    Thanksgiving Feast
    Tanya P.

I have been here a few times and had good food and service. We came here to celebrate Thanksgiving with what we thought would be a nice meal. Unfortunately, I will not be back. The dining room was clean and nice. The service friendly, but was slow and all three meals came out barely warm. It was an utter disappointment especially when your "Thanksgiving Feast" was $42.

Excellent service and good quality ingredients plus well and properly cooked food. For the price, it is of appropriate value which met our expectations. We had gone to other local restaurants that sell steaks or beef on 40th streets and nearby areas. This little hidden restaurant is by far the best in the northern San Bernardino and Highland area. We do not gamble nor enjoy casino scenes. We just come here to eat. And enjoy the food and services. Ambiance is clean, orderly, and modern. No crazy carpets as one may see inside Yaamava casino, no loud music, no slot machine bombardment. They welcome none hotel customers, who just like their food. This we appreciate.

My wife and I love this little place - well both little places. The nice restaurant, and the little lounge off to the side. The restaurant offers a nice, somewhat fancy-feel dining experience with high quality food selections and very good service. The little lounge has a cool vibe with really nice bartenders and they usually have live music on the weekends. They serve food and snacks in both spots so you can't lose. I left pictures of the food we have tried, and the nice smoked old fashioned they make. (Very smokey, but very yummy) If you live here in Highland, you don't need to go far for great food and a great bar!

Thank you over the top hospitality and great team at Bear Springs Bistro for celebrating a holiday spirit in the Inland Empire.

Delicious fusion item and dessert Excellent hospitality service Only did not like the short rib birria ramen, too salty and not much meat in the dish.

Hello friends! So recently, I have learned an important lesson - that even a familiar dish can still be surprisingly beautiful, if prepared with love by the kitchen that serves it. The Loco Moco dish at the Bistro at Bear Springs Hotel the is the epitome of what comfort food should be. I had often seen this dish here and on other menus but never really felt tempted to try it, always opting for the more traditional breakfast entrees like eggs and bacon or pancakes instead. But this overcast weekend morning, I was famished and asked my trusted server Emma what she recommended. And she brought me the Loco Moco. This meal is, essentially - warmth and heartiness wrapped up in a hug - in a dish. I will forever be grateful to young Emma for introducing this into my life. The Loco Moco came out looking beautiful, a beef patty served with a mushroom and chive garnished brown gravy served alongside a a scrambled egg rosette and some lovely crispy rice. The delicate scrambled egg rosette was so light and fluffy and perfectly seasoned and cooked. I demolished it immediately! The patty was thick and juicy, medium temperature just like I specified and the gravy was present but not overbearing- it was just enough to be truly satisfying. All of the veggies - the mushrooms, the finely chopped carrots and asparagus in the rice and the side of broccolini were all tender and perfectly seasoned. The thick patty was delicious and the gravy was savory without being overwhelming. This hearty dish is also served with broccolini and three generous pieces of fried pork belly, drizzled with spicy mayo. The crispy rice was cleanly cooked and even finely chopped veggies in the rice were perfectly tender. I will be forever grateful to Emma and to the chef who prepared my Loco Moco breakfast this morning. And I hope they understand that this meal will now be the yardstick by which I measure all other versions of this dish. My only regret is that I have not tried sooner. The service at The Bistro has always been top notch and they are maintaining this tradition. Recently, Chef Kyle has overhauled the menu and created many new exciting dishes and offerings to try. So don't forget to make reservations or just drop in for breakfast at the Bistro and tell them Ms. Ross sent you!

What a hidden gem in Highland, CA. I'm so glad we walked out of Applebees to experience this amazing place. The food and service were excellent. The ambience is really nice. They treat you so wonderfully here and didn't judge us on our appearance which means a lot to me. Thank you to everyone who made our meal such a wonderful experience.

Pork Chop smothered in country gravy

Tired of casino food. We went here confident that they would have better food....Yes! We weren't' disappointed! We started with their super delicious Apple Cinnamon Roll...my friend and I had the Pork chop smothered in country gravy with a sunny side egg on top and crispy O'Brien potatoes .... very delicious!!!! I wonder why this chef was hired here. Instead of Yaamava?

It's a perfect place for a date or a night out with friends or family. The focal point of the main dining room is the bar, which faces the restaurant's entrance. Meticulously designed with a nostalgic feel, the bar features blonde wood shelves holding hundreds of vinyl records, carefully curated design objects, and a DJ booth neatly tucked into a corner next to the bar. The beer taps are elegantly minimalist, and every detail in the bar--for example, the old-fashioned glass syrup bottles--seems planned to give a nod to history (specifically the late 19th century, when Redlands was founded). The main dining room offers plenty of comfortable seating choices, including a long bar along the center of the room. The patio is spacious and well kept. All of the spaces inside and out have music piped in from the bar. There are two restrooms just off the patio, and these are well-maintained. On busy nights, patrons can enjoy a drink in a standing bar area just off the patio. I love that the Overland provides a choice of setting depending on the kind of night you're planning. A romantic date? Get a reservation to sit inside, and it feels intimate. Just hanging out? The bar is fun as the mixologists make excellent drinks and friendly conversation. Sitting at the bar after 7 PM, you can watch the DJs spin the platters. If you have a larger group or just like to eat alfresco, the patio is perfect. The menu offers a really nice variety of drinks, including the pricier craft cocktails, more classic, moderately priced beverages, nonalcoholic drinks, and all sorts of beer and wine. The food menu is solid, with plenty of appetizers, salads, entrées, and a dessert. The real star is the tacos! These are very moderately priced at seven dollars apiece, and all three varieties are delicious! There is a potato taco, a beef taco, and pork chili Verde taco. I highly recommend these! The green salsa they provide is extremely mild, but they do have a variety of hot sauces on hand. It's worth mentioning that even a humble plate of tacos is served on nice ceramic dishes, along with good flatware and napkins. The espresso martini cheesecake is creamy and delicious, and the portion is really generous. The staff seem to enjoy working at the Overland. The servers work hard to make sure your order is to your liking, and food comes out pretty fast. There's a good sense of teamwork among them. The staff is also accommodating about seating or any special requests. We've been there on a busy Friday night, and on a Sunday evening and late night. The Overland is always at least moderately busy, so reservations are strongly recommended. The city of Redlands should be very proud of this establishment. Go and have fun!

We made reservations for four, and as soon as we arrived, we were seated right away, which was a great start. Unfortunately, I noticed a few cleanliness issues almost immediately. The tables were pretty dusty, and the glass water cups we were given still had food residue on them. One even had what looked like a lipstick mark on the rim. I let our waitress know, and she apologized and quickly brought us new glasses. Those were still dirty as well, with (food residue) so I asked if she could replace them again. After the third attempt, the glasses finally came out spotless. It seemed like there may have been an issue with the dishwasher filter?, but I really appreciated how kind and apologetic our waitress was throughout the entire situation. The drinks were good overall. I ordered a couple of nonalcoholic drinks, and they were refreshing and flavorful. We also tried the cheese fries and the fried onion, and both were really tasty. Overall, I'd give this place a 6/10. The rough start with the cleanliness definitely affected the experience, but the service helped make up for it. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making things right, and that went a long way. I absolutely loved the vibe and the music, and I think this place has a lot of potential. I'd definitely be willing to give it another try because I think it could be a great spot for a fun night out.

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We enjoyed our one cocktail each here and just had great conversation. It was a fun night because of the company, and also because we had a little adventure going to two amazing places!

We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.
