I've been coming here for about 9 years now. I've had one or two bad experiences but mostly good. Bartenders can be slow, but it is usually pretty busy. My biggest complaint is that the bar is constantly full with no place to sit, but that's not really their fault. Food is about what you'd expect from a sports bar. Nothing amazing, nothing horrible. Had some wings with sweet-potato fries they were average size and had great flavor, but when I went to order a Beer they had some many selections I ended up ordering a sampler of 4 then Order my fav for the meal. I honestly don't understand how another human being could serve this burnt inedible mess. I mean they know what food is right? They know what burnt food is right? Southstreet chicken philly is one of their signature dishes. It's a super simple philly cheese steak sandwich NO BRAINER. Yet the "cook" in the back sent out this burnt mess WTF! I mean they jacked the prices 50 percent in a total anti-American price gouging move so for 14 dollars now for this smaller sandwich I didn't expect to be 25 percent SMALLER and this awful and horrible. The bun had to be at least 10 days old dry and crumbly. A dry burnt cheese steak sandwich really? How does the manager let this go out to be eaten? Is he totally incompetent or really just hates Taco Mac and the customers? My sweet ICED tea had 10 ice cubes in it, the pickle was under the french fries, Seriously? Who does that? They do hire professional cooks right? People with training an idea what food is? The Manager was no where to be found so I ate the fries and about a third of the sandwich the waitress couldn't have cared less. We will add Taco Mac to the list of restaurants to never eat at again along with Olive Garden, and Mama Lucia's who doubled their prices. Went for lunch yesterday. It was OK. Hostess was ok. She wasn't friendly, but wasn't unfriendly. Said we wanted a booth, but gave us a table instead. I thought maybe she heard us wrong and told her we asked for a booth and she was a bit quick to say that we couldn't get one because we needed a high chair. I don't mind not sitting at a booth, but her tone wasn't the warmest. The waiter was nice, but he seemed stressed out. Felt bad for him because he was trying, but seemed very distressed. Now the food. My husband and I ordered the pretzel and calamari as appetizers. Pretzel was delicious. Sauce with it was just normal Dijon mustard and microwaveable cheese you'd get from a pretzel stand at the mall. Calamari came out late so it was warm.... but the sauce was DISGUSTING. There is no seasoning on the calamari either so it just tastes like you're eating oil. Our burgers were Luke warm. My husband had the mushroom steak burger. He says it was ok. Nothing special. I had some special "brought back" item with beer battered bacon. It was ok. My son had Mac and cheese which they originally forgot to bring out so we had to ask for it. Wing sauce was good (honey Chipotle) but the wings were not off of a fully grown chicken, or atleast that's what they looked like. Also, some of the wings were over done and dry. Yesterday 10/16/2020 I came in and had 2 orders of the quesadillas. Call back today and spoke with the manager Andrew he was rude and yelled at me over the phone. Very unprofessional for a manager I don't see why he even works here and represent taco mac. Went in to pick up my order he looked at my me strange and its pretty obvious he had a problem with mask that said BLACK LIVES MATTER and I'm a black man. So that explains why his tone was rude with me on the phone. Let me start by saying I'm a Taco Mac fan. I love the concept as it reminds me of a Flying Saucer a little bit as it has a phenomenal beer menu and a pint night where you buy the pint of the month and get to keep the glass. That's where the comparison ends. The Flying Saucer is quirky and their staff are generally very knowledgeable about their beers. Some Taco Macs have knowledgeable staff but this one doesn't as their wait staff is constantly turning over which is one of the problems with this Taco Mac in particular. The service is just OK bordering on awful when it gets busy. My opinion is that Newnan is growing so fast that service almost everywhere in this town is just like this. It's not Taco Macs' fault any more than the service that you used to get at the Chili's and Fridays that have both recently closed. It's just a factor of the town it's located in. The service I can live with but the bigger problem I have is that it that their beer menu states one thing but the reality is that they are constantly running out of the beers on their menu. I understand that it's tough to say that you have 100 beers on tap and always have the ability to have a backup keg of each type so that when you run out, you change the keg and are back in business. What I find is that if you're a fan of niche beers like I am, you better have 3 choices ready as it's almost invariable that your server will come back saying they're out of your first choice. I'm not basing this on a single visit or two- when this place opened up, we'd go there several times a month and it didn't take long for this pattern to develop. We've complained to the Taco Mac corporate office and they now put a sheet in the beer menu with the new selections and those they're out of but even that isn't reflective of the current stock. I still go there once or twice a month when they have their pint night or if they have a keg of something I can't get anywhere else. It's disappointing that this location has to be the bad apple in the Taco Mac chain. read more

I'm not one to typically post a negative review, however the last several times I have eaten here have been less than good. The service seems to get worse and worse every time we go. My husband got ordered 3 different beers before finally finding on that was actually on tap. One that was out was even left on our bill even though he never received it and the waitress seem annoyed at being asked to take it off the bill. The queso con carna which has always been my favorite was very very greasy and had next to no actual cheese in it. I was in Newnan (Lord help me) and craving crappy food, so naturally I thought of Taco Mac. Here's the breakdown as I see it: Pros: - Tons and tons and tons of beer choices. Of course, they didn't have the exact one I wanted, but they had one by the same brewing company, so I got that. - Lots of TVs showing sports. Yes, I like this. - Open layout that gives me kind of a vacation-y feeling. I generall dislike places that feel dark and cramped. - Service was adequate. That's as high as I'm willing to go on the praise scale, but we weren't neglected. Cons: - The food was, as always, just a little odd. Their nachos tasted like they had chili on them. Chili doesn't go on nachos unless they're described as such. Chili and taco meat are not one and the same, guys. - The wings were ok, but they need more sauce on them. Eating wings should be a messy affair. And there's little too much honey in the sauce for me. The "hot" could use more heat, too. So, beer and TVs: good. Food and service: mediocre at best. Just walking in the door was a reminder of a "perfect" formula for a successful restaurant; an assault of t.v.s, red brick walls, high ceilings, burgers, lots of beer, and some video games for the kids. There is something to please everyone. Ordinarily this isn't my bag, but adding Mexican to the formula gave this some appeal. It's the one type of cuisine that I actually love to get from a chain, especially when they are cheesing it up and adding extra heat and cumin. This was one of those flavorful places. The queso dip had some shredded cheese on top. It had a nice fairly sharp flavor and the salsa was a spicy compliment. The crunchy beef taco is pretty standard fare and the meat was really well seasoned. The texture of the skirt steak in the burrito was about as good as it gets. It did make me wish I had gotten fajitas, just to have more. read more

TRAIN WRECK .... With fatalities... I have not posted a review in NINE YEARS so I hope this proves that I am not one to log in a bash a company or business. Tonight is Mother's Day so it warrants a post. I can count on one hand how many times I have left little to no tip due to poor service but Taco Mac in Newnan takes the prize. Let me try to sum up the experience. My sister wanted to go to Taco Mac for Mother's Day so the family of 9 went "all in" to make her feel special. Our waitress was Nikki. They were not crowded AT ALL so we felt as though we had an opportunity to make the Mother's in the group feel special. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Some of the table received drinks, some did not. Some people received a refill of water, some did not. That was just the beginning. We ended up busing our own table because no one would clean it off and we needed more space. Then some people ordered more drinks... as the pattern goes, some people received drinks and some did not. The meals did not come out correctly. They were not as ordered (and the order was not difficult... "dressing on the side" should not be a challenge). There was even one person in our party that NEVER received food. At the end, they actually brought the food out with the check... to go of course. In the past 7-10 years, Newnan has grown into a great city with many restaurants. There are several choices you can make that serve great food, a fantastic atmosphere and superior service. There is absolutely no reason you should dine anywhere in the surrounding area that warrants this type of service or behavior. If you feel like you MUST choose from an exotic beer menu such as Taco Mac, I HIGHLY recommend you drive 11 miles down the street to Peachtree City or 23 miles to the location n Douglasville. It is worth every nickel of gas just so you do not have to experience the Taco Mac in Newnan in Ashley Park. Don't walk past the restaurant when visiting the surrounding shopping centers... speed, drive fast, gasp in horror and run as fast as you can from Taco Mac in Newnan. read more

Always great atmosphere! Bar area is where I usually always go, it's always nice to watch sports / highlights while just seeing all the selection of beers. Great bartender Sam always on point constant checking in seeing how everything is. Has a corner game room for kids to grab toys and all. Outdoor vibes on a summer afternoon, very nice. We ate at Taco Mac last night. It took over an hour to get our first drink orders, and almost 3 to get our food. The waitress was unapologetic and when management finally stepped in it was like leading animal to their slop! It took another 45 minutes to get our checks. This may be an aberration but we were a fairly large group prepared to drop money for some beer. We did not have high expectations for food and service, but come on... I've eaten out a good chunk of my life and this by far was the worst, and most appalling service I have ever had. It will be one place in Newnan I will avoid like the plague. I will drink Natty lights first than cross its threshold ever again. My husband and I were thoroughly pissed off at the waste of time, and how it actually ruined a lovely date night. Seemed like the only thing the bartender was trying to sell was her looks and not the beer. She threw the beer on the bar and for the next 45 minutes I didn't exist. The beer tasted spoiled too. Pretty good selection at taco Mac, can get a little pricey at times. Best beer selection around and tacos are very good. The street corn is probably the worst thing I've ever put on my mouth though. Been to this location a few times now. The food is generally good. If you've never been to a Taco Mac before, think Chili's: more American than Mexican options. Service can be hit or miss depending on the time of day. The servers themselves are friendly, but they don't ever seem to have enough staff on hand during their busiest times. After a bad experience in the ladies restroom watching an employee leave the stall fully knowledgeable that there was no more toilet paper, and then fail to let the customers aware of this as they headed into the same stall, I walked back to my table to experience a continuation of this Taco Mac nightmare. We ordered our food, and waited patiently despite a long wait, to only be welcomed with cold food, dry/over-cooked wings, and a buffalo burger with no buffalo sauce. Moreover, hubby and I, during our anniversary weekend, are leaving indefinitely dissatisfied. On the way home, my husband also became sick which he contributes to the chicken he consumed. Went here tonight for dinner with some friends. I've been here fairly regularly for the past 15 years and we've always enjoyed the restaurant. The staff here has always been great and tonight was no exception. Amelia was our waitress and was awesome. The beer was cold and was served promptly. The only downfall of the night was the food. Two of them ordered chicken sandwiches, which were both over cooked and bland. Also, I would not recommend the veggie burger. I have absolutely no idea why this place has such a low rating. I am extremely happy that my friend suggested the place. It was delicious. I love a good spinach artichoke dip and there's was delectable! And the fact that they put garlic salt on their chips set it off! Amazing! I also had The Kenmore burger with no bun, again amazing! As far as chain sports bar place go this is a nice average place. They wings are always consistent. They will even fry them harder for you if you ask. They don't have the usual staff turnover you think of when you think of chain restaurants, so if you go in pretty regularly they remember you. Of course being a beer aficionado is a bonus if you go here. They keep over 70 beers on tap (maybe even more?). And as I stated they service is usually adequate or better.
