Taco King would never be my first choice in Mexican but it is always a solid choice. The staff is friendly and the tacos taste good...not fantastic but they are good. The one thing that always bothers me when I get home with my food is the lack of effort that seems to go in to their tacos. This place is so amazing. Why can't it be cheaper. I guess you get what you pay for. Okay so this place is like really really good when your ready for some real tacos. I come here when I want to treat myself. Their tacos you cannot let it sit for too long because their taco shell will get soft fast. That's how authentic this place is. The quesadillas are so good. I get the plain steak and cheese and then I get a side of salsa. Fantastic. If i want to REALLY treat myself I'll to the king special tostada salad which included shrimp steak and chicken in a tostada bowl. The shrimp is jumbo sized and so flavorful. But it's like $20 so I've only had it like twice unfortunately. My advice is to call your order in so it can be ready if your doing takeout. They are really friendly there. This place is dynamite. I'm there at least once a week. The chicken and steak fajitas are pretty much all I get. I occasionally sneak in a hard shell taco. But what I like the most about this place is it's always consistent. I'm determined to try there 15 taco in last in hour throw down. The food was OK, I was hoping it would be more flavorful. I got a chicken taco and 2 beef (chili) tacos. The chicken one was pretty bland; the beef had more flavor, but still not the best I've had. Adding the different sauces (hot, tomatillo, etc.) helped. I will say that I was starving when I got to the restaurant and was stuffed full after 3 tacos. They pack the tacos full of ingredients and all of the veggies inside were fresh. The customer service was good, the female cashiers were helpful and friendly. The restaurant has enough tables to seat several small groups (2-3 people each) and was very clean. The prices were great, about $2 per taco. I would definitely try this place again, but maybe try the fajita style meats. read more

Spend $70 on a delievery order. received 2 chicken instead of beef tacos. Called spoke with SUSan the owner. I explained the situation and INSTEAD OF APOLOGIZING SHE ASK'S OH YOU DONT LIKE CHICKEN !?!? She asked if I had opened then yet I said yes and saw the chicken. She wanted the tacos BACK! I gave them back to the delievery driver which made me feel worse because I am worried they are going to give it to someone else. I like this Asian-run taco joint. How often might one get a chance to say that? The food tastes fresh, the staff are friendly and clean, and everything is plated/wrapped neatly. Maybe it's not so traditionally Mexican, and it remains fast food, but each component tastes good and I like that it all feels much lighter than you would get at other places where they slop on lots of sauce and cheese. read more

I LOVE THEIR GROUND BEEF TACOS! They make the best tacos in town. Everything I have tried here is really good- quesadillas, burritos, and nachos. Try the chicken quesadilla supreme, or black bean burrito! If you are ordering take-out I would just reccomend that you check your order/bag before you leave... they have forgotten to put some items in the bag on at least 3 occasions. I will have to say that I think taco bell would be a better place to eat than here. The food had no flavor. I tried the shrimp tacos and the beef tacos and I was extremely disappointed. Once my order was ready my food was cold. And it was just made!!! I won't be back for fake tacos, nothing about this place is authentic Mexican food. Taco kind has great food! Much better and healthier then taco bell. I always get 1 chili taco and 1 steak. It's absolutely delicious. I wish they had better deserts though. One thing I have a problem with is some people that work here can't speak English and a couple of times they messed up my order which pissed me off. So I take off one star for that. Love their tacos! They use real big chunks of steak in their steak tacos and their chips and salsa are good and fresh. Their service is usually quick and efficient. Discovered an amazing way to make the soft tacos taste so much better. Normally I take the tacos home to eat rather than dining in. And I prefer soft tacos more than the hard shell so I know this advice definitely works for the soft tacos. Anyway, when getting home, I put the soft tacos in the oven for about 5-8 minutes on a warm temperature. This makes the cheese melt (normally isn't melted when given to me), and the flavor in the meat and onions just burst out. Trust me, it taste sooo much better this way!! I would have been happy to prepay. Last week I call to place order and the person said to hold. The food is fresh and tasty and priced under expectation. The place is clean and counter people nice. They will alter any item to your liking, Vegans pay attention to that point.
