I have been a customer my entire life and earlier today I tried calling to place a pickup order. There was an issue with the phone so I called back, and someone answered saying "stop f***ing calling here". Sad to say, after 38 years coming with my family, I will not be coming back without an apology. I am highly disappointed and sad that someone would treat a customer like that. read more

You Would think that a place like this that is rundown, and in desperate need of remodeling and repair would treat their local following a little bit better. Providing quality food that's affordable but no, This place is so over priced and expensive it's clear they're desperate for money but none of it goes back into the business. An "average" sized smothered burrito cost almost $17! $1.00 charge each for Tomatoes, Lettuce, onion?!?! I can see for guacamole and sour cream but the normal garnishes??come on.... Grew up in Littleton and never tried this place, but saw there was a drive up window a month ago while running errands and thought I'd give it a try. Ordered a guacamole tostada and the enchilada place- both were good. The tostada was tasty and crunchy with lots of fresh lettuce. Cheese enchiladas were delicious. Staff was nice. Portions were good and price was very reasonable. Are there better Mexican restaurants in Littleton? Probably. Was this a good option if you're looking for spontaneous take-out and don't want to get out of your car? Definitely. I'd pick up food from here again, for sure. read more

New guy who is heavy set screwed up my order, obviously because he did NOT write anything down....had to get our own menu's ( NO ONE ELSE in the place!!! ) This guy never checked on us, did nothing but sit there! I've been loving on Taco House since we moved to Denver in the late 70s. It cheap, and greasy, and once in a while nothing hits the spot quite like TH! I have been going to Taco House for over 30 years. I believe the store on Littleton Boulevard in Littleton, Colorado is the best out of all of them. I travel quite the distance for the meal. They have good food, friendly staff and a homey atmosphere. The prices are reasonably priced. The menu is filled with a large array of foodie goodness. Taco House has been in the Denver Metro Area for over 50 years. I come from the old school "All You Can Eat," so I've had my fair share of this "Colorado Mex" over the years. I get the same thing every time. I even take my mother there for Mother's Day. My whole family loves the Taco House. Many forsake it. I think those forsakers are crazy and wrong. Support local businesses and give Taco House a try. You'll be glad you did. read more

If you're looking for bland tasteless food served with an Fu attitude in a dubiously clean kitchen then this should be on the top of your list. I ordered their carne asada, what came out looks like the same ground beef my friend was having, had zero flavor, and when I asked the server about it she said that's carne asada charged me $11 for three tacos and said arasada looks like ground beef but it's not. Taco House is probably the diviest little hole in the wall I have ever seen, but when I first noticed it last Friday night, it was absolutely hopping. We dropped by a couple of days later to get a quick snack. I'm not quite sure what the deal is because there was a sign on the door saying "No Entry" but inside, tables were quite clearly laid with flatware, napkins etc. A tiny photocopied menu is taped next to the drive-thru window but it was completely impossible to read, so we just ordered an assortment of items - tacos, enchiladas, chalupa etc, all around the $1.70 mark - plus a beef, bean and cheese burrito ($3.50). I was halfway through my taco - complaining about how totally bland it was - when I discovered the little tubs of salsa under the napkins in the bag! While the food was still decidedly mediocre, the salsa actually gave it some decent flavor. I'd rather have Del Taco, but this would be good as post-bar drunk food. read more

This "restaurant" made me wish I was eating Taco Bell instead. I wish I could take back the last 30 minutes of my life. The chicken tacos were very bland and my brothers enchiladas were disgusting. The rice was crunchy and the refried beans were dry and flavorless. When we went inside the restaurant looked unsanitary and very messy. Its cheap! Do you rememberwhen your mom made tacos in pre-made shells. NOT SPICY!! kids dont like that. That's the kind of tacos you find here. Bland, boring and cheap. Housed in a 1950's dry cleaner's building, it has a surprizingly large but spartan "dining" area. The counter girl was nice and served us round chips that obviously came from a bag. Sat down for some cheap Mexican food. Did not have high hopes. But when we ordered a couple of cokes and received chips that came from a bag served alongside the green slop that people from Colorado call "green chili," it was time to take a pass. We got up to leave, having consumed three chips and a few sips of coke and were presented with a bill for $5! Seriously? Suddenly the complimentary chips carried a charge and customer service was flushed down the toilet. On Cinco de Mayo no less! If this is what passes for customer service in this town, it makes me want to open a better Mexican food restaurant next door (I'll call it Taco Casa) and drive Taco House out of business. Taco House has perfectly acceptable take-out Mexican fare. They even have a drive-up window for this purpose. Daily specials and some of the hotter "green" chile around. I'd equate their food to Chubby's (the two locations on I-225/Miss. and Quebec/County Line). Note that I said "take-out", because the interior has all the appeal of a late 70's truck stop. Not very good at all. Tried their ground beef and chicken soft tacos. They're a fast food style place so they need to keep costs down obviously. Everything tastes and appears to be pre-made and ordered from a food distributor. There definitely wasn't any cooking going on in the kitchen, just food kept hot and put together when you order. The ground beef was especially bad, as I was not able to finish a single one of those tacos. The chicken was a little better, but still sub par. It was pre-made "grilled" chicken. Both proteins reminded me of del taco. Place isn't for me, but it was pretty cheap if you're needing to eat on a budget. Just keep your expectations managed. read more

Thought we'd give Taco house a go again after 7 years. They charged $4.50 for some cheese whiz that they consider queso and the lady at the front counter wanted to argue about a plain Beef & Bean burrito that was supposed to be $3.75 turned out to be $8.20 for some stupid reason, misleading menu and disrespectful counter help, didnt even want to give us to-go drinks! I live up the street, my dad really likes this place but it's hard for me to see why. Del taco is close by and this place is still open? I like the drive thru aspect but if your restaurant were any better your drive thru would definitely need a remodel. It can hold 2 cars max. The food is bland and just not very good quality at all. Though I do give you some credit every neighboring restaurant, aside from the hotdog place and Luis, is absolutely disgusting. If your passing through in a hurry I guess this would be acceptable. I really want to like this place. It's a total dive in an odd location, which means it should have the best mexican food ever. Unfortuantely, it doesn't. I've been here a few times now and it's a different experience every time. The tacos seem to be relatively dependable. Nothing special, just a basic taco for $0.80. Everything else is hit or miss. Some times it's good, sometimes it tolerable, sometimes it's terrible. Bottom line: If you need a cheap snack, the tacos are dependably decent. Try something different if you're feeling brave. 2 stars for the food, one star for the prices. read more

I have to agree with the other users that said this place looked like a dive...it does...and that is precisely why a friend and I decided to try it out. However...we were disappointed to find out that this dive unfortunately didn't have very good food :-( There were only two other people in the place when we cane in but it took them about 5 minutes to come over and take our order?? We split some tacos and enchiladas and were surprised at how tasteless they were. The whole time we were there I kept thinking this was a poorly executed knock off of a taco bell...but don't get me wrong...I much prefer the tacos at taco bell. This place is classic! It feels like an old-style diner that happens to serve Americanized Mexican food instead of greasy spoon grub. The ladies are nice and the food is very inexpensive.
