There is ALWAYS some "issue with the kitchen". For three years, there is an issue with the kitchen being slow, they are new, or they are backed up with hardly anyone in the place. Started eating at taco Macs 3 years ago. I always get the salmon with mango chilli sauce. It use to be good but has gradually gotten worse. Last week ended my trips to taco mac. The salmon was just a dry piece with no sauce. I asked for mango sauce or something and the waitress brought a cup of dry chilli powder. The Fry's were way over cooked and the Brussels sprouts were burnt to a black crisp. Told the waitress how bad it was and she didn't even offer to get manager. Had to wade water to use restroom. At first we were told that we would have no wait for 3 people ( we quickly realized that was a lie). After 30 minutes we were finally seated in a booth directly underneath the air conditioning. After another 45 minutes we get our food that was sub par at best. A chicken salad that we were told was going to have oven hot chicken and when it came out was stone cold, then we got another grilled chicken plate that was way over seasoned with salt and due to the air conditioning the rice I got was cold. Luv the lemon and pepper dry wings. I always get them 1 time extra crispy. Yes that's how I order it, if u do not specify they will be hard as a rock. First timer at Taco Mac around 5:15pm , Wait time was not terrible about 15-20 was quoted to be seated. We were sat at the 20 min. The food and service is where the issues were, The waitress did not put in my alcoholic beverage to the bar.. when I did get it I received a strawberry that was moldy... I suggest check your fruits. The wait time for appetizers was about 30 mins. Imo that may be long and then maybe 10 mins after that we received our dinner. Which didn't give us time to enjoy the apps. The food was ok... but we didn't get to enjoy the full experience because some of the items we ordered for our meal such as no Mayo on a bun for my wife's burger came with Mayo. No big deal just get a new top bun, but that took about 10 mins :(. I ordered caramelized onions on my burger and I received raw onions. :x Unfortunately raw onions to me do not taste good as to why I ordered the caramelized. The waitress put in an order for caramelized onions but 20 mins had passed and my burger went cold by that time we just politely asked for the check. . The manager came to the table and did ask what he could do to allow our experience to be better but at the time we were just upset and ready to leave. Excellent service! Great, fresh, hot, tasty food. Food came out extremly fast and correct. Management was coming around checking and making sure things were running smoothly. The only thing that was wrong with the whole experience, they were out of the first draft choice. However, that was probably more of a supplier's issue than the restaurant's. So terrible. Went at 1pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was maybe at 30% capacity. We ordered queso and it was cold and congealed. We ordered 2 meals: wings/fries and nachos. We were told the wait could be longer than normal but we decided to try it. 45 minutes later they said it would be another 30 minutes. We decided to cancel the order and leave. I can understand this if it were packed but there were maybe 15 tables taken in the entire place. So my family has been going here for years. Had great management and was very attentive. Since Covid it has gone down hill. They can never seat the restaurant because always understaffed. The wait for food is almost always an hour and the order is never right. My kid just wants a plain burger. Every time without fail they put ketchup. Not sure how it gets screwed up. Today our fries were also left off the order. I asked for my dressing on the side and that wad screwed up. It wouldn't be such a big deal if it didn't happen every time. We came to Taco Mac today for the first time. I have to say we were very impressed. We were greeted immediately and seated. The place was clean and welcoming. Our waitress was friendly and was quick to come to the table. Food: we ordered the pretzel with cheese and mustard and pimento cheese dip. It was delicious. The pimento cheese is life changing. I normally do not like pimento cheese but this was amazing. My husband ordered their boneless wings (tangy honey) and tater tots with ranch dressing. The dressing tasted homemade. He really liked the seasoning in the wings. I ordered the chicken nachos junk bowl style. That is where they put the cheese and toppings all together in a bowl and the chips and salsa in the side. They were phenomenal. It was so much food we couldn't even eat it all and ended up getting Togo boxes. Service: the service was fantastic from beginning to end. Our waitress was familiar with the menu and very helpful. One of the things we always judge on is weather my husbands cup goes empty because he drinks a lot. She was always on top of that with a smile. Overall: I highly recommend this place. It has many options for any diet and the food is delicious. We will come back every time we are in town. After a good family night at the movies. My kids wanted to try Taco MAC... We always eat BWW when we are in Newnan so we wanted to mix it up... worst decision ever. We were a party of 10 so we expected delays, even though the restaurant was NOT packed by far!... Apps took about 45 mins... cool no worries (except they were cold) we didn't complain though... just kept the food and moved on. Food came out about an hour later. I ordered Salmon... everyone else got wings. Our food was PHYSICALLY cold to the touch smh. We sent it back after 15 mins of trying to get someones attention... they said they'd remake the wings and it would take about 10 mins. It took 45mins-1 hr. I was prepared to leave all the food, just pay and go. We get the checks... no discounts, no apologies... I paid $153 for food we did not even get to eat. My Mom paid $55 and sister paid $77... we will NEVER return. This was the worst experience.. with no guest recovery at all. I've managed restaurants for 23 years... To preface...I would easily put this same review for every Taco Mac I have ever visited! When back in town and looking to catch up with friends and family alike, this is our go to place. The beer selection cannot be touched by any other place for miles and the food is always decent, nothing special about it, but you always get what you expect to get food wise. There nachos are always my jam, those and the buffalo tenders. The atmosphere is always great, especially for sporting events and the service is always on point. I do have a bias against franchises, but this is a good one. So glad this is here in Newnan. They change their menu frequently, have great fish tacos and one of the best Cuban sandwiches ever. I frequent Taco Mac fairly frequently, mostly for the beer. I have a love/hate relationship with this place. What frustrates me more than anything else is that it has so much stinking potential. They do good business, but could do much, much more if the food was consistent. Tonight, I had wings, like I've had dozens of times in the past. Tonight, I spit it out after the first bite. They were over-cooked and literally tasted like old meat. They very well could have been twice cooked. Regardless, I didn't eat them. Thank you for informing me because I was unaware, if I could leave the chili off as well that would be great. When I picked up my order it had chicken but still had the chili on it and some of the chips were stale. Like to the point I would bite into the chip and the chip would bend but not break off. This place has always had good food but the nachos were kind of disappointing given the understanding I have ordered these for years as my favorite dish. I've been coming here for about 9 years now. I've had one or two bad experiences but mostly good. Bartenders can be slow, but it is usually pretty busy. My biggest complaint is that the bar is constantly full with no place to sit, but that's not really their fault. Food is about what you'd expect from a sports bar. Nothing amazing, nothing horrible.
