Torta Birria Y Consome, Taco Dinner, pastor taco, Coca Cola, sangria.

My husband and I dined in and he got two Al pastor tacos, torta birria with consume, I got a three steak taco dinner with rice and beans, we also got two bottled drinks, Coca Cola and Sangria, drinks taste better in a bottle. The food hit the spot it was delicious and well presented! I love the fact they had a good selection of sauces, 4 bottles to be exact! They also sell their salsas in jars. I just wish they had the old school agua fresca machines. They had horchata but I think it was bottled. The service was excellent and the ambiance was nice. It was well lit and the tables were eye catching. This definitely hit the spot last night.

    Raw chicken

ordered a chicken torta from Tacos Jerez Rolling meadows location via DoorDash today at 5:00 PM. When I received it, the chicken was raw and undercooked in the center. I ate half of it before realizing it was unsafe. Since then, I have been feeling nauseous. This is a serious food safety issue.

Delicious, authentic Mexican food! I've ordered takeout from here and have also eaten in the restaurant. It has a nice atmosphere with cute Mexican decor. Service is always good and actually pretty fast! Their salsas and sauces are very tasty, and I particularly like their chicken and al pastor tacos. The taco de rajas with roasted poblano peppers is good too! Overall, I would definitely recommend stopping in and I will continue to order from here!

The food was amazing. The service was fast. And the cashier was wonderful when I had questions. I ordered the quesadilla and added onions and peppers. The green sauce is wonderful I added to everything. I ordered to go and my order came quickly even during peak lunch hours. The music was lively and it set the mood. I will definitely be back.

This place is a hidden gem! There are so many places you can get tacos but nothing like a smaller authentic Mexican restaurant that just gets all of the flavors, quality, and atmosphere just right! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with the amazing scents of the food cooking just a few feet away, and the traditional Mexican cantina music! So fun! As we walked to the cashier to order our food we had questions on the menu and she made recommendations based on our questions and by getting to know us a bit. It made us feel more comfortable knowing that what we were ordering was what we wanted. We then took a seat and we're brought chips and salsa (which to people who don't handle spice like me, may think it's a bit spicy!) and our drinks came out shortly after that. As our torta and tacos came out - they were piping how and you can just taste the flavors in every bite! If you're looking to have authentic Mexican food, and a fun atmosphere to dine in - look no further!

3 Mini Quesabirria Birria Tacos with Consomme

We've ordered pickup from here quite a few times and it's always delicious and on time. Their guac is enough for two people. Their horchata isn't too sweet, just right. This is our spot when we crave some Mexican food near our job!

I haven't had Mexican food hit the spot in a minute. This place does it for me! I'm addicted and want to try more menu items. They get super busy too. Thats how you know its good. Fast counter service to order and they'll bring the food to you. Try the quesabirria tacos, churros, and fries. They also have other meats such as lengua, tripe, and beef head. They also carry alcohol there, tequila seltzers, and cerveza. Avg bill will run you $10-$15 depending on what your into.

First time at Taco Jerez tonight, and wow... I ordered three pastor (marinated pork) tacos with cilantro and onions and, I gotta tell ya, I was stuffed! These tacos were LOADED with meat. It was pretty tender and tasty, and the green salsa was very creamy with a nice kick to it. If I could give it a 4.5 stars, I probably would have. Will definitely be back!

    Birria tacos, amazing!!

YUMMMMMM, omg this place guys!! Thank goodness a new authentic Mexican taqueria opened up right by my house. I tried birria tacos for the first time at this place - they did NOT disappoint!! Soooo yummy, and everything was well priced. If you dine in, you get complementary chips and salsa which were very tasty. How it works is you order up at the front and then they give you a number. You can sit wherever you want and leave the number on your table - they'll come to you and drop off your food when it's ready. It's identical to how it works at Noodles and Company, and Panera. The food here was amazing and all the employees were super nice. This place needs more recognition!! Will definitely be back

Taco Dinner - Al Pastor and Carne Asada tacos.

Stopped at Taco Jerez on a drive from Chicago to Minneapolis. What a great little spot. Super clean and bright inside, and the staff were really friendly. Classic traditional Mexican place. My son and I both ordered a three taco dinner that came with rice and beans. We got a side of guacamole as well, which came with chips. Service was fast and the food was delicious. Asada and pastor tacos were great, and the guac was nice and chunky. The best thing was they gave you 4 different kinds of salsa to try with your tacos. I highly recommend a stop here rather than one of the numerous close by chain fast food joints. You won't be disappointed.

We ordered breakfast last week- a steak & egg burrito and tamale plate. Burrito was delicious and their salsas are fantastic! Had to go back for tacos tonight w/ cilantro and onion. Steak is by far my favorite- excellent portion, well-seasoned & not dry. My new favorite in the area, I think. Al pastor, carnitas, and chile relleno were also great. So glad I found a new taco spot on the way home from work. I will be back! (No pictures because I devoured the food.)

On top of that, the meat portion was extremely small--definitely not what you'd expect for the price. The tamale was another letdown. It was overpriced, tiny, super dry, and wrapped in plastic, which is honestly concerning. The rice and beans tasted like they had been cooked weeks ago and reheated multiple times. There was a noticeable styrofoam/plastic smell, and the flavor came off artificial--almost chemical-like. It barely resembled real food... more like PlayDoh. The only reason I'm giving 1 star instead of zero is because the salsa (verde and roja) was actually good. I was hope at least the customer service would make up for the food, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The cashier seemed bothered that I was even there--no warmt, no welcome, just a rushed and uncomfortable interaction. Overall, not a place I'd return

So, I stopped in during the week, just after lunch time and found this little hole-in-the wall of a restaurant conveniently nestled in a shopping center next to the local Walmart. Even though I walked in and the restaurant was completely empty, the pure vibrancy of the decor and the cheerfulness of the staff encouraged me to stay. Not to mention that the aroma making its way out from the kitchen was absolutely mouth-watering. I took a seat at the bar while I perused the menu and was delighted in the simplicity of it. You know the food is about to be fire when the menu is simple and a restaurant focuses on what it does well. In addition to the excellent service, the food was absolutely phenomenal. I started off with some chips and salsa.... which was delightfully flavorful and perfectly crisp. Then, I had a bowl of the tortilla soup. Each spoonful was like deja vu. Each bite made me feel like I was in my grandmother's kitchen as a little girl all over again. The broth was perfectly seasoned and each bite came with a chunk of chicken and an assortment of veggies... truly perfecto! Once I was done with the appetizers, I made my decision to try two tacos from the menu. The first was a salmon taco--and it didn't TASTE FISHY. It was grilled to perfection and then paired with an unexpected yet delicious topping of crispy potato strings and chipotle aioli. I ate every bite of this. It was the perfect combination of crunch and flavor, I just couldn't get enough. Then I also ordered the carne asada a cabron taco. Simple, yet dynamically flavorful. I was so full at this point but took this one home to eat at a later time. Still as amazing as the day I ordered it i'm sure. While I neglected to have any desserts or margaritas here, I was assured that they are just as remarkable as anything else. I had a wonderful meal, excellent service and I greatly look forward to going back if i'm ever in the area again for work. 10/10 Highly recommend!!

Nice that they give an ice cream dessert. Enchiladas: good portion, my son tried mole that was spread on top for the first time, he didn't like it, but it doesn't mean it wasn't good, just something new he didn't enjoy. Cactus taco: they made it right. Nice texture with the crispy beets on top. Fish taco: this was ok, it fell apart bc there were so many tomatoes on top the juice softened the corn tortilla. Salad: good but they didn't have many dressing options and the one that came with it didn't have much flavor to add. Overall, cute spot, price is a bit higher here. They have many seafood entrees, seems to be what many guests ordered so maybe thats popular here. Service was good. No issues and things came out timely.

I ordered the flautas. They were exactly what you want flautas to be: present, edible, and not causing any problems. The vegetarian tacos with avocado, however, were the sleeper hit of the evening and probably deserved more attention than they got. But let's talk about Abby. Abby was funny, fast, attentive, and somehow managed to appear at our table exactly when we needed something. More importantly, she made margaritas that tasted like they had been blessed by a tequila wizard. I'm convinced she put extra love in mine. Either that or she saw I was from out of town and decided I needed professional assistance. At one point I started wondering whether Abby actually works for Lady Dahlia or if she just travels the country improving restaurant experiences one table at a time. The food was solid. The atmosphere was great. Abby was a five-star experience trapped inside a four-star review. If every restaurant had an Abby, Yelp would go out of business because nobody would have anything to complain about.
