I've been there twice in the past two months with a friend of mine in the middle of the day when there was no other tables in there. Both times we were totally ignored when we walked in nobody said anything service for our drinks was incredibly slow considering there was nobody else in the restaurant. I asked for a bloody Mary and they didn't have any bloody Mary mix so the guy actually went next door to get some for me. Seriously? It irritates me to no end to also have to sit there and watch all the servers hang out by the bar and laugh and joke while our drinks been sitting at the bar for an hour. This being said I blame this all on the manager he must be a very slack manager because they certainly don't claim their floors as my feet stuck all the way out to the floor that is. Don't waste your time going here maybe the one on Holcomb bridge is better but this is the worst example of non customer service I've ever seen in my life and I was in customer service for over 30 years. :-) read more

Don't waste your time or money. $3 Cafe has so much better wings and blue cheese dressing it isn't even close. Buffallo Wild Wings isnt that far away. The server was eager to get our drink order and appetizer order that she came to the table immediately after we sat down. We asked for a minute and she came back almost exactly a minute later and asked "you ready yet". We ordered our drinks and The Queso con Carne. The beer came out in warm glasses. Which was alright since the beer itself was cold,I suppose. Then we received our appetizer. A basket with burnt chips and what looked like a pile of dog food surrounded by cheese and grease with diced tomatoes on top. Unfortunately, it looked better than it tasted. The waitress did talk to the manager and have it removed. She offered some salsa and we could keep the chips, which was fine. However, she brought back a small cup of salsa that a chip couldn't fit in but when we broke a chip to dip it into the salsa we found a long hair. So we politely pushed it aside anyway. We then asked for 10 medium wings. Well the sauce was thick and tasted like spiced bbq sauce. Not what we expected with medium hot wings. The service here absolutely SUCKS!!!! We manage to get a beer a piece with our food and when I ordered the second one after 15 minutes was told the tap was out. I ate here for lunch the other day with a friend. Located in a strip mall, parking is abundant. I have been to this location more than once now, and it has never been slammed. I really like Taco Mac for their queso (especially with tortillas) and their wings. What I don't love about Taco Mac is their consistency. When they are good they are good, but sometimes they are so-so and sometimes they are even bad. This location is typically in the okay range. I have never had a bad experience here, but nothing great. This past visit I ordered 6 wings hot and french fries. Service was fine. Nothing bad or great. My fries were super fresh. I found my wings a little fattier than average. I'll be back as it is a convenient spot to meet friends for lunch and like I said I am a fan of Taco Mac queso and wings. While I am very aware of the impact Covid-19 has had on the restaurant business - poor service is just poor service. There were at least 4 servers with only a few patrons. We (3) of us sat outside, waited almost an hour for our food. My daughter went inside to check on the status of the food and found the wait staff all sitting around a high table having a good ole time. No apologies when she finally brought our food. I was willing to let it go until ... I found a long hair in my food. . Manager apologized but didn't seem too disturbed, offered to get me something else... hmmm no thanks. Our waitress never came to see if we needed anything. I had to go inside and ask for our bill. Again, don't blame poor service on Covid. This review is from a few months ago. So sorry to say this. This place is gross. Sticky floors and table tops. Just seems so greasy. The wings were nasty. Thick skin and not fully cooked. 0 Stars for SURE! What's worse, is that this was a To-Go Order. Its tough to botch an order for pick-up, but they managed to do so. No customer service. No sense of urgency. No greeting. Not even a thank you. Similar to other posts, staff too busy talking with each other to actually take care of customers. For some background, we have been loyal patrons to this Taco Mac location for over 10 years,. We used to frequent this location at least 2x/wk. The staff, as well as the food, was solid. So good, that regardless of the time of day, it was always a good time to go to Taco Mac. Over the past few years, things have gone south. First it was the beer selection that was cut. Then, it is was the late hours that were cut. Small, but significant. But the service and food still kept you coming back. We found out that the management changed and that brought about an entire staff change as well. Sadly, poor service is now the norm. We have gone less, and each time, there's yet another thing that has been sub-par. Too long to get a server to your table. Too long to get drinks refilled or another round of drinks. Too few servers. Too many tables not cleared from the last guests. But still, the food and the convenient location made us give it another try. This last visit was the worst - and the last! This time, even the food was bad. Several wings were not fully cooked, like medium rare. If bloody wings weren't bad enough, another 4 of the 10 drums were broken / sawed in half. Only held together by the fried breading. The fries were cold, despite the order being packed right in front of me. And don't get me started on the "new" chips. Since the last few years, they break under the weight of plain cheese dip, not to mention nachos. It's sad that things have come to this. But our only recourse is to hopefully save others the trouble. What makes it even worse is this type of experience has been had before - and it's been at at least 2 other locations. In fact, after belly-aching to a few of my friends, they have shared the exact same sentiments on the service, and yes, the bloody wings at the location off of Medlock Bridge. In closing, I want to thank the former staff of years ago and all the memories and games and good wings - and way too much beer - that was enjoyed. Your current day counter parts have done you a huge injustice. I also would like to mention that if you are looking for a better alternative, Marlow's Tavern is great. Both the Old Alabama location and the Avalon location have consistently taken care of me & my family on numerous occasions. So long Taco Mac. read more

Previously gave this Taco Mac 4 stars, they have really slipped. Now instead of Coke they have the NASTY freestyle machines. I don't know what that crap is but it's NOT coke. The last couple of visits have been cold, super-salty fries, soggy bread and a floor that is really sticky in spots and really slippery (greasy) in spots. Don't order takeout here, you'll still have to wait 20 min when you get there to pick it up, thus assuring all of your food is cold. Please, please get rid of the freestyle machines, they are terrible and the reason you're getting 2 stars instead of 3. They had a shit ton of beers, which I have to say, is the only reason Taco Mac gets such a big thumbs up in my book. The only downside, which I guess is minor, because you can just go to drink, is that I don't really like Taco Mac's food. I have had it in several locations, and, well, it just doesn't do it for me. Never mind the name. This is not just a Taco joint. They do have a few tacos on the menu but this is a sports bar through and through. We dined here on the way through Atlanta while visiting friends. We were looking for simple, broad variety (for the kids) and family friendly. This definitely fits the request. Think Buffalo Wild Wings meets TGI Fridays. The menu included everything from Tacos, to buffalo wings, to burgers and steaks. At this particular location, parking was easy. There is a large parking lot. The environment though was very loud. With little to dampen the sound and large number of TVs. I tried buffalo wings and the beer battered fish tacos. The wings were decent sized with a good flavor. As usual very messy but good. I really enjoyed the fish tacos. They were also decent sized with a wonderful aloe sauce that gave it a little spice but smooth flavor. I probably should have ordered the tacos alone. Overall a great place but really nothing spectacular. Good food for a chain restaurant that is NOT a Taco joint! Maybe they'll add a franchise in Missouri soon. read more

Went with a friend to watch the third place World Cup game. + Quick and Excellent Service Plenty of well-located televisions The lemon-peppered wings were decently flavorful and priced - Being not of age, I couldn't try the HUGE selection of alcohol they had. Each wing has the right amount of sauce and well, it's just one of those places where you find yourself in a delicious hot mess that's OUT of bed ;) Enough of the buffalo wings! I MUST TALK ABOUT THE FRIES! I'm quite the french fries connoisseur. I love fries. And Taco Mac understands this. You know how I know? Because they give me QUALITY FRIES. Not only are they not too crispy or too soft, but they have this AWESOME seasoning. I don't know why we keep going back here. It is close to home, but more often than not there is something that goes wrong. This afternoon it was the staff and kitchen. It took over an hour and two waitpersons before we even placed our order. We got appetizers without a huge wait, but it was another 40 minutes before we had to ask for another server since we hadn't seen ours since delivering the appetizers and first round of drinks. The manger apologized and the next waiter took our order quickly enough. It was another 20 minutes before the kitchen sent the food out. And the Cole slaw of all things "was being made fresh" and would be "right out". Well, I was long done with my meal and was helping myself to a third wing from the shared pile before I saw it. It was not very crowded. There were several empty tables and they were not understaffed. Oh, and the manager never came back out to check on us. They were however, glad to take the $100 that the bill came to. Other experiences include the air conditioning not working on a hot summer day and no one would admit it until we paid and were going out the door. On several occasions we have sent food back to be heated up so the cheese dip would at least be melted. And though their fries are great, it is a crapshoot if they are hot. read more

I've been to a good number of different taco mac locations around town and this one seems like one of the better ones even if it was one of the harder ones to find. Once i found it, i think this will be my go to T-Mac in the alpharetta area. I like that if feels more bar and less like a family resturant than some other locations and the staff is very friendly. The bar is a very different layout than some of the newer locations. i really like that its a bit different, i get tired of the same old thing at every location i go to. The beer selection is good. The other TM location in alpharetta over on wynward has a pretty crappy selection but this one more than makes up for it. They had some nice rarities that i haven't had yet as well as some old standbyes that everyone drinks. The bartender was new but very nice and helpful and my food was out very quickly. The food.... a lot of people don't like the food at Taco Mac. I am not one of those people. its very good for what it is. This place is not Chops or Rathbun's people, its a bar, go here to drink and use the food to suck up all that alcohol, it does a good job of that. The burgers are good, the wings are pretty good, most ofher things are pretty damn tasty too, except dessert, i don't eat it so i won't judge it but the other stuff, i've never really been let down. Get over it foodies, you want delicious haute cusine this is not your place, go somewhere else. But if you want to watch foodball and drink beer why not munch on some tasty wings or nachos. read more

Nuts and bolts: Hanging out after The Killers concert at Verizon Amphitheatre. We were supposed to meet my boyfriend's friends. Given the timing of the concert, I was starving after the show. Order: Steak caesar salad, soda, burger with mushrooms/bacon/caramelized onions, onion rings, smores brownie, beer. Pros: Our service was very nice and checked in just the right amount of time. The caesar salad was HUGE and tasted pretty good. It needed more dressing, but our waitress gladly brought some more out for us. My boyfriend really liked the steak on the salad, but I found it to be too tough and overcooked. There is Coke Freestyle. :-) Cons: Let me state upfront that I do not enjoy going to Taco Mac. I have never liked any of the food that I have tried. (Thank God for the salad mentioned above). The burger was just terrible. We saved it, but my boyfriend said he was going to wait until he was starving to eat the rest of it. The onion rings, though crispy, were overcooked and some of them were BURNT. Terrible. The smores brownie is probably the worst dessert I have ever eaten. A big warning sign should have been when the waitress said they microwave the brownies to soften them up. The brownie was too dry and wasn't even warm by the time I got it. And the chocolate drizzle tasted funny. Waste of money and calories. Takehome message: My boyfriend says, "you only go to Taco Mac for the beer." I concur. But if I HAVE to go, I'l stick to the salad. read more

I have had much better experience at this location. Today the temperature of the drinks, the food, and the service was in the same range! Cold to Lukewarm! It took 10 minutes for the server to appear and take our order. We ordered the Original Burger with Mexican Street Corn as a side and 6 Roasted wings with Onion Rings. It was at best Lukewarm. I came to this TMac after a wing craving. As soon as you walk in it smells like a dirty mop!!! Very off putting. We had to sit outside because it smelled so bad. Ordered lemon pepper wings with fries and they did not fulfill my craving like I hoped they would. The seasoning wasn't distributed evenly, so a quarter of the wings were bare and I was essentially eating fried chicken. The server was very nice though so she gets a 5/5, but this establishment has been very hit or miss for me the past two years. read more

Our wait person was lovely, and she really did try to accommodate to the best of her ability. Almost a sports bar, superb beer list, really good (teenage) staff. I've been coming here for years, and even though it gets a LITTLE crappier every two years or so (i don't think it's this place in particular, but the franchise in general), it's still a great place to try out some new local or foreign brews. If it wasn't for Taco Mac, I'd have no idea that GA supports a pretty industrious and high-quality craft-brew culture. And even though I'd never order a cocktail here, they DO get in some nice bottles of rye and bourbon every so often. Good on the rocks. I don't really like any of the food here. The wings are decent at best. Their salsa is salty as fuck but kind of goes down well with the beer. I order it a lot. Their burgers and weak-ass mexican plates are not for me. Tons of TVs pumping out sports of all kinds. The service is also really excellent somehow, despite the fact that all the employees look like they're 17 - sorry to the few 20-somethings among you, but you're teen'ish by association. Even though I don't live in GA, I do end up spending a lot of time down here, and this feels as much as my go-to bar as it gets for me. read more

This restaurant continues to be the black sheep of Taco Macs. No offense to Black sheep everywhere. I ordered takeout last night. Upon inspection there were four mistakes with our five item order. One mistake required fixing twice. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told the manager was busy and could not talk to me. In an empty restaurant, busy doing what, you might ask. Not managing, that's for sure. Overheard the hostess saying "can you believe I get paid $40 to be on my phone?". That sums it up folks. Walked in and waiting a while to get seated. When we finally got seated it took our waiter 10 minutes to finally come and take our drink order. I ordered a Bud Light pitcher for myself and the waiter seemed fine with it. Another 10 minutes go by and the manager comes out, she tells me that they can't sell me a pitcher that I'm not going to share.
