us, make sure we were enjoying every dish, and see if we needed anything. That level of hospitality made the experience even more memorable. The restaurant is clean, casual, and very family-friendly, making it a great spot for any occasion. We'll definitely be back, and we've already recommended it to our family and friends.

I'd wanted to try La Cocina for a while for that reason and those plans finally came to fruition. You walk up to a counter that has all the ingredients for taco making right in front of you. The guy asks you how many you are going to want, and if you want flour or corn, so he can let them know in the back to make your tortillas fresh. About 2 minutes later, out came our tortillas. I ordered 3: one with eggs and bacon, one with some kind of egg and sausage combo and one non-breakfast taco with fajita meat. The fajita taco was just okay, but the breakfast tacos had me thinking about them for hours after the fact. They aren't very big, so if you're a growing boy like me, I'd aim for 4-5 of them. The guy behind the counter tried to guide us into his suggestion of 2 each, but I jumped in and said make it 3 for me. If I could go back in time, I would have done 4 and made them all the breakfast variety. Both breakfast tacos were straight bangers from another dimension. All the sauces were great and none were too spicy. I might have to return to this place sooner rather than later because I really did think about it the rest of the day. I love you, La Cocina.
